Discovering this Zen-inspired hotel nestled in the vibrant heart of Wenshu Monastery area was truly the most delightful surprise of my Chengdu trip! Stepping into the courtyard, I was immediately soothed by the grey tiles, white walls, dry landscape garden, and rustic wooden decor. The 'Buddhist Affinity' screen in the lobby and the Four-Faced Buddha statues exuded a tranquil Zen charm, and even the staff's 'Namaste' greetings were incredibly gentle. The room featured a Chinese Zen design with solid wood furniture and a tea set by the window. The bedding was so soft that I slept soundly all night, and from the balcony, I could catch glimpses of the traditional Western Sichuan folk houses in the alleyways. The location is absolutely perfect; it's a 5-minute walk to Wenshu Monastery subway station, surrounded by hot pot restaurants and snack stalls, and just a 10-minute taxi ride to Chunxi Road. Although the breakfast was simple, it was exquisite, offering vegetarian dishes alongside Western pastries, and even the freshly ground coffee was rich and fragrant. The staff also proactively recommended authentic local eateries and hidden gems. To find such a tranquil and conveniently located retreat in the midst of the bustling city, offering both serene Zen ambiance and easy access to urban life, is incredible value for money. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Chengdu!

First, the room was located on Shangzhongshun Street, near the port. It was easy to find and close to many restaurants. There's affordable street parking. The room was clean and tidy. The window facing the inner courtyard wasn't noisy. The only problem was that the suitcases were a little difficult to pull up the stairs. I'd recommend removing the rocks from the floor. Overall, I highly recommend staying here again next time I'm in Leshan!
I also recommend the fried food in the alley next to it! It's delicious.

Staying here for my trip to Chengdu was a fantastic choice! The owner is incredibly welcoming. The ground floor is a pub, and the third floor is dedicated to accommodations. The decor is unique, with lush greenery at the entrance, and the interior is cozy, elegant, and full of artistic flair. There were quite a few foreign guests, and the atmosphere was truly delightful. The facilities are comprehensive and new, and the beds are more spacious than in other hostels. The bathroom has a fantastic wet/dry separation and is super clean. The location is also incredibly convenient, close to bus and subway lines, and Wenshu Monastery. As someone who's stayed in hostels for years, this is the first time I've ever felt so at home. I'll definitely choose to stay here again when I return for summer vacation, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chengdu!

This is the third time I have stayed here. I like the environment here very much. The room is simple and clean. The most important thing is that there is a slide in the room. The children like it very much. The view from the room is very good. The most important thing is that the food is delicious and the boss is nice. It's also very nice and the stay is very comfortable.

The hotel is close to the entrance of the ancient city, convenient for access and good hygiene. The receptionist was very enthusiastic and upgraded the room. The only thing is that the soundproofing is not very good. The door opening noise is loud when entering and exiting, and there are occasional noises downstairs. Disposable earplugs are provided in the room.
The hotel is in the great location and you feel like you moved in time. Room is clean and shower works well. Beautiful courtyard downstairs. Breakfast let us down. There was no fresh orange juice or average food. The room can get hot even with air conditioner on. I did not find it as an issue but if you plan to arrive in August or June it could be a problem. There is a cosy wibe in this place and we would come back. Price is excellent.

We all loved staying here in this beautiful hotel. Traditional decoration on the outside with modern comfort and convenience on the inside. Such a cosy place with thoughtfully designed rooms. Heated floors were incredible during our winter stay. Shower was spacious with instant hot water and strong water pressure. Host was very helpful and welcoming. Short walk to a couple of restaurants and small supermarkets/mini mart. Free shuttle to the entrance of JZG. We also used their paid pick up/drop off service from the hsr station which was very convenient with a good safe driver and car. Felt very well taken care of at this accommodation. Recommended without hesitation for all travellers visiting JZG.

