I've always wanted to stay at the Shangri-La Hotel in Hohhot, and this time I finally had the chance. I moved here from another five-star hotel. Comparing the two, the Shangri-La definitely comes out on top; I'm very satisfied with both the room maintenance and cleanliness. The Executive Lounge is truly exceptional. The hotel breakfast is incredibly rich, and you can enjoy unlimited lamb shumai, which I had to rush to get at the previous hotel. The Shangri-La Hohhot is genuinely excellent! It'll be my first choice next time too.

Our room was lovely. They kindly upgraded us for free because we had a child, and the new room was wonderfully large and spacious. The hotel itself, from the rooms to the lobby, was very distinctive and charming. The Western restaurant on the second floor served delicious food, and it was very convenient for dining. The hotel is located right on Zhongsu Jin Street, so you can hit the shops right downstairs. It's just too convenient! Definitely a 5-star rating!

This hotel offers great value for money, perfect for those on a budget. Its location is quite convenient for getting around, and there are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The room was generally clean and tidy; the sheets and duvet covers were changed for each new guest, with no strange smells. The bathroom was also well-cleaned, with no noticeable stains, and all toiletries were provided, along with stable hot water.
While the facilities aren't new and the ambiance is just average, it's perfectly adequate for a short stay. Soundproofing isn't the best, but it was generally quiet enough not to disturb my sleep. Check-in at the front desk was fast, and the service attitude was good. Overall, for this price point, the cleanliness and basic conditions are up to standard, with no major complaints. It's suitable for a quick stopover, a business trip, or a one-night stay – clean and safe, which is very reassuring.

My stay at Shangri-La Baotou far exceeded my expectations! Even before checking in, I received a call from the hotel arranging the room according to my preferences. Upon arrival, the concierge proactively helped with luggage, and the front desk staff were warm and meticulous, introducing the hotel's restaurants and fitness center. The room was clean and hygienic! I've had their shaomai before and it was good, but this time I was particularly impressed by the new mutton buns at breakfast – absolutely amazing! My family really enjoyed the freshly fried dough sticks. Overall, the entire check-in process was excellent, and the hotel's location is superb! It's only about a 15-minute drive from the highway exit! Finally, a special shout-out to Avila Wang.

The breakfast was incredibly generous and delicious. The hotel's location is super convenient, making it easy to get around and go shopping. The room was clean and tidy, with soft, comfortable bedding. The natural light and ventilation were excellent. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and all the toiletries were provided. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and check-in/check-out was efficient. The cleaning staff were also very considerate. Overall, it offers fantastic value for money, the environment is quiet, and my stay was excellent. I'll definitely choose this place again next time!

Traveling to Inner Mongolia for the May Day holiday, I stayed in Hohhot for the first two nights. The hotel staff were very friendly, and the room was quiet and clean. Since I rented a car, I could park it in the multi-story parking lot right outside the entrance. I chose a lake view room, and the scenery outside the window was quite nice. I especially loved the fragrance in the hotel lobby. The only downside was that there were too few laundry rooms; I had to queue all evening just to wash one item, ugh.

Rave reviews for Wanda Vista Hohhot! The hotel's overall ambiance is elegant and high-end, with a spacious and airy layout, and exquisite, tasteful decor. The public areas are clean, tidy, quiet, and peaceful. The service is exemplary; the staff are enthusiastic, professional, attentive, and thoughtful, always providing service with a smile. Check-in and check-out are efficient and convenient, and all requests are promptly addressed. The guest rooms are spacious and comfortable, spotlessly clean and clutter-free, with soft and cozy bedding, and sparkling clean and dry bathrooms, all equipped with high-quality amenities. It's conveniently located and a joy to stay in. With top-notch environment and service, the overall experience is absolutely superb. I will definitely be staying here again and again!
The location is excellent, the transportation is convenient, the breakfast is rich, the taste is delicious, the price is high, the service and facilities exceed expectations; the overall stay experience is pleasant, and it is highly recommended to give friends.
The location is great, there is a bus stop at the door, and the transportation is very convenient. I give it a five-star rating for this. The breakfast variety is so rich, very 🉑The most loyal returning customer, not only me, but the whole family is very satisfied, it is worth recommending! I stayed for four nights and experienced both the Family Room with twin beds and a view, and the Tent-themed Family Room. While both had the same square footage, the Family Room felt a bit cramped in its layout. The twin room was the most comfortable, with a great view of the bridge and the Yimin River, absolutely stunning after the snow. The Tent-themed Family Room had a slide, which kept the kids entertained in the room.
The service was outstanding, truly exceptional. One thing I particularly want to commend is the hotel's TV setup. You can directly log into iQIYI and Aurora Cloud TV, unlike some hotels where you only get Aurora TV for a fee, and even screen mirroring costs money, or there's nothing good to watch. They even provided extra small chairs for the beds, which was a nice touch. Originally, for two nights of our trip, we had planned to try a different hotel and booked at Hanting, but we ended up canceling that and staying at Arivon Manor again.

