Booked this hotel as I was visiting a show in Pacifico Yokohama and this was within reasonable walking distance through Landmark Plaza. General location is excellent, within short walking distance from Sakuragicho Station on the JR line, thru the Colette Mall which is connected to the hotel. Also walkable to the Ferris Wheel and Cup Noodles Museum. The Colette Mall has a wide variety of shops and restaurants including a cinema and supermarket in the basement so that adds to the convenience for this hotel. The hotel lobby is on L3, where they also have a restaurant and an amenities rack where you can pick up what you need (hair brush, shower cap, shaver kit etc). The room is rather small for 2 persons with not much space to walk around if you have 2 luggages opened at the same time. Bathroom area is also quite tight but thankfully clean. I guess the size is typical of hotels in Japan. Bed and pillow is ok though I would prefer it firmer. There's a water dispenser on every level near the lifts. I also wished they had brighter lights, the dim orange lights make working on the laptop a little challenging. It's also interesting that they change the bedsheets daily when I request for making up room but actually all I need is a change of towels and clearing out the rubbish. Maybe they can offer an option for just that in future, to be more sustainable.

The room was a bit small but had everything we needed. The check-in experience was good. There's a pedestrian street nearby, which made dining and shopping very convenient. Breakfast was Western-style Italian. Overall, it was pretty good.

The room was very spacious, and apart from skincare products, all other amenities were well-provided. The wet/dry separation in the bathroom was also a nice touch. The ocean view room was absolutely stunning, and we even got to see the fireworks display for Yokohama Port's opening season at night. The only downside was that the air conditioning was a bit noisy. The front desk service was excellent; they could communicate in Chinese, English, and Japanese, and they also offered free luggage storage. Very satisfied overall!

Facilities: Well-equipped, with the front desk located on a higher floor. Cleanliness: Good, with timely daily cleaning. Ambiance: As a newly opened hotel, the environment is excellent. You can see the park below the mountain and the Hikawa Maru ship right across from the hotel. Service: Excellent, they are responsive to all requests. Highlights: The Haneda Airport shuttle bus stop is right across the street, and the subway station is about a 5-minute walk away. Amenities: There's a 24-hour supermarket within a 5-minute walk and a large Don Quijote store within a 10-minute walk. Drawbacks: If you plan to stay in Yokohama but travel to Tokyo, reconsider, as it takes 6 stops on the Minatomirai Line to reach Yokohama Station and about an hour to get to central Tokyo.

This was my second stay here. My previous visit with my child was so enjoyable that when a friend came to Japan, I brought them here for a night. Throughout our stay, the staff were incredibly kind and thoughtful. Both breakfast and dinner were very satisfying. However, at check-out, one particular staff member's attitude absolutely floored me. 1. For self-check-out, there were three machines. One was free, and there was no queue, so we just went ahead and used it. 2. After checking out, I wanted to inquire about the hotel shuttle and public bus routes and schedules, as we didn't have a car this time. Both manual check-out counters were busy with guests, so I stood behind them, waiting my turn. 3. Suddenly, a staff member came out from the side to guide guests queuing for check-out. She noticed I was inadvertently standing in front of the line she was directing. She gestured for me to move, and I apologized and immediately stepped aside. Then, when she had a moment, I asked her where I should queue to inquire about the hotel bus schedule. For some reason, she seemed extremely annoyed. She spoke to me with a blank expression for a couple of sentences, then realized I didn't speak Japanese, and that she couldn't explain it to me quickly. Our conversation wasn't even finished when she angrily turned and walked away... At first, I thought she was in a hurry to attend to the queuing guests, as it was peak check-out time, and that she'd get back to me. So I waited in a spot where I wouldn't bother her or her line. But then I realized she completely intended to ignore me! I just stood there waiting for her, hahaha. Eventually, I thought, 'This isn't right. Is getting a schedule really this difficult?' She was the only person available to ask, so I went up to her again and asked in English. She froze, looking at me with a surprised expression, perhaps not expecting me to come back after her impolite demeanor. So, she had to patiently, albeit reluctantly, quickly reply to me in English. I asked if she could give me a copy of the schedule. She didn't even say ”please wait a moment.” She just turned directly to the counter, grabbed a schedule, practically slapped it into my hand with a ”Pia!” sound, said absolutely nothing, and then spun around and walked away, hahaha. I even managed to say ”thank you” to her. I was stunned. A 2600 yen per night hotel, and in my two years in Japan, this was the first time I'd experienced such shockingly poor service. I suggest that during peak check-out times, more staff should be assigned, or essential information like schedules should be placed in a conspicuous location, which would also save staff the trouble. And while the hotel indicates Chinese-speaking service is available, if staff who only speak Chinese are discouraged from asking questions, then I suggest the hotel shouldn't be on platforms like Ctrip trying to attract Chinese customers in the first place.

