It was a dream come true. We always wanted to visit this historical city of Gwalior. What a better place to stay than the Taj Usha Kiran Palace? The ambiance and the surroundings were perfect for a short holiday. The courteous staff and the people made this stay even more memorable. Ms.Tanika Taneja, Ms.Teresa Shaw, Ms.Vandita, Mr.Yeshwant, Mr.Singh (yoga), Ms.Ambica (Spa), Mr.Mousin and his team of musicians and Driver Pooran certainly made our stay memorable. We also would like to thank the complete team who took care of our room requirements and are unable to recall those names.

This hotel is a gem. The decor of hotel is very tasteful with nice bits of art placed in the rooms and in the corridors. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with a nice sit out. We ate at 2 of their restaurants Cafe-chino and Under the Mango Tree. The food was amazing especially at UMT, I would go back just to eat again at this restaurant. The breakfast buffet as well is very good and has a huge spread. Have rarely seen a buffet where even items from different cuisines are so nicely made. The most important thing which sets it apart is the staff, they are awesome. Had some great interactions with the manager at the buffet and one another person (he was at UMT too). Sorry dont remember their names but they were really great. Would love to stage again here.

The hotel is best located and the employees one of the mst courteous and best to help you out. One of the most best ambience that one can imagine. My wife and mother in law had the best of time and food at the hotel. Thnks to the restaurant and hotel ***ager for such best treatment.

The staff were friendly and the dining was good (the selection of soft drinks was limited). The room looks beautiful at first sight, but is very close to a nice turn. The bathroom was dated and dirty; there was no hot water. All overall a beautifully located hotel that is not fully worth the high price due to the late maintenance.

The hotel is located on the north side of the Khajurahosi temple complex, next to the museum. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the entrance of the West Temple Group, and six to seven minutes to the exit. The hotel garden environment is very good, but the decoration is a bit old. The facilities in the room are relatively complete and basically in good condition, except that the toilet tank is a little leaky. The air conditioner can't hit very low temperature, but it is enough. There is no need to book a room with a temple view, because the view is not very good. The breakfast is amazing, à la carte buffet, the best I've had in India. Freshly squeezed juice, freshly ground coffee, freshly made eggs, roast sausage, hash browns, and bread and cake baskets are all of good quality. For lunch, I ordered bacon and mushroom pasta and Caesar salad, which are also very good. The Caesar salad is the most authentic I have ever eaten in India. The service is very good, from the front desk to the guest room to the restaurant, with a good attitude and quick response, trying to meet the needs of the guests. All in all, the price of more than 600 is worth it!
