I booked this hotel in a hurry and had no idea it was the former residence of General Wu Shi. That was a pleasant surprise! The hotel is in an excellent location, right in a lively tourist area. The only downside is that you have to walk quite a bit from the pedestrian street to a spot where you can easily catch a taxi. Being an old mansion, the facilities are definitely a bit dated. The solar water heater ran out of hot water halfway through my shower, and there was a lot of fine dust on the bedsheets when I entered the room. There was also a sewage smell in the living area. These aspects made for a less-than-ideal stay, but for just one night, I won't be too picky. I hope these areas for improvement can be addressed so the hotel can operate even better.

I love staying at Tangtao Yard Hostel. The whole place is historic, homey, comfy and tranquillising. I was so lucky to be greeted by a young boy who is the receptionist at the place. He is super helpful and gave me a map detailing all the major scenic spots at Gulangzu. He even told me where I could find great places for local delicacies, making my whole tour memorable and exquisite.
My room was very spacious and quiet. The bedding was spotlessly clean. I fell asleep immediately when l lay on the comfy bed.
I would definitely pay a visit here again. Thanks for everything.

Our stay this time was absolutely fantastic! This European-style villa completely exceeded my expectations and added countless wonderful memories to our trip.
The exterior of the villa is very grand, with classic European lines and vintage lighting, making it feel as if we were instantly transported to a charming European town. The surrounding environment is serene and quiet, offering great privacy without feeling isolated.
Stepping inside was even more delightful! The interior decoration is exquisite and elegant, brimming with a strong artistic ambiance. The fireplace in the living room (even if decorative), the spiral staircase, and the vintage furniture all contributed to a wonderful atmosphere. The room was spacious and bright, and the bedding was comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep.
The villa manager was incredibly thoughtful, responding promptly to communications and offering many helpful tips for local sightseeing. They made our stay feel as warm and welcoming as coming home.

This stay was absolutely perfect! Five stars, no doubt! The hotel's location is super convenient, with everything you need nearby, making it effortless to get around and go shopping. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and attentive; check-in and check-out were super fast, always with a smile, paying great attention to every detail. The room was clean and tidy, with excellent natural light, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a really sound sleep. The bathroom had no unpleasant odors, the amenities were fully stocked and good quality, and the facilities were well-maintained and looked new. The breakfast spread was extensive, with both Chinese and Western options, and the taste was spot-on – very satisfying. The overall environment was quiet and comfortable, a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. Staying during the Year of the Horse, I even felt a strong New Year's atmosphere. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in the area!

My parents and I stayed and dined at Fuyu Lou, which is considered the grandest Tulou in the Tulou Prince Scenic Area. Our host, Ah Wen, was incredibly warm and attentive; he even picked us up and dropped us off at the village entrance, and treated us to a delightful tea tasting. The dishes prepared by the auntie were incredibly delicious, allowing us to truly savor authentic Tulou cuisine. The courtyard had a wonderful ambiance, becoming particularly stunning in the evenings when the lanterns illuminated. Our room was also very clean, and the high-quality toiletries provided were a nice touch. When my parents felt a bit chilly at night, the auntie, despite already having gone to bed, thoughtfully brought them extra blankets – we were truly grateful for her kindness! Having explored various other Tulou structures throughout the Tulou Prince Scenic Area, we unanimously agreed that Fuyu Lou stands out as exceptional in every aspect – its rich history, beautiful environment, and the wonderful host. We truly made the perfect choice! Our stay and dining experience at Fuyu Lou was undoubtedly the biggest highlight of our entire Fujian trip!

What an amazing find of a nice cosy hotel with hard to match friendly hospitality and home atmosphere. It's located in a quiet and easy to get to street with easy accessibilty.
As it's our first time here we found the assistance accorded tremendously helpful. Whether it's with places of interest to visit or favourable restaurants the recommendations were spot-on. We also found the friendly advice of local culture useful. The tea sessions with the landlord are memorable.
We highly recommend a stay at this hotel if you should be thinking of making a visit to this region. We very much look forward to our next visit.

An unforgettable experience; staying in a Tulou was incredibly special. The host was incredibly welcoming and even gave us helpful tips for our trip! The Tulou itself was meticulously maintained. The room was great and very comfortable. Although our room didn't have an en-suite bathroom, we had convenient access to one in another room. Stepping out, we were greeted with beautiful views of the Tulou's courtyard and the sky. At night, once the Tulou closed to visitors, it became incredibly quiet. The red lanterns were still lit, creating a truly captivating atmosphere. It was also very convenient that we could freely visit the nearby Chengqi Building at night.