I returned to my beloved Sakuragicho Washington Hotel for a two-night stay at the end of 2025. It's conveniently located right across from JR Sakuragicho Station, just a few minutes' walk away. Directly opposite is a large shopping mall with a cinema and many restaurants on the top floor, and a supermarket on the basement level that's open until 11 PM. Situated in the Minatomirai area, its prime location means you can take the cable car across and walk to the Red Brick Warehouse in just about ten minutes! When booking, try to reserve a room with 'night view' in the description. You'll be able to see the stunning night view of Minatomirai. I booked late this time and only got a room on the other side, but it felt a bit more spacious! At the front desk, you can pick up skincare products, toiletries, face masks, and bath additives. Breakfast is on the fifth floor at Bayside, where you can enjoy tuna from Misaki Port and some Yokohama specialty dishes. If you're lucky, you might even get a table with a view! Joining the Fujita membership allows you to enjoy complimentary tea and coffee in the lounge. You can also accumulate points to exchange for a night-view room, and receive small gifts.

I stayed here because I was attending a Live concert in Bandori. Most hotels near Yokohama were booked, so I ended up staying in Shin-Yokohama. The transportation here is quite convenient, but JR trains between Shin-Yokohama and Yokohama are infrequent. The Live concert was at K-Arena, and taking the subway was more expensive than JR. The hotel is quite close if you exit from the JR station. If you're taking the subway and have a lot of luggage, you can exit from exit 9, which has an elevator to ground level. The hotel room was quite spacious; I stayed in a twin room. The front desk staff spoke good English, so communication was easy. I think there were also staff who spoke Chinese, as I encountered some in the second-floor restaurant. You need to swipe your card to enter the elevator on the first floor, and remember to take your room key with you when you leave the room. The room was as shown in the pictures. There was a desk with power outlets and charging ports, and also one by the bedside. Opening the window was a bit tricky as it had two locks; both needed to be unlocked to push it open slightly for ventilation. Initially, with the window closed, the room was as hot as summer in winter. It got better after opening the window for ventilation. The room had a private toilet and a separate washbasin. There was a bathtub, and the water pressure was strong, so it filled quickly. Soaking in the tub after the Live concert was very comfortable. The length of the bathtub was a bit cramped for someone 1.8 meters tall, but it was usable. The hotel Wi-Fi was available but the speed was quite average; I hope they can improve it. There were too few washing machines at the hotel, only two on the second floor, but they were inexpensive. When I returned in the evening, they were often occupied, so I had to wait. If clothes are left in the washing machine for too long, they will be taken by the front desk for safekeeping. There was also a public laundry room nearby, but I didn't go, assuming the prices wouldn't be as good as the hotel's. The hotel has sofas on the first floor where you can sit, but the common area seemed small, not as big as Toyoko Inn (like the one in Ikebukuro; there's also a Toyoko Inn next to this hotel, but I don't know its situation). There wasn't much space to eat bento boxes. The second-floor restaurant is only open for breakfast and requires payment. There's a water dispenser and ice machine next to the washing machines on the second floor. The room has a kettle, tea bags, and coffee sachets. Disposable toothbrushes and facial cleansers can be picked up from a cabinet in the lobby on the first floor; they are not directly placed in the room, which is something to note. Overall, this hotel is quite similar to most business hotels in China (like Hanting or Home Inn), but the rooms are slightly smaller. Considering the price, location, and cost of living in Japan, it's actually pretty good, especially for two people. The only drawback is the extremely limited number of washing machines. A budget hotel I stayed at in Osaka had six washing machines and dryers, so having only two here is definitely insufficient. I hope they can add more in the future.

The service attitude at Japanese hotels is always excellent. Although the room was small, it had everything I needed. Housekeeping was every four days, but fresh towels and new garbage bags were provided daily, which was perfect for a business trip. The location is great, close to Sakuragicho and within walking distance of Nippon Maru. Plus, there's a convenience store right downstairs, making it super convenient.

I arrived at the hotel in the evening and was given an even-numbered room with a view of the Ferris wheel in the port area... What a pleasant surprise it was the next morning when I opened the window to see Mount Fuji! The room was quite spacious for Tokyo standards, between 35-40 square meters. There's no need to worry about hygiene in Japanese hotels; the cleanliness standards ensure a comfortable stay. Most of the staff are from Southeast Asia or English-speaking countries, so communication was not an issue. The location isn't the absolute best; for our travels, it's still four stations away from Yokohama Station on the Minatomirai Line, which is about 15 minutes, haha. But given the price and quality, it's totally worth it! What truly convinced me to stay here was their children's policy. Japan is notoriously difficult when it comes to choosing hotels for family travel. With two adults and two pre-teens (not infants), you're often asked to book two rooms. Even if you're willing to pay more, you don't want to sleep in separate rooms as it's inconvenient for looking after each other. However, this hotel allows 2+2 in one suite, which makes it very convenient for parents. Plus, the twin beds can be combined, and there are no annoying bedside tables, which is excellent. This tip is for other parents out there. The only drawback was that even though the booking information clearly stated 2+2, and the hotel was aware, with a multi-person fee paid, the amenities provided were only for a standard occupancy. The reception didn't proactively ask if we needed children's amenities during check-in, and we only realized how scarce the supplies were after entering the room, prompting us to request more... Only two bottles of bottled water were provided. I let it slide on the first day because the room was randomly assigned, but it was still two bottles on the second day. If someone makes formula, there's no water left for anyone else to drink... I hope they can be more generous in this regard; it's a small cost for great value.

