"Excellent! The location is superb, just a 5-minute walk to Kanazawa Station.
The room size was perfect for one person. Check-in and the common areas are located on the top floor. The shared facilities and amenities are well-stocked, and there's a lovely outdoor terrace with a decent view.
Even though it's next to the Shinkansen line, the soundproofing is quite good. The Hokuriku Shinkansen doesn't run that frequently in the early mornings or late evenings anyway, and all trains slow down to stop at Kanazawa Station, so it wasn't noisy at all.
The hotel's interior, starting right from the ground floor entrance, is adorned with gold leaf accents, giving it a very distinct Kanazawa feel."

"The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of several attractions. Kanazawa Station is easily accessible by multiple bus routes, which is a real plus.
For breakfast, we tried both options during our two-night stay:
The first morning, we had the three-way blackthroat seaperch dish at Omicho Market. The fish was delicious, and the ochazuke (rice with tea) was fresh and flavorful. This is a great option if you plan on trying multiple local foods throughout the day, as it's not too filling.
On the second day, we opted for the buffet breakfast on the hotel's first floor. There was a wide variety of choices, but it did get quite crowded, so I recommend going early. This is perfect if you have travel plans for the day, as a hearty breakfast here could easily carry you through lunch.
The room itself was reasonably spacious. The TV conveniently displays real-time occupancy updates for the public bath. Compared to other business hotels in Japan, Mitsui Hotels tend to be more consistently reliable and modern."

"Everything was good, but I'm afraid I can't give high marks for the facilities and service. It was self-check-in, and cleaning only happened after a few days' stay. I was a bit annoyed to find the hotel was cheaper after I booked it. When I asked about a room upgrade, they seemed really surprised, like, why be surprised if it's not possible? It's like going to a public bathhouse, seeing people naked, and then being surprised – the sign says no surprises! Secondly, there were no facilities whatsoever. It's one thing not to have disposable slippers for adults, but they didn't even have them for kids, only adult-sized ones. My child was clattering around in oversized slippers. If they don't cater to children, they should state that they don't accept kids. As for disposable skincare products, razors, and combs, forget about it, definitely none of those. Although my son said this was the worst hotel we've ever booked, I don't think it's that bad. The large public bath was quite comfortable. I hope the owner improves things."

"This was the best out of the three hotels we stayed at during our trip. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from Kanazawa Station, and there's a bus stop conveniently located nearby. The superior double room was spacious and comfortable, with a well-thought-out layout that included a microwave and a washer-dryer. The front desk staff were attentive and friendly, and the breakfast was also very good. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Kanazawa!"

"The room was quite spacious, I had no problem opening my luggage, and I reckon it would be fine for two people as well, plenty of space. There's a bathtub for soaking, and toiletries are self-service, you need to pick them up yourself at the lobby on the ground floor. Check-in is done via machine, with a Chinese language option available. There are also staff at the front desk if you have questions, but the hotel seems to have more Western guests, so the front desk might not speak Chinese (at least I didn't encounter anyone who did). It's best to know a bit of English, otherwise, communication could be a hassle."

After arriving at Komatsu Airport, it costs 1300 yen to take the airport bus directly to Kanazawa Station. From the Gumen of the Kanazawa Station sign, walk about 150m to the building where the Youth Hostel is located. The Youth Hostel is located on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator here. It is not convenient to carry large boxes.
The location of the Youth Hostel is very convenient. It is a 3-minute walk to Kanazawa Station. There are various dining and supermarkets in the station. You can walk to the sightseeing areas such as Jinjiang Market, Kenliuyuan, Kanazawa City, 21st Century Art Museum, Dongchawu Street and other sightseeing areas. You can also buy a 1-day bus ticket to visit Kanazawa in the Kanazawa Station sightseeing case.
I stayed in a girls' bed room. The area needs to enter the password. The privacy is very good. There are seven girls' beds. There is a toilet and a shower room for girls. It is clean and comfortable. There is a facial cleanser shower gel conditioner hair dryer. The bed is very spacious, not the bunk bed but the single floor, the space is quite large, there is a locker with a password in the bed, there are slippers, a clean bath towel is provided every day during the stay, and the free network signal is stable. There is also a special tea room in the girls area with a water heater microwave oven. Note that toothbrush and toothpaste are not provided here. Shower room is small and can feel cramped and crowded for tall people. The only problem for me is that the mattress is too soft and I am not very comfortable with it myself.
The public space of the Youth Hostel provides free coffee and tea, and the mixed dormitory area also has a shower room washing area washing machine dryer, which is more complete. This is a good affordable place to stay when traveling alone in Kanazawa, and I have a pleasant time here. Kanazawa is a clean, beautiful, quaint and charming city, and I hope to have the opportunity to visit again.

AAnonymous UserI stayed for one nights. The front desk staff and the restaurant staff were all very friendly and made for a very comfortable stay. They also gave me detailed information about recommended restaurants in the area. The large public bath was also very spacious, and from the open-air bath I could see the mountain stream through the trees. The sound of the water and the clear air were truly soothing. I expect the cold weather will continue in Yamanaka Onsen for the foreseeable future, so please take care of yourselves, and I hope all the staff members take good care of themselves.

Bbmblgloi could hear the traffic clearly on the 3rd floor, so they moved me to the 12th floor where it was mostly quiet. there was an electrical buzzing sound coming from the bathroom, i thought it was the lightbulb, but when i got in the shower it sounded like it emanated from the vent. i shut the bathroom door and it was almost inaudible from bed so i was able to sleep. definitely quieter than most of the japanese hotels i've experienced in this price range.

free water machine on every floor (i think). free coffee in the lobby. convenience stores nearby. expensive grocery store ~200 meters. regular grocery stores are a bus ride away, so it made more sense to me to get the buffet.
breakfast costs 1800yen when paying in-person, but when adding it on trip.com it was less of an increase in cost. it was disappointing because there were pictures of different kinds of fish online and on the picture in the hotel lobby, but they didn't have fish as seen kin the pictures. i still purchased the breakfast when i extended my stay because they had eggs, good vegetables, and ice cream. the fruit was in syrup so i'm guessing it was from a can. orange juice was from a carton. i didn't see any meat in the curry, just potatoes. overall, mostly cheap, but with a few tasty items of quality.
only 2 washing machines and they also dry the clothes so it takes ~2 hours. 400-600 yen for washing and drying. it dispenses detergent automatically, but the detergent was insufficient so i added my own and rewashed it; therefore, i was unfortunately hogging 1 of the 2 machines for several hours. plus it cost me well over 1000 yen.

MMiaowuThis hotel is super convenient, right next to JR Kanazawa Station. The rooms are large, neat, and clean, and even come with a small kitchen. The service is excellent, and they offer free coffee, Ichiban Shibori beer, and other drinks in the lobby every day – I especially loved the apple sparkling water! It's an outstanding hotel that I highly recommend.

The room with an extra bed comfortably accommodates three people, and the bathroom has a separate shower and toilet, so no one has to fight for the bathroom. If you're driving, there's a dedicated parking lot next door for 1,000 yen per night. A skywalk connects the parking lot to the hotel's 3rd floor, making access very convenient. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit Kanazawa.
