Xilei Baotuo Xingshe Hotel

If you're coming to Putuoshan, I highly recommend this hotel, which is just a few minutes' walk from Puji Temple. It's a courtyard-style hotel, quiet yet conveniently located. The Chinese Zen atmosphere is very strong. You open the window to a mountain view, and downstairs is the popular restaurant 'Yuan Zhi Yuan Wei' (Original Flavor). The hotel offers free shuttle service to and from the pier. Just call before you disembark, and a dedicated car will pick you up. The driver even proactively helps with luggage. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. We also received complimentary welcome fruit upon check-in. The hotel also provided a complimentary travel photoshoot. The photographer was excellent, with a great eye for aesthetics. He specifically chose spots with beautiful lighting and composed shots artfully. He really helped us, who are a bit awkward in front of the camera, by guiding our poses throughout, making the experience natural and relaxed. I strongly recommend this photoshoot; it's absolutely worth it.

My trip to Mount Putuo in 2026 has come to a perfect end today. I still chose Baotuo Xingshe this time, mainly because of its good value for money, its proximity to Puji Temple, and the fact that the island's popular restaurant, Yuanzhi Yuanwei, is right outside. I especially want to commend their room attendant, Xu Yulan, who was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home.

The room met our expectations, and the service was excellent. The package deal was incredibly good value for money, and the travel photography session was a nice touch. The location is superb, very close to Puji Temple, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops conveniently located downstairs.

The B&B's location is excellent, very close to Puji Temple, making it super convenient for temple visits. They provide shuttle service to and from the pier for both arrival and departure, which saved us a lot of hassle. The room was clean and tidy, and overall, I was quite satisfied with my stay.

Stayed for a day during the May Day holiday. It's super convenient, right next to Putuo Temple. There's a popular restaurant downstairs which makes dining very easy. They also offer a private shuttle service to and from the pier. I'd definitely stay here again.

The service attitude is excellent, very warm and responsive at all times. Pan at the front desk was especially friendly.

The hotel service was excellent. We had a dedicated shuttle pick us up after we arrived on the island. The location is also fantastic, with beautiful night views of the surrounding area. It's only a 2-minute walk to Puji Temple. Right outside, you'll find cultural attractions and a street full of delicious food. The room was clean, tidy, and even had a dehumidifier. Definitely worth staying here.
