Both the bathtub and the window view were absolutely superb, and I loved the small balcony in the room—it was great to get some fresh air without leaving. The Penhaligon's toiletries and the intangible cultural heritage exhibition in the lobby were also nice bonuses."

"This time, I was traveling with my parents and my child. Since my little one wasn't feeling well, I really needed a great hotel, and this one truly didn't disappoint. The room had two queen beds plus a sofa bed, perfect for our family of five. We couldn't get enough of the beautiful night view outside the window. Everyone in the family praised my choice. My dad stood there, cup of tea in hand, for quite a while, saying, 'Looking at these lights just brightens my mood.' My child was glued to the window, gazing into the distance, and asked if it was a lighthouse. The hotel is only three or four minutes from the bus station, which was great since my parents walk a bit slower – no worries about rushing for our bus. In the mornings, I'd take my child for a stroll in the small park downstairs, and then we'd come back just in time for breakfast. They had hot congee and mini steamed buns, which my parents loved, and my child enjoyed the special kids' area with small cakes and yogurt. When it was time to check out, the front desk staff saw we had a lot of luggage and proactively helped us carry it. Of all the places we've stayed on this trip, this hotel was truly a hit with the whole family."

"I traveled to Shenyang during the Dragon Boat Festival, and choosing the right hotel was crucial. This time, my main concern was finding a place that wouldn't bother my elderly parents, who are sensitive to room odors. So, besides the usual requirements like a convenient location (for driving), a pool, and being a reputable chain hotel, I specifically looked for a hotel that had been open between 5 and 10 years. This Hilton fit the bill. It opened in 2018, so while it's been around for a few years, the facilities are still very well-maintained. There was a slight scent in the room, but it definitely wasn't a renovation smell, so it wasn't an issue. The location on Youth Avenue is super convenient for getting around. They have an underground parking garage; even though it looks a bit grimy, the spots are very spacious, which is great for new drivers. Breakfast at the hotel was quite extensive with lots of choices. I particularly recommend their 'lu mian' (braised noodles) – the meat sauce was really well-made. The swimming pool's shallowest point is only 0.9 meters, which is fantastic for kids. The water is also temperature-controlled, which is another plus. During the holiday, the hotel price was around 800+ RMB (including breakfast for two), which I thought was pretty good value for money. I had to change my plans due to a heavy downpour and checked out a day early; they didn't charge any cancellation fees, which was a nice gesture. She was incredibly patient, explaining the 'Mountain Road and Pine Sound' art masterpiece in the lobby lounge's east wing. It's a stunning piece by a New Zealand artist team who recreated a Ming Dynasty painting by Tang Bohu using crystal pillars – a fantastic blend of East and West, exuding such style. It was a truly immersive and delightful experience of Chinese landscape aesthetics. Later that night, I even received a thoughtful delivery of warm chicken soup. My fatigue instantly melted away. As someone who appreciates attention to detail, I absolutely loved it. The service and ambiance were both top-notch. This is definitely my go-to hotel whenever I'm in Shenyang!"

"I brought my son to Dandong to see the Yalu River Bridge, where his grandfather once walked, and we also visited the memorial museum. I chose this hotel, and its location is absolutely superb. You really *must* book a panoramic room! It's an older hotel, so the facilities are definitely outdated, but the service is excellent. I'd highly recommend the hotel invests in a renovation; it would be a huge hit!"

"I was a bit apprehensive before entering the room, mainly because of the negative reviews I'd seen before booking, which made me quite hesitant. Plus, it was the last day in Davos, and with people checking out continuously, I wondered if the hotel could clean the room in time – a real test of their service. However, the moment I opened the door, I was pleased. It was much better than I expected, and the night view from the window was quite nice. After looking around, it met my expectations for a family room. Most importantly, the kids liked it, with a carpet flight chess game, three TVs, and two bathrooms – essential for families traveling with children. While the room facilities had an older style overall, I didn't find them as bad as the negative reviews suggested. Of course, after putting down our luggage, I did notice some flaws, like fruit pits and bookbinding fragments that hadn't been cleaned up promptly. More issues cropped up during our stay. Although the lobby manager repeatedly apologized for the shortcomings before we checked out and even gave us a small gift, hoping we wouldn't write a review, my child expressed a wish to stay here again on our way home. That's why I'm writing all this. I hope the hotel can demonstrate the professionalism expected of a Shangri-La and make further improvements. After all, the problems we encountered shouldn't be excused by regional differences between north and south. Service has no regional boundaries; it's all about the experience. On a positive note, the hotel's QR code room service is commendable, and the cleaning staff's attitude was excellent. The pool is great for kids to play in and adults to relax; just remember to wear slippers as the room slippers aren't waterproof. The hotel's location is also good. Strolling towards Zhongshan at night with the sea breeze is a pleasant experience. It's about a 20-minute taxi ride to city attractions like Venice Water City and Central Plaza. Perhaps it was luck, but I even got a BMW, Denza, and Tesla as taxis – quite fortunate given the fast-paced Dalian ride-hailing drivers. So, overall, my few days here were good, which is why I gave the environment a high rating."
