"The property is not as well kept as the photos on the website would have you believe. It is rustic, basic, clean, and roomy. The pool is very nice and the staff are helpful and accommodating. The location is great, surrounded by restaurants and produce markets. It's just a couple blocks from the beach. It worked well for my family and I would recommend it to travellers looking for inexpensive accommodations."

"This is a very nice smaller boutique hotel. We have stayed here a number of times over the past 8 years and have always enjoyed the staff, the restaurant, the grounds and decor. It’s about a five minute walk to the beach in La Ropa but we are both more than happy tonight enjoy the two pools on the property. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. There was entertainment quite a few nights in the restaurant which was all enjoyable. Ran into lots of people who go there year after year so that speaks for itself."

Villa de La Roca

"We very much enjoyed our stay at Villa de la Roca. The room was quaint and very clean. There’s a small frig and waters in the room. Isabell and Javier took great care of us! Can’t say enough good things about them. We appreciate them so much! Breakfast was lovely. The view can’t be beat. Short walk downhill to the beach. Uphill walk to get to main road to town. Taxi’s will come to front door, if you’re not a walker. We had use of the large frig and ice from the main kitchen. There are stairs, but not an issue at all with us. We went next door to Casa Que Canta for margaritas. There is a fabulous restaurant in that hotel."
