"The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Ningxia Museum. The rooms are spacious with a smart layout, and the bathroom is particularly large. This time, I booked an Executive King Room, and the food at the Executive Lounge's Happy Hour was exquisite and delicious. From the high floor, the panoramic view of Yinchuan city was incredible. The hotel breakfast is plentiful, with many Ningxia local specialties, and the service is very attentive. The Baicao Lamb Hotpot on the third floor of the hotel is absolutely delicious and a must-try. All in all, the JW Marriott Hotel Yinchuan comes highly recommended!"

"This was my first time in Yinchuan, and I can honestly say I chose the Sheraton Yinchuan without hesitation. It's an established five-star hotel, and the service, from the front desk to the rooms and even the lobby bar I visited, was excellent. Every staff member greeted me with a smile and provided attentive service. It was a fantastic experience. I also really appreciated the sour plum juice at the front desk – a glass of it instantly quenched my thirst upon entering the hotel on a hot summer day! "I stayed at the Kempinski Yinchuan for two consecutive nights, and overall, it was a very solid experience – the kind of comfortable stay where nothing goes wrong, and you even get a few pleasant surprises.
The location is genuinely convenient. Just cross the road to your right, and you're at the Ningxia Museum. It was perfect for a stroll and then coming back to relax.
The room was clean and spacious, and the bedding was just right – not too soft, not too firm. I slept soundly both nights. Service was prompt too; whether I needed water or something delivered, there was no delay.
The breakfast bread station really impressed me. Both the croissants and the whole wheat toast were perfectly baked – crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Paired with a black coffee, it was simply delightful.
It's not over-the-top, and there's nothing to complain about. It's the kind of reliable choice where you think, 'I'd definitely stay here again next time I visit.'"

"I came to Yinchuan for a business trip alone, but I didn’t expect the hotel to be so cost-effective.
The price is about 200 yuan, the room is about 30 square meters, there is a separate desk, separate bathroom, smart toilet.
The location of the hotel is also good, but there is no entertainment nearby at night. After 11 o'clock, all the stores in this neighborhood are basically closed. You can take a taxi to other places.

The bathroom and toilet facilities were complete, and the entire scenic area had electricity and internet (with fast speeds). The restaurant had a wide variety of dishes, and the entertainment options were healthy, environmentally friendly, fun, and meaningful for the whole family.
I especially commend Xiaochao, the butler. He was very attentive, kind, and welcoming. I'll definitely stay with him again if I visit Tengri again."

"Who understands, my family members! Stayed in a super cool starry sky tent in the Zhongwei Desert in Ningxia! Ride a camel to see the endless sand dunes during the day, and lie on the terrace to count the stars at night! The chef is amazing, every dish is delicious, the sizzling meat skewers grilled by the guy, the crispy butter wrapped with cumin burst on the tip of your tongue! The Border Collie named ”Diandian” has been squatting like a stone statue, with the sand swept up by its tail rising and falling with the smell of meat, just waiting for you to feed it! The surfing car during the day and the bonfire party at night are all worth it. Now looking at the group photo on my phone, with its furry head still rubbing against my knees, I really want to pack my luggage right away and rush to Beidou Xingye!"

"Taking advantage of the location, the sand is really fine. The room is quite big, but it has just been renovated. When I first entered, there was still a smell. I couldn't smell it after a long time. The hotel is in the desert, sandboarding is really cool, I think it is more fun than sandboarding at Shapotou, which is the biggest advantage. The service is chaotic and I can feel that the management team here is not very professional. The restaurant has a Chinese restaurant and a buffet. It has emphasized that it is not spicy to bring children many times. As a result, a bunch of peppers, and the delivery waiter said something embarrassing and it was over. The housekeeper added me to WeChat after I checked in, and then warmly reminded me to check out before 12 o'clock two hours after I checked out. Send me a message with a meal delivery service, and when I need it, I said that this service is not available now. I will definitely not go to this next time. Also, don't go to the pool, really."