This guesthouse is designed in the traditional 'three courtyards, four sections' (san jin si he yuan) layout.
The bluestone slabs, wooden beams and columns, and carved windows make you feel like you've stepped back in time the moment you enter.
The entire house is controlled by voice, allowing you to turn on/off lights, adjust the air conditioning, and draw curtains, enjoying smart living within an ancient, charming courtyard – a wonderful contrast.
The guesthouse was much cleaner than I expected. The bedding was soft, and there wasn't a speck of dust even in the corners. The location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk to the core attractions of West Street, so you can easily pop back to rest whenever you get tired of exploring.
Upon check-in, the owner recommended some lesser-known local eateries and travel routes. The breakfast is an authentic local specialty; the congee, side dishes, and freshly made pastries all taste wonderfully homemade.
When the sunlight streams into the courtyard, illuminating the lush greenery, I love sitting on the stone bench and just daydreaming, feeling myself slow down completely.
I will always love Quanzhou.
In Tingzhou we had the great privilege of staying in a heritage building converted into a BnB, and this building has an even crazier story - it was the imperial stage-post of Tingzhou, dating back to the reign of Emperor Chenghua of Ming (late 1400s).
In the Yuan Dynasty, the Mongolian empire was so massive that it became necessary to develop what was likely the most efficient postal system the world had ever seen up till then. In the following Ming Dynasty, China inherited and refined the imperial postal system so that there was an abundance of stage-posts in the empire to provide lodging for couriers delivering imperial edicts, and traveling officials.
If you think it’s expensive to stay in such a gorgeous and unique building, think again. We thoroughly enjoyed the beauty and value for money of this place, as well as the friendliness of the staffs.

GGuest UserThis time we chose to stay inside the scenic area. The hotel was well-equipped and very quiet. I was initially worried about mosquitoes, but we didn't even need to use mosquito coils! Our room was upgraded and even more comfortable. After hiking in the evening, we were a bit tired and didn't want to go out for dinner, so the hotel specially prepared a dinner for us, including Hong Kong-style salt-baked chicken! All four of us were very satisfied!
GGuest UserStaying at ”Nanjing Tulou Yunlai Mountain Villa”, the beautiful boss was very enthusiastic, and also upgraded the room, and told us the best route to visit the attractions. What made me feel the deepest was the boss's enthusiasm. Although breakfast, lunch and dinner are home-cooked dishes, they taste very good, and the ingredients are all green foods. The most commendable thing is that I do not slaughter guests. In addition, the villa is the closest to the four dishes and one soup attraction, and it is also the highest mountain view. It is very convenient to take night views at night. The most important thing is that it is especially convenient for self-driving parking. There are plenty of free parking spaces. It is worth recommending to everyone.

XXihuanfeixiangdezhuOverall, I am satisfied with the old-fashioned style. The room is clean and tidy with complete facilities. Some suggestions: First, after booking a room, you have to go to the door by yourself, unlike other B&B owners who will contact you +V to remind you of things to pay attention to. Second, the house is not far from the north and south entrances of Wuyi Mountain, and is only across a bridge from the dining area, but you need to explore there by yourself. Third, when I was staying upstairs at night, I met two people chatting and walking around. The room was not soundproofed and the noise was very loud. I was woken up at around two o'clock in the middle of the night. I went out to look for the service staff, but no one was on duty. I could only stand in the yard and shout. Later, I ran upstairs and knocked on the door to remind them before they went to sleep quietly.
MM2e7px9oa****Very good experience, sister Fang is very enthusiastic. After adding WeChat, she sent a lot of precautions and food routes in advance. The homestay is close to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street. It is very convenient for shopping and eating. It is also convenient to travel. The subway station and bus station are all next to it. The room was cleaned very clean, the bathroom was separated from wet and dry, very satisfied, if you come to Xiamen next time, you will choose here

DDoudoudoudoudouxiaosuoIt was my first time to Gulangyu Island. When I arrived at the pier, someone would come to pick me up and help me with my luggage. They were very welcoming. I would pass by several must-see attractions on my way to the hotel. The receptionist was also very nice and explained along the way. After arriving at the hotel, we were given an upgraded room type, which allowed us to overlook the sea view of Gulangyu Island. The design style of the entire hotel and the room is very unique. I was too tired to take photos at the hotel. The room type was exactly the same as described in the room type description. What you see is what you get. It was great. Regarding the tour guide of Gulangyu Island, there is a tour map in the hotel. The receptionist was also very detailed in helping to introduce the plan. The overall service was very enthusiastic. It is the best B&B choice for my next visit to Gulangyu Island~
GGuest UserI originally planned a one-day trip to Taxia Village, but I stayed there for two days because of the boss's enthusiasm, sincerity, and the environment of the village. Friends who like quietness and leisure should not miss Taxia Village. The temperature is suitable, cool, very original and not very commercialized. The Firefly we stayed at this time is a store run by the couple with great care. We also let the boss arrange the food at Firefly. We told the boss how many people can eat and what the budget is, so we can go out and play with peace of mind. The meal in the picture only costs 200 yuan, tastes great and is very filling! ! What I like most is that there is a large platform to dry clothes, and you can lie on a chair and watch the stars in the sky at night! You can also see a lot of fireflies in June and July! A very satisfying stay! I will come again 🥰

XXianhuayaThe location of the room is very good, close to the Wuyigong Scenic Area and the old commercial street. It is very convenient for shopping and shopping. The hotel bathroom is good and of good quality. The window faces Dawang Peak, and downstairs is the Rainbow Bridge. It is good for a walk!
