During the summer vacation, I stayed at the Golden Lion International Hotel. The hotel is very conveniently located and parking is very convenient. The surrounding environment is also good, and the Lion City Park is opposite. When checking in, Wang Lingling at the front desk also upgraded the room for free. The room is very clean and spacious. The hotel is falling apart, we used to love this hotel back in 2013, and in 2018 but now in 2024 it is not to the standards as it used to be. The toilet was broken, the airco had to be fixed. And the wifi wasn't working properly. Also we had problems with our door. And it was such a shame that people were smoking in the hotel, it was to be smelled everywhere, it was a pity, really! On the other hand, and to be positive, the staff was super friendly, the breakfast had a lot of food (buffet). And your not far from Cangzhou station, your also near a mall with great nightlife and dances, the hotel architecture looks FANTASTIC on the exterior and personally also the interior (only the lobby). It looks like a palace. They also have ammenties such as stores, restaurants, gym, etc... If I were to improve upon this hotel, I would suggest to maintain the hotel rooms, hallways, and to have the hotel more alive, as I saw several shops closed as in not operating anymore. Everything summed up, should you stay in this hotel? Well it depends, if you are willing to put up with all this negativity, then go ahead! But if you NEED your device for working abroad, then try to find another hotel, such as holiday inn in the same city. It all sounds super exciting but it also comes with negativity. Hope this helps!

Second stay at this really fantastic location. It’s such an enjoyable weekend away. The staff are mostly very friendly and welcoming, but I seemed to have the bad luck of being greeted by Ms Attitude who rolled her eyes at me when I asked if she could use English. Otherwise everyone was lovely and it’s a great hotel. The Aranya village is a Great place to visit

Stayed for two nights. The hotel is clean and the service is thoughtful. A fruit plate is given every day when you check in, and the breakfast tastes good. Luggage can be stored, and the concierge (a guy with glasses) also delivered the luggage to the door of the room. The location is also excellent, and the Future Plaza is right outside the door, which is very convenient for shopping and eating. I will choose to stay here next time I go on a business trip. It was my husband birthday and booked Shangri-la, It was very clean and have a stunning view. The room has a nice smell. The reception was very cheerful, and they all could speak English. I requested a birthday theme for my husband's birthday and they designed the room with some towel, also send a free cake and red wine. ( I have to mention, Thank you dears) The breakfast was very delicious. We also tried the Buffet dinner one night, it was very delicious with both choices Chinese and Western. The swimming pool was clean.

The staff was very kind but they didn't know English. You should use the translator app. The hotel location is great. Unfortunately the parking area is too noisy (early morning and evening. ) The room isn't perfectly clean

The location of this hotel is excellent if you are wanting to do an early morning sunrise at Jingshanlin Great wall. This hotel is just right at the foot of the great wall entrance! From the time when we check in to check out, to the staff at the restaurant, they all provided excellent service, with a good smile, friendliness and willingly to help if you have any questions. They are very accommodating for our needs as well since we have a few of us that's vegetarian. The breakfast provided in the morning is excellent and very very fueling. Healthy too. If you want more of something that you like, they will bring it out again. We ate at the restaurant at night too, and the food was good. The room has all the amenities you need. Too bad the spa was not open when we're there (due to maintenance). Overall, excellent place to stay, right at the foot of the great wall. Jingshanlin Great wall is beautiful and one of the beautiful section of the great wall. Definitely worth a visit.

The hotel was ok for the price. It was just a few minutes away from the airport by taxi. There is a shuttle bus but when we tried to call from the airport to get picked up, nobody answered the hotel phone. When we arrived, I booked a king size bedroom but I was with my colleague so the receptionist kindly change the room for a twin bedroom. Next day we took the free shuttle service to the airport. The driver was a little rude. Other than that, the hotel was fine.

Right beside the airport. Do not recommend the food there but there is not much place to go eat around.

Excellent hotel, I would highly recommend anybody visiting Shanhaiguan to stay here. The building is beautiful and includes a mini museum exhibition of calligraphy and lovely gardens. The room was clean, comfortable and provided 6 bottles of complementary water. The staff were friendly and helpful, even letting me check out at 2pm since I had a 3pm train to Dalian. Location wise the hotel is situated right next to the first gate under Heaven tourist area. You can get a good view of the gate even from the hotel courtyard, also walkable to restaurants and the drum tower just a couple hundred meters away. Lastly it’s just a short taxi ride from the rail station (1.6km/5min/8rmb) and laolongtou Great Wall section (7km/15min/15rmb).

This hotel is very close to a beautiful beach which is a plus, however this hotel seems to be just for chineses guest, the staff didn't speak English and though they tried to do their best this was dissapointing about a Hilton hotel, is the first time when something so basic such as asking for the menu in the restaurant or basic questions such as the ckeck in or check out time, if they could provide me more complementary water, etc, could not do it because I could not communicate with them properly.

I spent three days/nights there and found it all to be satisfactory. The only bit of strangeness was having to leave the building and walk across the parking lot to have breakfast (included)
