Das Zimmer war sehr warm. Trotz Außentemperatur von max. 20 Grad und gekippten Fenstern hat sich das Zimmer aufgeheizt. Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn nicht nur eine sehr dicke Decke zur Verfügung gestanden hätte. Besser wäre eine dünne Decke gewesen. Durch die gekippten Fenster und den Luftzug haben leider die Jalousien ständig an der Wand geklappert was mich sehr gestört hat. Ich bin mehrfach aufgewacht deswegen. Mit Handtüchern habe ich das abgestellt bekommen. Vielleicht könnte man Haken an der Wand anbringen, damit man die Leinen der Jalousien dort fixieren könnte, um das Klappern zu vermeiden. Das Frühstück war ok. Leider nur Filterkaffee und keine Marmelade. Teewasser musste man extra nachfragen, hat man also nur auf Anfrage erhalten.

Wir haben zwischen Weihnachten und Neujahr 2022 hier gebucht, sind mit hohen Erwartungen angereist. Unsere Erwartungen wurden sogar noch übertroffen: sehr schön restauriertes Hotel, in welchem 'Altes' mit 'Neuem' gekonnt verbunden wurde. Freundlicher Empfang und schönes Frühstücksbuffet. Schon im Treppenaufgang ist zu sehen, dass hier überlegt und mit Liebe zum Detail saniert wurde. Ebenso im Zimmer (Suite M): wir haben alles wie auf der Hotel-Webseite beschrieben vorgefunden. Schöne Holzdielen, bequemes Doppelbett, geräumiges, stilvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer. Sehr angenehm und auch ruhig - trotz Fenster zum zentral gelegenen Markt. Gern mal wieder!

Top designtes neues, hochwertig ausgestattetes Hotel direkt am zentralen Marktplatz. Eine Mischung aus historischem Gebäude, sichtbaren Betondecken und Backsteinwänden, Parkett, moderner Kunst. Alte Schichten des Gebäudes werden gezeigt, wie bei Chipperfield. Sehr cooles Wohfühlambiente, solche Hotels sollte es viel mehr geben, auch an solchen kleineren Orten. Sehr bequemes Bett, großer Flachbildschirm, riesiges hochwertiges Bad mit großer Walk-in-Dusche. Wasserflasche und Teestation auf dem Zimmer. Abwechslungsreiches und einfallsreiches Frühstück im chicen Frühstücksraum mit Jazzmusik. Ich würde sehr gerne wiederkommen.

Hotel Sonne in Zittau is an outstanding highlight in Saxonia‼️😀 The historical building is skillfully refurbished, mingling old with new into a total work of art 😀. Room no. 5 on second floor is impressively spacious, approx. 40 square meters, parquet floor and three big windows, looking directly to main square. Bicycles and motorcycles may be parked in the courtyard. Starting from the courtyard, an outside staircase connects a flight of terraces, which allow a beautiful view over the roofs of Zittau. Personnel is extraordinarily supportive and friendly 😀 - thank you, ladies!
