Deyang Mansion is a homely place run by an elderly couple. One of the best things about Deyang is that it is easy to talk to the couple and get local food and travel recommendations over a cup of tea. If you enjoy being in the company of cats or returning home to cats, there's 10 cats in Deyang as of today (6 adults and 4 kittens). They enjoy lounging in the lobby and yard. The place is also very clean. So I highly recommend both solo travellers and families visiting Shangri La to stay here!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here! The room was beautiful, stylish, and incredibly clean. The location is perfect, as it’s very close to Lijiang Old Town. What made our trip truly special was our host, Ah Fei. He went above and beyond for us, starting from picking us up at the train station. He helped us arrange our Jade Dragon Snow Mountain tour and gave us excellent advice on how to navigate and enjoy Lijiang like a local. No matter how small the request, he was always there to help with a smile. Thank you so much, Ah Fei, for the warmest welcome in Lijiang. Highly recommended!

Staying at Honglin Pavilion Inn in Dali was an absolute gem! The facilities and amenities were top-notch, far exceeding my expectations, and truly enhanced my trip. The inn's location is incredibly convenient. Step right out into the ancient city's streets, and a stroll to Erhai Lake is just a few minutes away. Walking into the courtyard was a breathtaking experience; it's designed in a classical Chinese garden style, with rockeries and flowing water complemented by vintage lanterns. The common areas feature incredibly comfortable rattan chairs and tea sets, and they even provide complimentary tea and utensils. In my free time, I'd brew a pot of tea and enjoy the scenery – it was so relaxing I didn't want to leave. All in all, the stay brought immense happiness. Next time I'm in Dali, I'll definitely choose this place again!

The place is perfect for a one night stopover for us - the shower is warm with warm lights, towels and blanket are thick, pillows are big and fluffy - we had a good night’s sleep!! Room was spacious as well with slippers and good amenities. Not to say the service and experience was good - there was someone who came to pick up our luggages by the roadside with a tiny truck (super cute) so we didn’t have to carry 4 luggages up and down the stone paved roads. Walk was really short (2-3 mins) from the main road where our driver dropped us off. Did the same when we were leaving - with the pick-up point at 一棵树客栈. When we asked for food recommendations, the staff passionately gave us a few and even communicate to the shop staff at 疯牛宫 (where we ate) that we were there and they gave us complimentary 酸梅汤 (and this was good!!). When we had small trouble with the sink, the staff came over immediately and resolved it. 10/10 service and experience 🙏🏼 thankful!

Really beautiful traditional style building on the edge of the ancient town and close to a main road for ease of getting taxis. Room was modern, clean and very comfortable. Service was a little odd; no one came to change the room during the whole stay and there was no mention of whether I had to request it especially in the wechat customer service welcome. But this wasn’t a huge issue. A possible issue for other travelers with large luggage might be the lack of an elevator. Otherwise, perfect. Would definitely stay here again.

It’s my first time in Yunnan and as a solo female traveller, this accommodation was perfect! Pick up was arranged for me from the station and there was perfect handover from the driver to Vino at the drop off where he assisted me by carrying my luggage and helping me to check in. My room was beautiful and the entrance of the accommodation allowed me to see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (which was great because I didn’t go hehe but at least I’ve seen it!) and an overview of the Ancient City. The location also makes it so convenient to explore Lijiang Ancient City. At the end of my stay, there was a sweet 小姐姐 who also assisted me with my luggage and sent me off warmly. It was such a pleasant stay :-)

Huge room with bathtub and open glassroof..owner so friendly and helpful..hotel near to halal restaurant and walking distance to ancient town..dont have elevator but hotel staff will bring your bag to the room..have free laundry..have free shuttle pickup and drop off to train station and airport.

I arranged airport pickup with the hotel in advance, and the driver was quickly contacted after I landed. They even had bottled water in the car – very thoughtful! My first impression of the room upon arrival was its cleanliness; the table was spotless, and even the windowsill was dust-free. During my three-night stay, the cleaning was prompt every day, and the towels were replaced daily. The location was very close to the heart of the ancient city; I didn't need to take a taxi to visit the Mu Palace during the day – it was just a 10-15 minute walk. One evening when I returned late, the staff at the entrance even reminded me to watch my step – a very thoughtful touch.

The room was clean and the first floor was facing the street. You could hear the sound of cars and pedestrians, but there were few people and no noise, and it was very close to the pedestrian street. There is a small garden with a beautiful environment. The only downside is that the hair dryer is broken and there is no replacement.

Brought my parents here and had a very satisfying experience. Thumbs up to the lovely owner! **Location:** Very close to the ancient city, less than a 10-minute walk. There are breakfast places, various restaurants, and convenience stores right outside, which is super convenient. **Parking:** We drove, and during the off-season, there were parking spots right in front of the guesthouse. However, the parking can be a bit challenging, requiring good driving skills. Luckily, the owner is an expert at parking and helped us move and park the car, so there was absolutely no need to worry. Very thoughtful. **Environment:** The room was very clean. Since we stayed during the off-season, there weren't many guests, so it was very quiet at night. The courtyard is beautifully designed and very pleasant. The dog is also very cute. **Service:** The lovely owner provides excellent service. She's always on the first floor and easy to find. She even offered us apples! Will definitely stay here again next time! 👍👍👍
