"Extremely satisfied with this hotel, it's my second time staying here. The bathroom is incredibly spacious, featuring a Lixil unit bath that's perfectly flush with the room, making it very comfortable. It feels like a 1616 size, much larger than typical hotel bathrooms. The rooftop terrace near the check-in area is also exceptional, offering fantastic views of the railway leading into Kanazawa Station. The only downsides are limited parking and it's slightly pricier compared to surrounding options."

"The lounge service offered cold sake and wine, and the cold sake was so delicious I drank quite a bit, haha! The room was also very clean, I could hear the sound of the river, and the food was incredibly tasty! The salmon sashimi was especially good, and the kakiage (tempura fritter) was still crispy even when cold, with a rich shrimp flavor – I kept going back for more! For breakfast, the handmade mini onigiri (rice balls) were the perfect size and so delicious I could have eaten countless more. The facilities were very well-maintained and clean, and the bath was lovely. Next time, I'd love to come with my husband!"

"The Fusha Hotel in Kanazawa was a pleasant surprise! The price, environment, and facilities were all excellent. The lobby offers a free self-service coffee machine, and in the afternoon and evening, you can even get a complimentary glass of wine or sake. The breakfast spread was also very substantial. Plus, there's an old man's restaurant in the underground food street across the road that serves delicious and affordable food."

"Although the room is 19sqm, it was enough for 3 of us. The bathroom was a good size. The location was good, 15 min walk from kenroku-en. There was free flow drinks at the cafe from 4-8pm.. However, as our room was on 2nd floor, and next to the small lane, with many pubs, it was quite noisy through the night."

"Traveling solo, I splurged on a Japanese-style room that could probably fit four people. It's an older ryokan, but that didn't really detract from the experience. The only thing was that during the off-season, the in-house restaurant for dinner was closed, so I had to buy food from a convenience store and bring it back.
Regarding the service, the shuttle driver was incredibly diligent and responsible, even waiting for me at the station for 2-3 minutes – I'm very grateful for that 🙏. In contrast, the two front desk staff (they were clearly not Japanese, probably Indian or Southeast Asian) were the most unprofessional hotel employees I've ever encountered: in the morning, when I greeted them, there was no reply; later, when I walked in from outside the hotel, they were loudly chatting and laughing. I've been to Japan so many times and stayed at so many hotels, but I've never experienced anything like this before."

For breakfast, we tried both options during our two-night stay:
The first morning, we had the three-way blackthroat seaperch dish at Omicho Market. The fish was delicious, and the ochazuke (rice with tea) was fresh and flavorful. This is a great option if you plan on trying multiple local foods throughout the day, as it's not too filling.
On the second day, we opted for the buffet breakfast on the hotel's first floor. There was a wide variety of choices, but it did get quite crowded, so I recommend going early. This is perfect if you have travel plans for the day, as a hearty breakfast here could easily carry you through lunch.
The room itself was reasonably spacious. The TV conveniently displays real-time occupancy updates for the public bath. Compared to other business hotels in Japan, Mitsui Hotels tend to be more consistently reliable and modern."

"This is my go-to hotel whenever I visit Kaga Onsen in Komatsu; I've stayed here a total of five times. That's how satisfied I am with their service, the quality of their hot springs, and the variety of food they offer. They even provide unlimited snacks, onsen eggs, drinks, and potatoes throughout the day, which is so good you barely need a full meal. There are three different hot spring baths, and since they operate on a rotating schedule for men and women, you get to experience all the different tubs. The facilities are well-maintained and spotless. I highly recommend it! The staff are all incredibly friendly, giving you a true taste of Japanese hospitality."

"This hotel is quite good and worth recommending. We booked a triple room, which was perfect for a family of three. The hotel concierge was very attentive during check-in. There's a convenient store downstairs, and it's very close to Kanazawa Station. On rainy days, you don't have to worry much about getting wet as there's a covered walkway from the station, within 300 meters. The luggage storage service is also excellent. Overall, a five-star review! The only downside is that the hotel lobby is on the second floor. While it's easy to take large luggage up to the second floor using the escalator, you have to carry it down the stairs when checking out."

"If there's a Daiwa, I'll always choose Daiwa first! This one is at Kanazawa West Exit. Just walk past the entrance of the HYATT Regency hotel on your right, then turn right again, and you're there. I got a random room type, which turned out to be a twin room. I arrived at Kanazawa Station at 13:01 and at the hotel at 13:06. The front desk said there was a room available and checked me in right away, saving me the hassle of storing my luggage. So grateful! 🥹 The toilet is separate, the sink is separate, and the shower room even has a bathtub. The space is plenty big, clean, and tidy!!! Highly recommended!!!"

Guest UserLocation: Right next to Omicho Market, about a 15-minute walk from Kanazawa Station, and easily accessible by bus. Kanazawa city center is quite small, and the hotel is about a 10-minute walk to Korinbo, the main shopping district.
Room Layout: Upon entering the hotel, you remove your shoes and walk barefoot, giving it a Japanese onsen hotel feel. The rooms are tatami style, and you switch to slippers when entering the restroom.
Surrounding Environment: I was assigned a room not facing the street, which was quite quiet. The hallway soundproofing, however, was average. One night after midnight, I could clearly hear some Hongkongers speaking loudly in their room.
Service: It was decent. The front desk staff's attitude was fine, but they enforce a policy of cleaning rooms only once every three days or more. If you request daily cleaning, there's an additional charge of 1500 JPY, which is a bit annoying.
Hot Spring Facilities: Pretty good! There's an outdoor onsen and a sauna. The onsen area is quite spacious. After soaking, you get free ice pops, and there's late-night ramen available. It was a very comfortable hot spring experience.

