GGuest UserNice privately-owned hotel in an old building right in the middle of the historical former German district. I enjoyed the stay.
A couple of things you need to realize, though:
1) no supermarkets around. The nearest convenience store is a good 500 meters walk at ”Taipinjiao Park” subway station;
2) no budget restaurants/Western fast food shops. Plenty of fancy overpriced local food restaurants nearby, however;
3) room cleaning is light. They just replace trash bags and towels. No making up the bed or floor mopping;
4) you'll see ants, mosquitoes and an occasional spider in the room, as it's located in a very old Japanese-occupation era building in a garden-like environment. But they warn you about that in the hotel Welcome message. Plus the hotel provides an anti-mosquito pluggable device. Use it.
5) there's a restaurant on premices right in front of the hotel rooms. They play music, but not loud enough to bother me. They close shop at 8pm. There's another restaurant right next door. That one is louder, but even them wind up at around 9pm. So, it didn't bother me...
6) the manager is very much responsive. He sent me a welcome message the day before I checked in, plus the hotel exact location map, so I could find it. The other hotel/restaurant staff are very friendly also.
I enjoyed the stay. Bathing Beach 2 (an old German pivate villas beach) is right next door, so I did plenty of sunbathing and swimming. Fun...

OOurzujiThe service attitude was excellent! They called in advance to confirm our arrival time and even picked us up at the entrance to the scenic area, helping us with our luggage all the way. Their comment, 'You don't need to worry about anything, we'll handle it,' was truly spot on. 👍 Big praise to the two handsome guys who picked us up. The room itself was beautiful and great for photos. Being right inside the scenic area made exploring Daming Lake very convenient.
Areas for improvement:
1. The restaurant isn't connected to the rooms, requiring a shuttle bus. The shuttle runs only every half hour, which is inconvenient.
2. The bathroom in the room lacks privacy in its layout. This is really inconvenient for parents with children of the opposite sex, and even for two friends of the same sex.
Suggestions:
1. Increase the frequency of the shuttle bus or offer in-room breakfast service.
2. Add a door or partition to the overall bathroom area.
Finally, a big shout-out to the front desk staff for their excellent and enthusiastic service. ❤️🔥 They provided a great introduction upon check-in and even offered a souvenir upon departure. 👍 Big praise again to all the staff; every handsome guy and beautiful lady I encountered did an amazing job! 👍

GGuest UserTraveling with friends, I found a random place. I didn't expect the room to be very clean and tidy, and the room is spacious. In comparison, this is the most comfortable place to live. The price is not high, and the environment is quite good.

VvonvonvonThe hotel's location is excellent, right next to Baotu Spring. It's within walking distance of some of Jinan's most important attractions, including Baotu Spring, the city moat, and Black Tiger Spring.
Although the hotel's decor has some age, it's well-maintained. The front desk staff (Xiaoyue) was very helpful and upgraded my room, which made the whole experience even better.
The hotel offers its own breakfast, which is good value for money. The Majia Quanshui Baozi (steamed buns) nearby are also quite unique and worth recommending.

SShanmeizi-dongerWhat a pleasant surprise! It felt like staying right inside a historic attraction, with an antique charm and excellent service. It's super close to Zhanqiao Pier, and there's a Luckin Coffee and a convenience store right across the street. Highly recommend staying here. The only minor drawback was that the room type we booked didn't have a piano.

AAnonymous UserThe service is very enthusiastic, but there is really not much to do at night on the mountain.
There are almost no tourists at night and it is very quiet.
You can drive along the mountain road to the beach by yourself, but you should pay attention to keep warm and safe when the wind and waves are strong at night.
I don't know what happened during the day, so I slept all night and left.
The surrounding restaurants are not expensive but not delicious either. I suggest you make your own noodles.
