Putuo Mountain Healray Chinese Inn

The hotel is right next to Puji Temple, very close to the bus stop and Baibu Beach. The staff are all very enthusiastic and proactively help with luggage. Lobby Manager Wang Yang provided excellent service, even giving us a small souvenir when we checked out.

This was the most satisfying stay I've had in Putuoshan in years. Even though the room was a bit of a trek to get to, I was pleasantly surprised that on such a humid day, the ground floor wasn't damp at all. The humidifier and air conditioning were already on when I entered the room. The butler was also very responsive. Plus, it's super convenient to get to Pujisi Temple, just around the corner!

Right next to Puji Temple, very close. The courtyard is tiny and connects to the neighboring property, so there's not much privacy. At over 2000 per night, it's not great value for money. They call it a family room, but it's actually quite small, and breakfast isn't included. The breakfast is really bad, and it costs 80 yuan per person. Of course, there are some positives: the location is excellent, and the butler's attitude is good.

When I was checking out this morning and came down the stairs, David Wang, the lobby manager, immediately offered to help with my luggage and asked how everything was. He was very friendly and approachable, which was great! 👍 He even recognized my stored items right away when I came back to pick them up, which made me feel incredibly welcome. It really shows that the hotel is well-managed and everyone is passionate about their work! 👏

The hotel's location is pretty good, and they offer pick-up and drop-off service to the island. Even though getting to Haiyin Pavilion was a bit inconvenient, the staff did help me out, but I felt their attitude was a little lacking! The hotel is right outside Puji Temple! The room was a bit small!

The hotel is at most a 3-minute walk to Puji Temple. After arriving at the pier, the hotel can arrange a pick-up car. Hotels on Putuo Mountain generally have higher prices and the rooms are not very large, but the hygiene in this hotel is quite good.

The hotel offers a shuttle service, and we called ahead to book it. However, the shuttle left without us, and we ended up waiting in the scorching sun for about 10 more minutes. We had to contact the front desk again and find our own way there. I think the front desk should coordinate better with the shuttle service regarding the number of guests and their contact information; it would greatly improve the guest experience. When I booked, I specifically requested not to have a room at the end of a hallway or directly facing a corridor, but that's exactly what we got. The room's window also overlooked the roof. We visited on a weekday, not a holiday, so I'm surprised the hotel was so fully booked. The room size was quite small, and the bathroom and shower were especially tiny. The facilities were standard. The shower sometimes had inconsistent hot water, alternating between cold and hot. The concierge and housekeeping staff were polite, though. Breakfast was decent. The main advantage is the location, being less than a 5-minute walk from Puji Temple and close to the island's minibus stop.

I'd say it's small but exquisite. The value for money is just average, but it's definitely popular and worth checking out. One thing I'd complain about is breakfast; the noodle chef seemed quite reluctant to add extra greens to my bowl.
