The facilities are excellent, and the swimming pool is absolutely top-notch, connecting directly to a private beach. However, the cleanliness was a letdown. It's a shame there were still used diapers and tissues left by previous guests that hadn't been cleared. For a 5-star hotel, such details really ought to be addressed. Service-wise, it was a bit disappointing. The receptionist and operator were difficult to reach, and the receptionist wasn't very talkative. The food selection was abundant, but the taste was just standard. Overall, I was happy to stay at Movenpick. Hopefully, they can improve on these complaints to provide an even more perfect experience for future customers."

"“Good for a Transit Stay, but the AI-Driven Service Needs Work” I booked this hotel mainly because of the reviews mentioning the good food and free pick-up/drop-off shuttle service. Communicating with the hotel before check-in to arrange the shuttle was easy through the hotel’s WhatsApp number, which I found on Trip.com. Upon arrival, I noticed that the hotel seems to cater quite heavily to Chinese visitors. There was a line of Chinese guests checking in, and one of the front desk staff spoke Chinese fluently. Some of the notices around the hotel were also written in Chinese, presumably Mandarin. Check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff was nice and helpful. However, I was informed that I needed to install an app to use various hotel services during my stay, including the digital room key and room service. While this may be convenient for some guests, I personally found it a bit of a hassle at the time. The installation itself took some time, followed by an explanation of how to use the system. The food was average, with a reasonable selection of options. However, the refilling of some items was rather slow. For example, the milk for the coffee machine ran out and was not replenished promptly, and at times there was no cook available. The room itself was nice and spacious. One thing I particularly liked was the layout, with the washing area located near the entrance. The toilet unit also looked new. Unfortunately, the towels looked rather shabby and could use an upgrade. Complimentary bottled water was available upon request, which was a nice touch. One of the biggest downsides for me was the lack of a telephone in the room. All service requests have to be made through the app. I had to communicate with an AI chatbot, but the chatbot would often instruct me to go downstairs and confirm the request with the reception desk anyway. I found this rather confusing and wondered what the point of the AI system was if I still had to speak to a staff member in person. It seems the hotel is trying to adapt to AI and reduce the need for human staff, but the system does not seem to work effectively yet. In my experience, it actually added an extra step rather than making things easier. This was especially noticeable during check-out. There was only one front desk staff member, which was surprising. He was very patient and did his best to serve everyone, but the hotel really could have used more staff at that time. As a result, the line became quite long. Had I been informed during check-in that I could simply use the self-service machine to check out, I could have avoided the queue altogether. The location is in the CBC area, although finding the hotel felt a bit like navigating a labyrinth. It wasn't the easiest place to locate, especially for a first-time visitor. Overall, I would say you get what you pay for. For a one-night transit stay, the hotel was acceptable, especially with the free shuttle service and spacious room. However, the hotel could significantly improve its service by having more human staff available and making its AI-based system more practical and user-friendly."

"This hotel is perfect for layovers at the airport. You can access it directly from the 3rd floor via a walkway. One side of the rooms faces the airport, which means there's some noise. The breakfast selection is extensive. The internet speed is limited, and for an airport hotel, this needs improvement. Some rooms have connecting doors, but once closed, they can't be opened."

"See for yourself how bad the room was. It's on par with a budget hotel in China. It was incredibly noisy outside, the bathroom smelled awful with a persistent sewer odor, and I wouldn't dare use the hotel's towels. The bed was only 0.9 meters wide, and the room was so small I couldn't even open my luggage. The only upside was the airport shuttle service, which departed every hour on the hour in the morning. We were forced to stay here due to a typhoon. This was hands down the worst hotel of our entire trip."

"I hate using this to open the door. Is very inconvenient....I have to stand at the door for about 30second to wait the apps to load. No one like to download the apps and register for 1 time us purpose. After I check out I will delete the apps. You don't have a lot of hotel worldwide. The point collected will be gone. What's the point??? Hotel is located at the Mall. But the mall has nothing to shop and just a simple convenient store located at basement but open from 10-10 only..."

"The hotel facilities are decent, but the service attitude is problematic. When we checked into our rooms, we had an extra one. We wanted to check out of one room early, but they wouldn't allow it, which was understandable since it was pre-paid during booking. However, the hotel staff were extremely rigid and unhelpful, which is quite uncommon for hotels here. Ctrip (the booking platform) was excellent, trying to coordinate several times to help, but the hotel just kept saying there was nothing they could do. I confirmed with the front desk multiple times that we had a free laundry credit of 200,000 IDR. After repeated confirmations, at checkout, they said it was 200,000 IDR for one *bag* of laundry. They kept insisting that's what they had said all along, which was speechless. Towels weren't replaced promptly, and the bathmat hadn't been changed once in the five days since check-in. The laundry bag provided was stained with something, so I didn't dare to use it. The breakfast variety was mediocre, not much that suited our taste, and no chopsticks were provided."

"I booked this hotel because I had a 7:00 AM flight. You can't beat the accessibility! Our airline counter was B, and the hotel was behind D. It was great not having to worry about getting to the airport. Just be aware that the entrance is very hard to find. You have to go down a narrow passageway between ”Solaria” and ”100-Hour Curry” and then down the stairs. There's no elevator, but the staff handles all luggage up and down, which was a great help. You can buy beer next to the front desk!"
