I booked a hotel at the last minute (I booked it on the train to Quebec and didn't do any travel planning). I originally hoped to book a hotel 500 meters away from the train station, but almost all the hotels that met my requirements in terms of price and performance were gone. I had to book this hotel about one kilometer away from the train station. After checking in, I discovered that this hotel is located at the very core of Quebec's old city. It is only 100 meters away from the famous and top-notch Fairmont Chateau Hotel and the terrace area. It is basically 100 to 500 meters away from the main attractions, the business district and dining area of the old city. Mine. The landlady, a Chinese from Guangzhou, is very friendly. recommend!
The guy at the front desk was very welcoming and the check-in process was very smooth. The hotel is in a great location, facing the Fontana Castle, and very close to the Notre Dame Church and the Trinity Church. The room was small but clean, and I was very satisfied with the stay
7/8/10 Room is the basement, just gave room 7...
The room is small and stuffy, humid and not ventilated, and there is no service 😂
I can't enter less than 4pm. I was locked outside the door an hour early. I couldn't enter the hotel lobby. I was forced to wait until 4pm.

This hotel is a little gem in a super area of downtown Montreal. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable, with high-quality sheets and a good selection of comfortable pillows. A kitchenette made it very easy to pick up salads or snacks to refrigerate or reheat leftovers from a restaurant the night before. Breakfast is included and there’s a good selection of fruit, boiled eggs, smoked salmon, deli meats and yogurt. Cereals as well. While there were scrambled eggs, I tried them twice but not cooked to my taste. Having said that, there were fresh pastries and bagels, so a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon with some fruit served very well.
This hotel is very walkable to Notre Dame, Place des Arts and several theatres and museums. Lots of great restaurants to suit anyone’s tastes. The subway is literally a 3-minute walk and in 10 minutes, you can be at the Jean Talon Market, which has a plethora of foods and drinks to suit anyone’s taste palate.
I’d highly recommend Hotel and Spa Carre St. Denis and will definitely be back next time I visit Montreal.
It is a very old building, and it feels good to live here. But the room heating is insufficient, especially when it is minus ten degrees outside. I didn't notice at the beginning, the heating was turned on for a long time, and the temperature was slow. There is only one small heater against the wall in a room, and another relatively large fan. The wind in the fan is cold. I have reflected it with the hotel, but it has not been solved very well. It was not until the second day that I got up in the morning and the temperature slowly rose. Other services are still very good.
The hotel is in the old town, very close to the attractions and within walking distance. Just in time for the Christmas season in Quebec City, the streets and alleys are all dressed up with various Christmas decorations, and the lights are very beautiful at night. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean, with two large beds very comfortable. Because there is no elevator in the old house, the residents can only climb the stairs, but fortunately, they can exercise on the third floor. There is a Thai restaurant on the first floor of the hotel, and the business is good. I originally booked a room without breakfast. I upgraded it to include breakfast at the front desk. Thank you very much. The parking fee for two nights was also confiscated before checking out. This trip was really worthwhile.
The manager notified the check in was delayed an hour when we arrived at the property.
I requested compensation for it as we should search for a place to spend time. She made a partial refund from the parking fee.
The room was clean and nice to have 5 people in one place.
The staff are very careful and, above all, there are bikes available!
Attention for people with reduced mobility or heavy baggage, you need to ask for a rdc because no lift.

GGuest UserI had an outstanding stay at this hotel and would gladly return. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Check-in was quick, and I appreciated how clearly everything was explained.
We came to ski at Le Massif, Mont-Sainte-Anne, and Stoneham, and stayed for three nights. The location was very convenient — about 20 minutes from Le Massif and 15 minutes from Mont-Sainte-Anne. The price was very affordable, and the whole place was extremely clean.
There’s no breakfast included, but the hotel has a large shared kitchen that is fully equipped: lots of pots and pans, plates, utensils, and even cooking oil, salt, pepper, and some snacks — all free. There are plenty of dining tables, and there’s also a pool table where we could relax in the evenings.
Overall, this hotel was comfortable, convenient, and a great value. I would definitely recommend it and would be happy to stay here again.
