Inner Mongolia is truly a hidden paradise and a tourist destination. Due to the temperature, the travel time to Hulunbuir Grassland is very limited. When visiting the nomads, they said it gets very cold after October, and winter comes early. I visited Hulunbuir in August, which is the peak season, but there were very few tourists. The natural scenery is very special for someone like me from the south who has never seen a grassland. The diverse ethnic culture is also very attractive to me. What impressed me the most about this trip to Hulunbuir Grassland was visiting the nomadic households. Riding a Lele cart across the grassland, experiencing the scenery of "wind blowing grass, seeing cattle and sheep." Lele carts are ancient transportation tools used by the Mongolian people on the grassland, pulled by horses, oxen, or in my case, camels. Several carts are connected together, taking about half an hour to cross the heart of the grassland to its depths. Along the way, you can see herds of cattle, horses, and sheep, and see nomads riding horses galloping across the grassland. The Lele cart jolts as it traverses the grassland. After arriving at our destination, there was a welcoming ceremony where I was presented with a Hada. Then I changed into Mongolian attire and could walk around the grassland. There were activities like drinking milk tea, eating snacks, listening to songs played on the morin khuur, and a game where we competed to pick up cow dung. Whoever picked the least would lose and be punished by drinking mare's milk wine. Haha, so I shouted, "The mare's milk wine is mine." Later, we took an off-road vehicle to the top of the mountain to overlook the entire grassland scenery. For someone visiting Hulunbuir Grassland for the first time, this activity was really fun. I witnessed the beauty of the grassland, saw herds of cattle, sheep, and horses running past, experienced the culture of the nomadic people, and listened to Mongolian songs. If you go to Inner Mongolia, I recommend arranging such an activity. Honestly, there are many beautiful sceneries in this world. I like a place 100% because of the people.
