"The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Potala Palace. It's also just a few hundred meters, a walkable distance, from Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street. The biggest highlight is the view; breakfast is served on the fifth-floor restaurant, offering an expansive and perfect view of the Potala Palace from afar. The night view, in particular, is stunning. Our room was a 180-degree unobstructed view room. While a bit more expensive, the unparalleled scenery makes it the best choice for viewing the Potala Palace from a distance. The breakfast was plentiful with a good variety, including local specialties like tsampa, and delicious butter tea and sweet tea. The room facilities were quite comprehensive, including a dedicated nasal oxygen concentrator. The room also provided complimentary Coca-Cola and glacial bottled water, with refills available, and a fresh fruit platter daily. We even received a small souvenir upon check-in. Overall, I'm very satisfied."

Service: All staff members are polite, enthusiastic, and responsive. Special thanks to Alan at the front desk for an efficient and smooth check-in process. He was patient and kind in communication, proactively informed us of important check-in details, and patiently answered all our questions. His thoughtful and attentive service added a lot to our trip. The only issue was a flickering light in the shower room, which needs to be addressed."

"On my一路318 self-drive trip, I stayed at all Songtsam's Tibet properties, and the scenery at Basongcuo is indeed stunning. You can see snow-capped mountains from the room, and the hotel's hardware configuration is top-notch within the Linka series. The butler service was also excellent. However, the staff at the scenic area entrance were truly awful. At Nanga Bawa Mountain Retreat and Lhagu, you just need to register to enter the scenic area. But at Basongcuo, even as a guest, you still need a ticket. That's fine, but first, they made us park aside to buy tickets and register. Then, as soon as we finished, a car with local plates immediately blocked the entrance, preventing us from entering. When we tried to communicate and ask what was going on, the security staff actually started yelling at us. For a national five-star scenic area, this is completely unacceptable. I suggest the hotel follow the example of the other two Songtsam properties and incorporate the ticket fee into the room rate for direct entry, to avoid such situations, or have a hotel staff member at the scenic area entrance to welcome and guide guests."

👍 First, the service was incredibly thoughtful. We were greeted with a welcome dance upon arrival, and every evening we received a complimentary 'goodnight' drink and fruit. The room was always impeccably cleaned, and they even helped fold clothes and wash socks (which I was so grateful for!).
💐 The hotel's decor and aesthetics are wonderful; both the lobby and rooms are spacious and beautiful. Our room had a view of the snow-capped mountains, and there were free ******* incense making classes and afternoon tea experiences available.

"I checked into the Dekang Hotel on the 24th, and it's a typical Tibetan-style hotel. As soon as I walked into the lobby, I was impressed by the exquisite decor and furnishings. The room was spacious, bright, well-equipped, and very clean. The owner was very kind and thoughtful. The front desk and staff were all very welcoming, making me feel right at home, so I extended my stay by two more days.
The hotel's price is excellent compared to others in the area! The breakfast was rich and varied, with dishes, meat, eggs, and fruit, plus butter tea, tsampa, and yogurt – the milk was especially delicious! There's also an Indian restaurant on the fifth floor of the hotel, and plenty of other dining options nearby. You can find the famous Lhasa internet-famous Cuomu Liangfen (cold noodles), Lao Chengdu's Sichuan restaurant, and some great ******* restaurants. So many delicious choices, I couldn't try them all!
Getting around from the hotel is super convenient. It's a short walk to Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street, and just a few stops by bus to the East Gate of Potala Palace Square, costing only 1 yuan.
This truly lives up to its reputation as a hidden gem for tourists visiting Lhasa."

The service attitude was excellent; we were offered a Hada (a traditional ceremonial scarf) and hot milk tea upon arrival. The room decor has a lovely ethnic style. What I particularly loved was the bathroom – it's spacious, very bright, features a wet/dry separation, and even has a magnifying mirror! I'm very satisfied 🥰 There's a restaurant upstairs with fantastic views, perfect for enjoying a meal while admiring the distant mountains. My only regret is not having enough time to try the Nepalese cuisine. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time."

"Full of flaws, perhaps their prime location justifies the high price. The room wasn't clean; towels used by previous guests were hanging behind the door, and the shower glass was covered in water stains. The oxygen concentrator was dusty, and the sheets were stained.
Despite the many flaws, there were two good points: first, the mattress was very comfortable—the most comfortable I'd had on the entire trip, and I fell asleep quickly; second, the rice noodles for breakfast were delicious."

Hotel room was big and clean. Modern design with technology. All the amenities were well equipped. Comfortable bed to rest after your long journey and to get prepared for next day flight.

Guest UserParking is convenient, there's a large courtyard, and the third-floor observation deck offers views of Mount Kailash. The owner is very nice and even upgraded our room. The room has a separate shower and toilet, is fully equipped, and includes a humidifier, heating, and oxygen supply. The oxygen concentrator, in particular, is incredibly powerful and quiet; it was the best night's sleep I had on my entire trip to Tibet. Overall, it's a very good hotel in every aspect.

The surrounding environment is quiet and comfortable, and it is particularly healing from the hustle and bustle. The landlord is kind and easy-going, and the answer is very intimate. The living experience is full. It is really worth everyone to stay!

This hotel has a strong ******* style, and the owner was really great, taking good care of us visitors from inland China. They helped us with our luggage and arranged for us to stay on the third floor, which definitely made the altitude sickness worse when climbing the stairs! We visited in August, and the blankets were super thick, so I didn't get a good night's sleep either night. Also, I personally think this type of Tibetan-style hotel is nice for a two-day experience, but not suitable for a long-term stay!

All the staff were warm and welcoming, the room was clean and tidy, and the night view was fantastic. Guys, you can book this place with your eyes closed – I'd definitely come back if I have the chance!

Guest UserI really loved the hotel's courtyard; its architecture has a very exotic feel. Sitting in the courtyard in the afternoon, leisurely sipping a pot of sweet tea, was incredibly relaxing. It's a rare oasis of peace and quiet amidst the bustling streets, perfect for unwinding. The rooftop cafe offers views of the Potala Palace, and guests can go up for free to visit and take photos.
The hotel is conveniently located near the entrance of Barkhor Street. It's just a few minutes' walk to Liukai Fruit Store after a taxi ride. It was very convenient to explore Barkhor Street on foot every day. The ******* noodles for breakfast were delicious, and there was plenty of fruit. Afternoon tea also included a complimentary pot of sweet tea.
The room came with a nasal oxygen concentrator, which was a thoughtful touch. My only minor complaint, personally, was that the room felt a bit small and the soundproofing wasn't great. Because of this, I didn't spend much time in the room other than sleeping, preferring to relax in the courtyard.
Finally, a big thank you to Ms. Zhaxi Lam for her thoughtful and heartwarming service.

GzfanfanOverall, this hotel is quite good. Its location is very close to the Potala Palace, just a short walk away. It's also not far from Barkhor Street. Parking can be a bit challenging, requiring good driving skills. However, the security guard who directs parking is very nice. The service staff are quite enthusiastic. The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices and was the best hotel breakfast I had during my time in Tibet. I didn't experience the afternoon tea because we arrived at 7 PM. Free oxygen is available, and they even ask for your arrival time in advance and turn on the oxygen machine an hour or two before you get there. The rooms are equipped with a small tea table, which is convenient for tea drinking. In the hallway, there are various tea sets in a disinfected cabinet for guests to use. We also received some complimentary snacks in the room, which were quite good. I didn't get to experience the sleep aid package. All in all, if you're not driving in Lhasa and want to stay downtown, this hotel is a good choice.
