VitalBoutique Hotel Zurzacherhof

Zuerst zum Positiven: Das Hotel liegt direkt neben der Therme und ist somit bestens geeignet für einen Wellnessaufenthalt. Mein Zimmer (EZ) war zweckmässig eingerichtet, hatte eine komfortable Grösse und war sauber. Der Empfang war freundlich und kompetent. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist erwartungsgemäss und bietet ausreichend Auswahl. Und nun zu dem, was meiner Meinung nach etwas schade ist: Leider gibt es am Frühstücksbuffet wenig gesunde Alternativen wie bspw. Knäckebrot, Quark/Skyr oder eine grössere Früchteauswahl. Das ist aber sicherlich Geschmacksache. Was mich jedoch wirklich gestört hat, ist die Tatsache, dass das bereitgestellte Saunatuch für den gesamten Aufenthalt reichen soll. Ich finde es einfach nur eklig, dasselbe Tuch mehrmals zu benutzen, nachdem ich es in der Sauna verwendet habe. Man kann zwar für 4.- Fr. pro Stück ein neues Tuch für den nächsten Tag an der Reception holen, aber das finde ich doch ziemlich kleinlich. Dass für den Bademantel, will man den getauscht haben, eine Gebühr (6.- Fr.) fällig wird, ist ja okay. Aber für ein Tuch?!? Dann hat mich als Frühaufsteherin geärgert, dass das Restaurant morgens nicht pünktlich geöffnet hat. Ich musste beide Male vor verschlossener Türe warten, wenn auch nicht lange. Dennoch, die kommunizierten Zeiten sollten eingehalten und nicht noch Reinigungsarbeiten durchgeführt werden, wenn schon Gäste warten. Was ausserden schade ist, aber nicht wirklich so ohne weiteres geändert werden kann, ist der Umstand, dass es keine direkte Passage zur Therme gibt. Man muss aussen rum gehen, was zwar nicht weit ist, jedoch etwas unbequem. Alles in allem hatte ich einen angenehmen Aufenhalt und würde durchaus auch nochmals hier übernachten.

The reception by Ms. Weyeneth was very friendly, with all the necessary information. The single room was very soberly decorated, unfortunately not really a comfortable room, but very clean. Comfortable bed, thank you for the second pillow. Evening meal, excellent despite chaotic service, breakfast buffet with an extra-special selection of bread, otherwise rather modest. The friendliness of the employees varied greatly. In the morning I would like to be greeted with a "good morning" and not "which room number?". In general, the employees from Germany seemed much grumpier than the others. Actually, I know it the other way around. The cleaning ladies who come into the room before 10 a.m. and ask "when are we leaving" is absolutely not appropriate. The finer details are missing in this hotel, but if you calculate that entry to the thermal baths is included on both days, you can't complain much. I'm not sure whether I'll return.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Vital Boutique Hotel Zurzacherhof. The breakfast was very plentiful; the wait staff were extremely courteous and attentive. The à la carte evening meals were all impressive. The patisserie for dessert or afternoon tea was also excellent. - The junior suite was spacious, the beds comfortable, the bathroom with the radiator was functionally equipped. For seniors, a rug with nubs is a must in the shower. We even got a bath seat. - The massage in the basement of the hotel was refreshing. - The green wristbands guaranteed entry to the thermal baths with its various pools between 39.5 and 18 degrees from the day of arrival to the day of departure. The hotel's bathrobes and towels were kept ready in convenient bags. - We would have liked a seasonal fruit in the room. Otherwise we were very satisfied.

Location right next to the thermal baths, within walking distance. Parking spaces in the underground garage. Friendly staff. Family rooms large and spacious. Extra beds of suboptimal quality. Good breakfast buffet.

This was our second time at this hotel. Very friendly staff. Quick check-in. The food was great. Included in the price: free access to the thermal baths, bath towel, bathrobe and flip-flops. An all-round great hotel stay! We'll be back!
