Really loved our stay at this hotel. I’m not sure how it is a 2-star hotel - the room, cleanliness and amenities looked like a 4+ star hotel. It includes everything we needed fo our stay. Only thing missing was the gym, and the pool could be better as it looks like just a water stream under the walking bridge. Overall we really liked our stay.
Enjoyable stay with standout staff… just a few areas to improve
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Crowne Plaza. The resort atmosphere was fun and relaxing, and the team truly made us feel welcome.
A few things could be improved: room service options were limited, so if you wanted something better you had to leave your room and go to the restaurants rather than having it delivered. Also, housekeeping wasn’t as thorough as it should be. There was hair in the bathroom, and the grout plus corners/crevices needed more attention. We also dealt with a constant flickering light in our room.
That said, the staff were kind, friendly, and responsive, and they didn’t hesitate to fix issues once we brought them to their attention, which I really appreciated. Special shoutout to Temo at La Bottega Italian Restaurant, Esa and Kelly who made our nights at the Urban Sugar Beach Club an absolute blast, and Esava and Jo from concierge made sure we were well taken care of! The resort also had amazing activities planned during the Christmas holiday for all ages!
Despite the few issues, I’d still recommend staying here, especially for the great service and lively resort vibe.
Each room is clean
There is also a private pool
However, the chef of the private restaurant is terrible. (He is a young Indian, and his skills are not very good.)
The owner is unfriendly, but the staff is friendly.
If possible, use the 2nd floor room. (It is cleaner,,)
Taxi fare from the airport to the hotel is 10 Fijian dollars
If you take a taxi, it is 30 Fijian dollars per hour (The beach resort <Yatule> resort & spa, which takes 1.5 hours by taxi, is so-so~~.
(However, as of April 2025, the access road is under construction) - Vehicles are allowed to pass)
We chose to stay here for one night as a transit, which helped given our flight was delayed and we were travelling with a toddler. We waited for 30 mins for the free shuttle as we didn’t know we were waiting in the wrong area. They didn’t have a driver waiting with a sign and they didn’t communicate with help desk (we contacted help desk to call the hotel to let them know we arrived) about clear instructions where to meet. Waiting with a toddler wasn’t fun, so would appreciate if you had a driver waiting or check on flight status, despite delay - as I provided them the details or wrote in the email to wait straight ahead, not where the taxis were waiting.
Hotel was a few minutes drive from airport. Room was spacious, shower was ok, bed was ok (sheets need bleach as there were old - not fresh dirty marks on it), they didn’t provide free water or filtered water, so we had to buy water. Breakfast was a fair spread. The playground looked great for kids/ toddler but it was raining so we couldn’t use it. Simple things (free water, better communication with shuttle, cleaner sheets) could have improved the experience and that’s why I’m providing this rating,
I've never encountered a chain hotel that adds a 3% surcharge for credit card payments, effectively encouraging guests to pay in cash. The food was generally disappointing, with the exception of the IVI restaurant, where everything was good. At the hotel entrance, there's a desk manned by people who seem to be making a profit off your taxi rides. For example, I paid $120 for a regular taxi from the airport, but they arrange taxis to the airport for $165. The bed linen wasn't properly laundered. The massage at the spa was awful.
Very convenient location to the airport and delicious food in the restaurant. A bus stop near the hotel also helps a lot to explore the surroundings by yourself. The staff are friendly. You need to get used to using WiFi in the lobby though if you don't want to pay for it in your room.
Recommend for 1 or 2 days ”transit” stay
All the staff provided excellent service.
I stayed in a dormitory, and on that day I was very tired from activities and couldn’t climb up to the top bunk. I asked the staff for help, and fortunately a bottom bunk was available, so they kindly let me switch. Thanks to that, I had a comfortable night.
Even though my flight was delayed, the airport shuttle service still waited for me with a clear sign, which made it easy to find.
They kindly offer luggage storage as well, which was very convenient before check-in and after check-out.
Thank you for the wonderful service!
Where do you start. Greeted us with sincerity and had bn upgraded. The Bures were beautiful, everything you need. But could have used a bigger fridge .Gardens were immaculate. Staff were amazing, kind, genuinely friendly. Went out of their way to know our names. At dinner we were welcomed with their welcome song. We stayed twice. We had already booked our timeshare for our second week and were very sad to leave. All the staff came together to sing Fijis good bye song ‘Isa Lei’ which brought tears to our eyes. Only spent three nights at our timeshare and rang Crusoes to say we were coming back. They welcomed us back with open arms. Snorkeling was great. Activities were pre organized for the next day. We loved every moment and we will def be coming back next year. We made lifelong friends
We had such a wonderful stay at The Pearl South Pacific Resort! My boys had an amazing time – from the pool to the beach and all the little activities, there was never a dull moment. The staff were welcoming and the atmosphere made it so easy to relax and enjoy our holiday.