GGuest UserThe hotel is about 4 kilometers away from the highway. The hotel is very convenient for parking and dining. There is a gas station more than 100 meters away from the hotel, so it is a good choice to take a break as a self-driving tour. In addition, hotel services and facilities are also good.
GGuest UserThis is a relatively large hotel, the facilities are complete, the service staff is also very dedicated, especially the parking lot is very spacious, the hotel's food is very good, unlike other northern hotels, the food is very good, and the price is not expensive, the amount is still very large, this hotel is very cost-effective
LLindsssAs an american traveling through Inner Mongolia with my chinese partner and her mom, this was my first time staying in a traditional yurt and honestly it ended up being one of the most memorable parts of our trip and my first ever trip to China!
The power went out on our first night because of an annual power inspection and it lasted longer than expected. After a long day of traveling i was definitely disappointed because i had been looking forward to taking a shower and relaxing for the night. Even though the outage was completely outside the hosts' control, they did everything they could to make us comfortable! They brought us lights, checked on us several times and kept us updated on the situation via WeChat. By the end of the trip, what stood out to me wasnt the outage itself, but how hard everyone there worked to take care of us.
They went above and beyond to make up for the power outage inconvenience. They treated us to horseback riding, paid for lunch and paid for afternoon tea which we greatly appreciated. By the next day i wasnt even thinking about the outage anymore because we were having such a great time. Their kindness turned what could have been a frustrating start into a really great experience. It's easy to provide good service when everything goes according to plan but it's much harder when something goes wrong and in this situation, the hosts exceeded our expectations.
Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming and attentive. Whenever we were eating, they were always nearby in case we needed anything and they consistently made us feel taken care of throughout our stay.
One of my favorite memories was feeding the young sheep! It seems like a simple activity but as someone who has never had any opportunity to experience life on the grasslands, it was an experience I'll always cherish. I loved being able to experience the beautiful scenery and slower pace of life out here.
There is also a scenic spot just a couple miles down the road with a hill you can walk up for free if you are staying at the yurts as a guest. The view from the top is absolutely incredible with endless grasslands in every direction. While staying here and driving through the area, we saw hundreds if not thousands of horses, cows and sheep across the landscape which made the whole experience feel even more special!!
Also, the fried beef meal was so good I had to order it twice. And the snacks with the afternoon tea were also yummy. They provide all the toiletries you need as well as several bottles of water daily. There is both air condition and heat which helped during this time of year as the room would get very hot during the day and cold at night. The way the yurts light up at night is beautiful. Thank you so much for your hospitality and for sharing this beautiful part of Inner Mongolia with us. I'm definitely not one to leave reviews but this stay was worth taking the time to write one. We left with great memories and i would gladly stay here again! highly recommended!
TTianhenlan@The hotel offers a quiet oasis amidst the bustling city, with convenient transportation and a variety of restaurants right outside. The hotel's dining hall is also quite good; the roasted lamb chops and West Lake beef soup are worth trying. The breakfast is plentiful, and the homemade yogurt is a must-try.

TTOHCWe had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The cozy tea house decor make us feel like in a charming retreat rather than just a place to stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us felt right at home. Kudos to housekeeping for the sweet note and extra bottle of water - love the reminder to stay hydrated! Highly recommended!

GGuest UserWe went there to stargaze but that didn't work out cuz the sky was cloudy, and filled with smoke from all the fireworks we and everyone else were launching. I thought I would be disappointed not being able to see the stars and milky way on a new moon but my kids and I had a blast launching celebration balls and other colorful fireworks, and dancing with the locals around a bonfire. Super festive place! And, there's horse-riding nearby.
If you do come here for stargazing, the hotels in this area make it too bright for stargazing unless you have a car to drive further to deserted and unlit places.

XXingyuefengshaOur stay was fantastic! The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located near Wanda Plaza and the museum. The room was clean, tidy, and well-equipped, and the soundproofing was excellent, so we had a great night's sleep. The breakfast spread was ample, and overall, it offered great value for money. It even started snowing, and the front desk thoughtfully brought us warm mineral water, which was a very nice touch.
