The camp is located outside of the official Wadi Rum desert, but easy to reach from the main road.
Tent: clean and spacious, had everything I needed. Hot shower was amazing. It was clean, as clean as things can be in a desert. I just had one mosquito in the tent, but might be more in other months - be prepared.
Dinner: absolutely amazing. A lot of great dishes, live music, separate desert. I really enjoyed the atmosphere.
Breakfast: not as amazing as dinner, but still absolutely sufficient.
Tour: Had a tour on the first day with another company - it was ok, but mostly covered the main spots - many other people there. On the second day booked a tour with the hotel directly - price was fair and the spots much better than the day before inside Wadi Rum. More spectacular and almost no people. Absolutely amazing.
Service: organized transport to the visitor center to catch my bus to Amman and made a fair deal together with the tour.
So actually no need to get into Wadi Rum village, you can get better spots directly from the camp. The pictures are all from the second tour organized by the camp.
Very polite and hospitable frint desk, especially Randa and Carmen. Service from all staff was very good. Only limitations are facilities for young kids. This hotel would suit mostly business travellers or couples. Also of note, is the newly refurbished roof-top bar .overlooking Gulf of Aqaba
Everything was comfortable. The reception staff were very good, especially The Egyptian Mr. Fayz who works at the café, thank you very much to him. The hotel location is excellent, with the sea in front of you and markets and restaurants beside you, so you don't need to rent a car.
This is an excellent hotel for a peaceful getaway. The grounds are compact but very well-maintained, and there's private parking available. The rooms are spacious, offering panoramic sea views and all the necessary amenities.
The food is top-notch: breakfast and dinner are served buffet-style, offering a diverse and delicious selection. There's a deep swimming pool and a jacuzzi too. The equipped beach has easy entry into the water, and a coral reef teeming with colorful fish starts right off the shore. There's also a professional diving center with instructors and equipment rental.
The ”15+ only” policy ensures a quiet atmosphere free from children's hustle and bustle – perfect for couples.
I was on a trip with my friend. It is a budget hotel but due to off season the service was slow. The cleanliness was average as well. Overall OK for a quick short stay.

Absolutely loved the stay at Luxotel. From the moment you srrive till you leave, you’re taken care of by a pleasant group of staff. The rooms are clean and nice and words can’t express how unreal the place is. Secluded and you don’t get wifi in the room which keeps you away from the busy life.
The food at the restaurant is amazing with a vast array of delectable foods. I thoroughly enjoy the stay.
Also, please arrange the 4 hour tour for 70 JOD with the hotel. We had a sunset tour and it was by far the best thing I’ve done today. Loved the stay and the staff and so thankful for making the stay unreal.
Good value hotel in Jordan
I have stayed in 5 hotels during 11 days of trip in Jordan. This is the best one !⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
All of the staffs are so friendly and nice. The restaurant staff is helpful and considerate . On the second day morning, she remembered my breakfast preference 😨, even the details.
There’s an Italian restaurant right near the hotel. You can enjoy discount yet there were cakes, drinks and shisha.
The room is so comfortable and new. I love the design. The night view is so lovely and magnificent. The amenity are good , it’s way better than Movenpick hotel. This hotel offers Dead Sea products for the guests. You can have free drinks from the fridge as well.
The room is very good and the balcony is also very big. The view is wide, the surrounding facilities are also very good, there is a Chinese restaurant not far from the hotel, very nice, will stay here again next time!