After arriving at Komatsu Airport, I took the airport bus for 1300 yen directly to Kanazawa Station. From the Drum Gate (a landmark in front of Kanazawa Station), it's about a 150-meter walk to the hostel building. The hostel occupies the entire 3rd floor; there's no elevator, which might be inconvenient if you have large suitcases.
The hostel's location is very convenient, a 3-minute walk to Kanazawa Station. There are various restaurants and supermarkets within the station, and you can walk to Omicho Market, Kenrokuen Garden, Kanazawa Castle, the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Higashi Chaya Street, and other tourist areas. You can also buy a one-day bus pass at the Kanazawa Station Tourist Information Center to explore Kanazawa.
I stayed in a female dormitory room. This area requires a password to enter, ensuring good privacy. There are seven female dorm rooms, each with a dedicated toilet and shower. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and provide face wash, shower gel, conditioner, and a hairdryer. The beds were spacious, single-level rather than bunk beds, with ample room. Each bed had a locker with a password, slippers, and a clean towel provided daily. Free Wi-Fi with a stable signal was available. The women's area also had a dedicated tea room with a kettle, microwave, and mini-fridge. Note that toothbrushes and toothpaste were not provided. The shower room was small, which might feel cramped for taller individuals. My only issue was the mattress, which was too soft for my comfort.
The hostel's common areas offered free coffee and tea, and the mixed dormitory area had showers, washrooms, and washing machines and dryers, making the facilities quite comprehensive. This was a great, affordable place to stay during my solo trip to Kanazawa, where I had a pleasant and enjoyable time. Kanazawa is a clean, beautiful, quaint, and charming city, and I hope to have the opportunity to visit again.

We really loved our stay here. The staff were very helpful, the facilities were clean and well appointed. The room was large, clean and well maintained with traditional styling. The view of the river and forest was tranquil and the onsen was big and very clean with at least 2-3 hot pools, a cold plunge bath and sauna. The view from the onsen is also really beautiful. The food was also really incredible. Overall the place has a very tranquil and calming vibe. We spent four nights here but wish we could have stayed longer.

bmblgloi could hear the traffic clearly on the 3rd floor, so they moved me to the 12th floor where it was mostly quiet. there was an electrical buzzing sound coming from the bathroom, i thought it was the lightbulb, but when i got in the shower it sounded like it emanated from the vent. i shut the bathroom door and it was almost inaudible from bed so i was able to sleep. definitely quieter than most of the japanese hotels i've experienced in this price range.

free water machine on every floor (i think). free coffee in the lobby. convenience stores nearby. expensive grocery store ~200 meters. regular grocery stores are a bus ride away, so it made more sense to me to get the buffet.
breakfast costs 1800yen when paying in-person, but when adding it on trip.com it was less of an increase in cost. it was disappointing because there were pictures of different kinds of fish online and on the picture in the hotel lobby, but they didn't have fish as seen kin the pictures. i still purchased the breakfast when i extended my stay because they had eggs, good vegetables, and ice cream. the fruit was in syrup so i'm guessing it was from a can. orange juice was from a carton. i didn't see any meat in the curry, just potatoes. overall, mostly cheap, but with a few tasty items of quality.
only 2 washing machines and they also dry the clothes so it takes ~2 hours. 400-600 yen for washing and drying. it dispenses detergent automatically, but the detergent was insufficient so i added my own and rewashed it; therefore, i was unfortunately hogging 1 of the 2 machines for several hours. plus it cost me well over 1000 yen.

Guest UserAs expected from a well-established hotel! The front desk service was incredibly welcoming. The hotel itself is grand and upscale, with spacious and bright rooms. It truly lives up to its reputation as the tallest building in Hokuriku, offering excellent views from the room. I didn't get to try breakfast, but the hotel boasts 7 restaurants and a sky bar, which says it all. Every service you could think of is available. It's also very close to Kanazawa Station; you can reach the station entirely via an underground passage, so no need to worry about rain or sun! The room amenities are all-inclusive. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kanazawa!

Anonymous UserThis hotel is clearly showing its age and may not meet expectations for those looking for a more modern or well-maintained stay. While it carries the IHG branding, the overall experience feels dated.
One of the main challenges was communication. The front desk staff had very limited English proficiency, making it difficult to get clear directions—especially regarding parking. Guests are required to go to the front desk to ask about parking arrangements, which is not very convenient. The signage outside is also misleading, and it’s easy to mistakenly park at a nearby open-air lot that charges ¥100 per 15 minutes or ¥1000 for 12 hours. The hotel’s designated parking is actually located in a shopping mall, which is not immediately obvious.
The rooms themselves are quite old, with worn facilities. The bathroom had a noticeable musty smell, suggesting poor ventilation or maintenance. Amenities were basic—Dove toiletries were provided instead of the more commonly seen Pola brand in Japanese hotels. The air conditioning was also ineffective, which made the stay less comfortable.
That said, the hotel does have one strong advantage: location. It is directly opposite Ōmichō Market, making it very convenient for exploring the market and enjoying a great local breakfast.
Overall, this hotel may be suitable for travelers
who prioritize location over comfort, but those expecting a smoother and more modern stay might want to consider other options.

Both are good. There's a Japanese restaurant on the second floor that's delicious and reasonably priced—highly recommended. Kenrokuen Garden is right across the street, and the art museum is also nearby, all within walking distance. There are also buses nearby that go to Kanazawa Station, which is very convenient.