First of all, the customer service is amazing, the receptionist girl that checked me in was very nice and accommodating. She even picked me up at the front of the alley because I couldn't find the hotel, amap somehow couldn't pinpoint this hotel's location due to the density of this area. Second, the location is perfect, surrounded by restaurants and street vendors, and across the bridge is where the shopping centre is. However, this hotel is very outdated, the room is very dark and the hallways are also very dark. For the amenities, they only provide 2 bath towels and no hand towels or bath mat towels. But, if you have no issue with the outdated setting of the room or the dark setting, this is your perfect hotel because the price is not expensive.
The room was quite nice, with one bedroom, one living room, and one bathroom. It was clean and tidy, and there was a yard where you could drink tea, chat, and just relax. It was right in the ancient town, which was very convenient. The owner was very nice. We parked our car in the parking lot, and the owner came over on a tricycle to pick us up with our luggage. The layout of the town is pretty good, with many paid attractions, but they are all newly built and feel average. I wanted to fly a drone, but found it was a no-fly zone, which was a pity.
The paid parking lot provided by the B&B is about a ten-minute walk from the B&B. The walk up a slope, down stairs, and the uneven stone path aren't ideal for carrying luggage.
I requested to make the bed in advance during booking, but it wasn't made upon arrival. The waiter said the owner hadn't told me otherwise. The tatami bed was very hard. No mattress or quilt was provided, just a thin layer of cushioning. I tried it, but it was too hard to sleep on. I asked the waiter to add an extra quilt, which was enough to get me through the night.
Suggestion: Buying a removable mattress is inexpensive. If the cost is too high, the room can be sold at a higher price, but don't let people sleep poorly.
The upper half of the room door is carved with openwork, but there are no curtains inside. It faces the tatami bed on the first floor, and the glare in the morning makes it difficult to sleep.

EEH WangThe service is very good. They provided free early morning breakfast for UTMS runners. Accidentally locked myself out in the wee hours but the staff could be reached for the rescue. They even helped in the arrangement for transport to Chengdu. Recommended hotel stay at Siguniang.

GGuest UserVery cozy and cute accommodation. The food is very pleasing especially Yak hot pot. The owner and staff took good care of the guests. Good suggestions and friendly greetings were provided from them. We didn’t have to do anything about the luggage and the taxi. They dealt with them all. I cordially recommend this stay!! If I come to Mount Siguniang again, I will stay here.

GGuest UserFacilities: A very distinctive homestay. The murals on the corridor are also enough to highlight the atmosphere. The prayer flags fluttering in the wind add more color under the blue sky. There are also panda dolls in the room to welcome you, and you can feel the small details of the boss.
Service: We arrived in the afternoon. The journey was still very tiring, but the boss prepared free afternoon tea for us to sit for a while. In the century-old house, we relaxed our body and mind. The dinner here was also very satisfying and warming. The ingredients were fresh and delicious, and we didn’t have to go out for a stroll.
The breakfast in the morning was also very nutritious and well matched. After eating, the boss even arranged a special car to send it to the scenic spot. It was very considerate. The overall feeling of staying here was that you don’t have to worry about it, saving the waiting time for your own trip. I will definitely recommend it to my friends in the future!

GGuest UserChengdu is one of my favorite cities in China , the tea culture and other cultural opportunities , parks and a great transport system .
I have also stayed at Holly’s previously many years ago .. the staff are always very helpful as my language skills are not good . Many staff speak English well and those who may not be fluent in English still are very helpful.
There is a metro relatively close by and also staff helped me get a didi to the south railway station where i could catch the line 18 metro airport express to Tianfu International airport ( 24 hour service ) for 10rmb for about a 45 min ride such a bargain !
The rooms for price are also good , quiet , good aircon , functional , laundry facilties , breakfast and the location really is great across from a beautiful traditional park that also has a temple and at night a great food market ..
the area of Wouhouci is also an interesting diverse area with incredible shops and many eating local eating places and its easy to get into the city centre by walking or transport
NniniverseThe room was clean, in a great location with beautiful views. There were many restaurants and shops nearby. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the Jiuzhaigou park ticket office. The owner was very kind and took great care of us until check-out. Highly recommended!

KKatja HerlemannEmma is a wonderful host and we felt very much at home! She speaks great English and knows about everything a traveler might want and need.
Her whole family is super friendly and open and we enjoyed hanging out. Her cook made us one of the best meals with local and seasonal vegetables that we have had on the whole trip.
The location of the charming guesthouse is in a quiet side street, away from the hustle of this very touristic town.
The only small drawback was a horse trip that we booked through Emma, but it's partly my own fault because I should have inquired in detail beforehand. It wasn't horseriding but sitting on a horse while the guide was walking next to it and holding it the entire time - even though I do know well how to ride a horse. We felt pretty ridiculous, especially because it was an expensive activity... So best to discuss exactly what to expect :)
