Hobart is a great place to experience wine culture. The cool climate and pure water here provide natural advantages for the brewing of high-quality wines. At the Cascade Brewery, an old Australian winery built in 1832, the Gothic architecture is unique, where you can taste the mellow beer brewed from sunny wheat and enjoy delicious desserts. Hobart Morina Estate will show you the whole process of winemaking, from grape picking to aging and bottling, and every step is condensed with the winemaker's hard work. The whiskey of Sullivan's Bay Brewery is famous, using local barley, soft water from the Wellington Mountains and unique brewing technology to create a rich whiskey. The vineyards of Frogmore Creek are close to the ocean and have a mild microclimate. Here, you can taste wines with suitable acidity and rich flavor. In Hobart, go deep into these wineries, taste different fine wines, and start an unforgettable wine culture journey.

#australiatravel We went there for a late breakfast and everything's amazing. I love how the menu is kind of Asian inspired and they made it so good. Me and my friend love the dandan noodles which is a perfect balance of the creamy nutty flavors that cut by a tangy sour pickled cabbage and the chili oil also very aromatic. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, one of them even offer to take a photo for us even when they're quite busy. Definitely coming back if we're ever in Hobart again, love the overall vibes of the place so much and the music is great as well.

The oldest brewery in Hobart, Tasmania

The oldest brewery in Hobart, Tasmania

Located in South Hobart, we took an Uber from the city center to visit Australia's oldest brewery. The journey took less than ten minutes and the round-trip fare was only 30AUD, so the journey was not very far. You can book a brewery tour of this eight-year-old brewery directly on its official website, or walk in for a drink like we did. There's a lot of space here, so we chose outdoor seats with a beautiful view. We tried the Cascade Road Tasting Paddle, so we could taste the most famous beers here all at once, including lager, draught, pale ale and stout! I personally think pale ale is the best, with a clear and sweet taste. Which one do you like best? 🕰️Opening hours: 12:00-17:00 📍Address: 140 Cascade Rd, Hobart Tasmania Australia 💰Average consumption: ~30AUD

Mysterious Island Tasmania Australia

Mysterious Island Tasmania Australia

I went on a 4 night 5 day family trip. The schedule was Sydney-Hobart, Lanceston-Sydney. The city in the photo is Hobart. The view of Hobart and the sunset from the top of Mount Wellington was so beautiful. Bruny Island is a must-visit place where you can buy Tasmanian oysters and cherries right away. I was worried because the weather was a little cloudy, but the weather got better ^^

Historical Charm + Beer Aroma — Cascade Brewery is a Must-Visit Spot!

After hiking down the Zig Zag Track on Mount Wellington, we couldn't miss visiting Australia's oldest brewery — Cascade Brewery! Not only does it offer exceptional local beers, but the entire building itself is steeped in history. Its vintage and majestic exterior makes it a perfect spot for photos. Inside the restaurant, we tried several craft beers with different flavors. Each one was unique, with a rich taste that wasn't overly bitter — perfect for unwinding after a hike. The restaurant's ambiance was cozy, and the outdoor seating offered stunning mountain views, creating an amazing atmosphere. We also ordered a serving of Fish & Chips, which was perfectly crispy and paired wonderfully with the beer — a perfect combo. Whether you're a local or a tourist, Cascade Brewery is a must-visit destination in Hobart, blending history and flavor seamlessly!