GGuest UserWe had a very bad experience during check in. Despite explaining that we were very tired & hungry (as it's already almost 8 in the evening), and we just need to check in immediately & have dinner; the staff at the reception denied our confirmed & paid reservation at trip.com. The staff knew that we were very tired, and we even offered to guarantee reservation with our credit card (just so we get the room & can have dinner); but he insisted to keep us waiting until he can get the response from trip.com.
After waiting for so long, he said that still no responses from trip.com and he just asked us to wait forever. I got really upset after a long argument with him; and i have to strongly argue with him to give us room & we paid with our credit card for a new reservation. WE NEED A ROOM! I showed him the amount I paid for the Seaview Room charged in USD. (I just realised the next day that he charged me the wrong amount instead of calculating it to USD amount with the correct convertion). So i was charged a wrong amount as I was too tired to check how much he charged me.
After a long argument & waiting, he finally gave me the room key; and said sorry for the waiting. They said that they will upgrade the room as an apologies. Just when we were in the room, I found out that they DID NOT upgrade the room. That's exactly the room I booked at trip.com; just I had to pay again with my credit card with a much higher rate! I was to tired to argue with the staff, so I no longer care after calling them saying they didn't upgrade us! This staff didn't even try to change the room; after we said this is not an upgrade. We PAID for this room category at trip.com.
Nobody apologies for these so many mistakes from the staffs or management. When we checked out, the manager asked me how was our stay? He was not even aware that WE HAD ISSUES that they denied our paid & confirmed booking!
Trip.com finally settled this issue with the hotel, and the hotel returned our overpaid credit card charged. Trip.com apologies a few times, they made many efforts to call us a few times. But the hotel & the management acting as if nothing happened! Is this really how a 5 stars hotel service? Luxury what? They treated us like a homeless person begging for room! So UNACCEPTABLE!
I have never experienced staying in a 5 stars hotel with such a BAD service like this! This is the worst in our history of travel! This place must keep their act together! Learn hospitality BETTER! Overall, we were very disappointed, & this place is far from Luxury Collection, it's a CHEAP collection!
GGuest UserBeautiful hotel close to the city center but there is not much to do there.
The hotel is a haven of peace where you are cut off from the world, you dress as you wish which is not necessarily the case outside.
The private beach is small, too bad we can't access the other hotels (walls delimit the hotels)
Small swimming area due to all boats passing nearby.
For a 5* the curtains with holes are average.
Otherwise everything else is great.
The breakfast buffet is huge and varied. The restaurants, on the other hand, are expensive and not great compared to the quality in the city center. They should have created a self-catering restaurant like in the morning.

GGuest UserIt is a brand-new hotel and is located in the central area of Aqaba with many shops around. The staff there are very helpful in providing tourist and transport information and show respect when receiving various feedback from guests.
GGuest UserEverything was fine, but I faced a problem with the lack of availability. For example, I contacted the receptionist in the morning and asked for the room to be cleaned and for my shoes to be changed (the room was cleaned, but the shoes were not provided). In the evening, I asked for the shoes to be provided, and the receptionist replied, ”Immediately,” but my request was not met.
DDafetahiOur stay at Shaheen Camp was an incredible experience, even though we were transferred to Hasan Zawaideh Camp due to the low season. Since the camps are next to each other, and likely have the same owners, the transition was seamless, and we were warmly welcomed upon arrival.
From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. The staff made sure we felt at home, offering delicious tea, traditional dance, and live music, creating a truly immersive Bedouin experience. The variety of tours and activities they provided allowed us to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Wadi Rum in an unforgettable way.
The food was outstanding—authentic, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Every meal felt like a special occasion, adding to the magic of our stay.
The only minor point for improvement was the bed setup, as it was made up of two single beds combined, but honestly, this was such a small detail compared to the overall incredible experience we had.
If you’re looking for a welcoming, authentic, and memorable stay in Wadi Rum, I highly recommend Shaheen and Hasan Zawaideh Camp. I would gladly return for another unforgettable adventure!

GGuest UserWe stayed here as a family in a bubble tent during our trip to Wadi Rum, and overall we had a very positive experience.
The owner, Eid, was genuinely attentive from the very beginning. Shortly after we made the reservation, he contacted us by email and stayed in touch throughout the process. He truly does his best at every stage to make sure his guests are comfortable and satisfied. We really appreciated that level of care and communication.
The location of the camp is beautiful and peaceful. Even though the weather was partly cloudy, we were still able to see the stars at night, which was very special.
Dinner was excellent, with a wide variety of dishes. The vegetable options were especially delicious and thoughtfully prepared.
We also joined a jeep desert tour, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our stay. Our guide (I unfortunately forgot his name) was friendly and made the experience both enjoyable and comfortable.
Traveling with two children, we felt safe, relaxed, and well taken care of throughout our stay. I would happily recommend this camp to other families visiting Wadi Rum.
MMsMelissaDisappointing experience — seclusion, limited services, and hidden costs.
To be honest, my stay in Wadi Rum was quite disappointing. Almost everything had an additional fee or charge attached, which felt frustrating and unnecessary. The location itself is very secluded, about a 20-minute drive from the main area, and you’re reliant on the hotel’s scheduled shuttle times. This didn’t align with my plans, and I had to arrange an unsanctioned jeep to leave on time.
The bubble tent itself was underwhelming. In the mornings, they cover it due to the heat, which defeats the main appeal — you can’t really enjoy the sunrise or take photos. Food options were limited, and the activities available were few. I also fell ill on the second day for reasons I couldn’t pinpoint, which left me out of commission for 48 hours.
Service overall felt a bit transactional, with an element of greed, which didn’t sit well with me. While Wadi Rum itself is undeniably beautiful, the hotel experience here fell far short of expectations.