Everything about our stay was great, except for the internet connection, which could definitely be improved. Other than that, it was a fantastic experience for the whole family, and we’d love to come back again!” 🌴☀️💦
Great beach, clear water , good service, room size is generous. Nice atmosphere. Staff are so friendly and welcoming.
They offer hospitality room for us to use as we need a shower after checking out. Very good service. We feel refreshed after a long day and then get on the plane.

Good
GGuest UserRoom was absolutely nothing special, very sterile, quick to forget you’re in Fiji. The roof top pool - STUNNING. It was windy and a bit chilly when I stayed but the pool water wasn’t too cold, there were some people swimming. Room was clean and bed was actually pretty comfy. The shower was big which was nice. The rest of the hotel feel outdated. The food was decent and breakfast was nice. They had good options for vegetarians.
ZZhangzuxun1. It is relatively close to the airport, about 3 kilometers, and a taxi is about 20 Fijian dollars.
2. The internal environment of the hotel is good, and the guest rooms are equivalent to single-story townhouses.
3. There is a large outdoor swimming pool, but there was no water and it was not open during this check-in.
4. There is no restaurant. Meals need to be eaten at the coffee bar outside. There are no other restaurants nearby.
5. There is no drinking water or shampoo or shower gel in the room.
In short, it feels like it’s just a place to sleep.
MMeglou28The hotel is in a good location, however the WiFi doesn’t reach the room. The curtains didn’t shut all the way so it was hard to maintain privacy. There also isn’t any food available to buy at the hotel. Bed was comfortable and I had a restful nights sleep.
SsereleaThe room was clean and comfortable. I stayed in a villa, so there were a lot of locks, which was confusing. The back door was out of place and couldn't be opened or closed.
The sea is shallow and very good for walking! The staff were also friendly. It was wonderful to have a welcome drink while watching the sunset.
It's a shame that the access is not good, but it's worth staying!
I told them that I couldn't eat breakfast the next day because of a remote island tour I had booked, so they gave me a lunch box. In the morning, when I went to the restaurant to get my lunch box, the chef didn't understand what I said, so he made it for me in a hurry. There was only enough for four people instead of five, but I was grateful that they made it early in the morning because I had asked for something.
GGuest UserGreat place to experience the real fiji people, culture and service.
Very friendly staff and always something going on , with the reef and walks , swimming etc plenty to do.
The food is very good , breakfast is very good and cooked to order, compliments to the Chef.
Dinner was also very enjoyable , portion size is large, and well received.
The Dinning room is well spread with larger groups down the bottom and individuals and families up the top , never felt too crampt or over whelmed.
Rooms were great not 5 star by any means but they don't try to be the rooms were very good nice mattresses good sleeping a shower inside and outside for something different.
The gardens are excellent with garden staff maintaining them constantly its a real bounus they do a wonderful job.
The Staff in general are great always smiling and open for a chat. They all help one another and make it a fun organised resort .
The Room staff who makeup and clean rooms are wonderful throughout the whole place nothing was a chore
The Gym i used everyday needs a bit of a spruce up needs a treadmill and a new workout bench but I made do and still did well.
A lovely lovely place for a holiday!
Don't hesitate to book as after a few days you'll ask why didn't you book for longer like we did.
GGuest UserLoved our stay at the Hilton, service staff super friendly, food and cocktails were delicious and the pools did t disappoint. Nice Long sandy Beach to walk along each day (1.5km), 3 restaurants and some small shops for snacks. Great for families with kids, loads of daily activities and perfect for adults getting a break from the kids. Definitely coming back!!!
GGuest UserThe staff were faultless!!
However there were far too many mosquitoes to enjoy our stay- we had stayed in Nadi prior to this for the same amount of time and had 0 problems, same in one of the islands- no bites… here however we had over 20 between two of us from one night. Perhaps they could have repelling candles on the outdoor seating areas, and fly catchers elsewhere, but something needs to be done in this season!
I found it overpriced for the experience, the food was average and not worth the cost, there was a cockroach and lizard in our room- I would say the roofs need looking at/ re sealing.
The interconnecting rooms are NOT soundproof and you can hear everything from next door. We asked to move and were so with 0 hassle- again the staff were ALL absolutely amazing!!!
GGuest UserThe hotel boasts a great location, a comfortable distance from the city center. The breakfast spread was exceptionally plentiful and catered wonderfully to Chinese palates. Dinner was also extensive, and the ambiance was excellent, with music playing throughout. It's truly ideal for a trip.