The room was very clean, newish super clear, bright lights bathroom, with very nice shower. The beds are a bit hard but nothing major, very quite, small but manageable parking space, despite my car being a big. It was one night experience, short but pleasant with lots of food option but the front doors of the hotel. Which very convenient. Definitely recommend unfortunately, I forgot to take some pictures. ThumbsUp 👍

GGuest UserI stayed in an air-conditioned cabin without a private bathroom this time. It was cleaner than I expected. I'd recommend bringing a pair of flip-flops for the shared showers. Other amenities like toothbrushes and towels were disposable, which was great. Getting a taxi was difficult, but the host was incredibly thoughtful and came to pick us up. There was a bonfire party in the evening, and they set off fireworks like there was no tomorrow! Watching the stars and fireworks in the desert was absolutely beautiful!

GGuest UserI absolutely loved this place! I’m writing this as a foreigner who went with 4 other foreigners for a special birthday weekend. First, the service. We have good Chinese proficiency, but those with limited to none will be fine. Most of the communication and coordination is handled via WeChat - which can auto translate. 东 “Dong” was our main contact. He rocked and gave us a real experience. He shuttled us in the sand jeep, gifted me a cake for my birthday, and was just an overall cool guy. Thanks! Second, the location and accommodations. If you stay near Desert Star, there’s a lot of people and campsites - that area seems like a bit of a tourist funnel. This area is located in the REAL sand dunes area. Further North, you actually cross into Inner Mongolia. The separation and distance is worth it. Makes for brighter stars and a more authentic experience. Third, the food. They were able to coordinate a whole lamb to be roasted for my birthday. It was absolutely extraordinary. The sides for it were some of the best I had on the entire trip - they have some skilled chefs there. This place has great reviews, and it’s worth it. I do recommend this to foreigners, and I hope I can return one day.

GGuest UserLovely hotel near Wanda Jinfeng mall, surrounded by many pharmacies. The fruit shop downstairs called 小任果 is one of the best fruit chains in Yinchuan with a huge offering of fruits and yoghurt and nuts. We bought these to bring along for our day trips out of Yinchuan. Its nice to stay at Jingfeng district as its quieter than drum tower area.
The lobby has snacks, fruit and drinks all day for guests. Coffee was super !
We used the complimentary washer dryer which is a fabulous amenity.
We appreciated the free pickup at the airport which we arranged 1 day prior by telephone booking from Shanghai. The reception and the breakfast counter staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The toiletries were all upmarket
If there is any con - its the plump cleaning lady at the 3rd floor. She appeared unhappy when we asked her to top up the bath wash when it was low and she forgot to top up. She just handed us a bottle to install ourselves. She also didnt wipe the control panel for the room unlike her colleague who does it when she is on duty so we can see our finger prints still on the glass after housekeeping.
Small issue though. Cos everything else about the hotel was great

GGuest UserStaying at this hotel for the Dragon Boat Festival holiday was such a pleasant surprise! The butler contacted us in advance, sent over a detailed guide, and the hotel's location was clearly communicated. Upon arrival, the front desk staff gave us wormwood sachets, which really added to the festive atmosphere, and they even had homemade 'ice jelly'. At breakfast, there were staff dressed in Hanfu offering local Dragon Boat Festival delicacies like fried dough cakes and date cakes, which were absolutely delicious. The room was very comfortable, the bedding was great, and there was plenty of space. We had four complimentary bottles of mineral water, and we could get more for free if needed. The hotel has both above-ground and underground parking with ample spaces. The exterior environment is also lovely with excellent greenery. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay at this hotel.

Taking advantage of the off-peak season, I came alone to experience the Yellow River Homestay. Each homestay has a different decoration style. I chose Xipo on the recommendation of my friend and was very satisfied. The facilities and services corresponding to this price are really worth it. The price of two nights in the off-season is equivalent to the price of a normal night. The hair dryer is Dyson, and the toiletries are all from the laboratory. There are also beer + drinks in the mini bar, freshly ground coffee, and freshly made bread (forgot to take a picture). The sea salt rolls are super delicious, and the scones are also good, not sweet at all, which suits my taste.
The whole homestay is very quiet, close to the Yellow River, and there are trails. If there are many people at night, you can drink, eat barbecue and watch the stars by the Yellow River.
The service of private butler Xiaoying is really excellent. She will contact the guests about three days before you check in and help arrange some matters, such as car pick-up, introduction of food, drink and entertainment nearby, food, drink and entertainment in Zhongwei, and travel photography needs. She will also recommend it. After check-in, she will also take meticulous care of the guests. She deserves 100 points. Such a niche place is highly recommended for family and couple travel. If you go to Zhongwei, you must stay at Huanghe Suji to experience the local traditional customs.
