SSharon_hzThis was an extension of my stay for one more day, so I stayed in the same room. The room is a spacious ocean-view apartment located on a hillside, a standard one-bedroom, two-living room layout with a large ocean-view balcony, kitchen and dining area, bedroom, and bathroom (separate wet and dry areas). It's very close to two major supermarkets: Ram's (turn right after exiting the street, 6-7 minutes walk) and Real Value Supermarket (turn left after exiting the street, 13-15 minutes walk).
The room facilities are a bit old. The bathroom is equipped like a short-term rental hotel apartment, with towels and bath towels, but only a small bar of soap; there are no disposable items like shampoo, toothpaste, or toothbrushes, no slippers, and no hairdryer. The kitchen uses gas, has a four-burner stove, an oven, a non-stick frying pan, two stainless steel stew pots, and several plates, bowls, cutlery, bottle opener, etc., enough for two people's meals.
The staff were very nice and had excellent service. The receptionist, named Shemal, was a Black woman and very professional. However, the front desk isn't open 24/7; there's a notice on the door indicating their working hours. The keepers were very responsive to any issues; they would often come to check if there were any problems or if cleaning was needed. Even with minor issues, their response and attitude were excellent, regardless of whether they could ultimately resolve them.
We stayed for four days. The toilet was an older model and flushed slowly; the shower water pressure was also insufficient and the water temperature was low. We had a Black worker come and check it; the shower water temperature was adjustable, which we fixed, but the water pressure was uncontrollable. The toilet was fixed temporarily, but the handle malfunctioned after a few flushes. We asked for a hairdryer, but after searching, they said they didn't have one.
We went to a nearby supermarket to buy groceries and cooked our own meals in the kitchen, enjoying them immensely. Picture one shows the food, and picture four shows an embassy next to the suite, diagonally opposite the hotel.
The air conditioning was very powerful, and the electrical outlets were British style. The TV could directly play YouTube, and we had a pre-registered account.