GGuest UserI spent a wonderful night here during New Year's Eve. The waiter barely understands people and foreign languages, but he is friendly and good at communication. I booked a public bathroom first, but then I changed it to a private bath when there was room. My satisfaction improved a lot! The hotel is very close to Hakoyō-Yumoto Station, and the taxi cost was less than 1,000 yen. Later, we couldn't get a taxi and it was very comfortable for us to walk to the station for 15 minutes with our children🏳️🌈

GGuest UserWe used this hotel for a birthday trip. We had requested a message plate when making the reservation, but it wasn't reflected in our request. However, when we inquired with the staff during dinner, they kindly accommodated our request, allowing us to create the surprise. I had always wanted to stay at Fufu, and this was my first time, and it was a wonderful experience. We've already talked about wanting to stay at other Fufu locations for each other's birthday trips in the future. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

TTim NazarovWe were looking for onsen with private bath on the balcony and probably hit the sweet spot. Unfortunately we had only 1 night stay, but it was fantastic. Onsen is located at the top station Gora, where you can get from Odawara. That’s around 2 hours from Tokyo all together, around 3 hours from Kyoto. Last 2 sections of the way are going through a picturesque steep railway. Views are great! Be sure to rush to the front or back seats (doesn’t matter which) to secure a spot for nice photographs. Private bath is fantastic, rooms are clean and spacious with a touch of ryokan style (tatami etc). That’s a perfect place to sit and relax doesn’t matter it’s sunshine or pooring rain outside. The food was fantastic (according to my wife), however the options are limited if you’re not eating fish or sea products due to allergy or other reasons. For Karaku team - I would suggest adding a signature wagyu set for those who would like something else. Selection of wine and alcohol drinks is superb. Free snacks and coffee are available till 8 p.m. as well with a view terrace. For those who like some regular conbini stuff - Lawson is around 10 mins walk with Miyazaki style trains passing by👌🏻 All in all, we wish we had stayed at least 2 nights as there are lots of activities around.  Thanks to Karaku staff for a warm welcome and tailored experience!

JJinjingToday, under a beautiful sky, I arrived in the seaside city of Yokohama and checked into the InterContinental Yokohama Grand. Although the hotel shows its age a bit, the lobby is spacious, bright, and grand. The room facilities are complete, and the bedding is soft and comfortable. Outside the window, I could see the Ferris wheel and amusement park, with skyscrapers towering nearby. The breakfast offered a rich variety, and the night view was spectacular. Overall, Yokohama gave me a strong sense of the future!

GGuest UserThis time, I booked a hotel on Trip.com without any prior research, and I wasn't disappointed when I arrived. I opted for the 'one night, one meal' package, but in retrospect, 'one night, two meals' might have been more convenient. Getting there was easy, with convenient bus stops at Kowakien and Tenyu stations. The surroundings are lovely, and the cleanliness was up to par. The room even has a bathtub for a natural hot spring bath! It's real hot spring water, and they only charged a few dollars for two uses, which is very reasonable. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied.

HHehehe_233This is by far the best hotel I've stayed at in the greater Tokyo area! The transportation is incredibly convenient; it's very close to JR Kawasaki Station, and you can reach Tokyo Station in about 20 minutes with just three stops on the Tokaido Line. It really holds its own against hotels within central Tokyo. The area around Kawasaki Station is also bustling with businesses. The front desk staff were exceptionally warm and friendly. The room itself was spotless and tidy, and the amenities were well-appointed – even the TV was a large Sony. Thank you!!

11360173****Ryori-yaku (restaurant name), the hot springs in Hakone are unparalleled, but the food here really deserves mention. I've been to Ryori-yaku in Izu before, and compared to that, this one probably suits my taste better. It's not as sweet, so the food is refreshing and not cloying. The only downside is that the rooms are really small—every inch of space is precious!

GGuest UserTake the Shinkansen from Osaka to Odawara, then transfer to the tram to Hakone Yumoto, and then take a bus to Gora. Two people dragged their suitcases and walked uphill for 15 minutes. They were exhausted. When they arrived at the hotel, they found that they could wait for the train in Gora, and it only took 5 minutes to walk. The hotel facilities are not new, and there are not many guests, mostly Japanese tourists. The hot spring is relatively small, and the water temperature is very high. You have to come out to breathe after soaking for a while. I experienced the private bath and open-air hot spring, and there were a lot of mosquitoes. The food is OK, worthy of the price.
