The hotel's location is excellent, offering panoramic views of the entire bay.
The hotel shuttle bus is convenient, running twice an hour.
Breakfast offers a rich variety, including a flavorful miso soup made with fish bones and kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot). The dining area is spacious, and the staff tries their best to seat guests at tables with good views. It wasn't crowded during meal times either.
We had dinner at the hotel both nights of our stay, trying the fish set menu, steak set menu, sashimi, and the splendid alfonsino set menu. All were exceptional, especially the sashimi, which was beautifully presented and incredibly fresh. Paired with local beer, it was a fantastic experience.
For guests staying more than one night, if you choose to forgo room cleaning, the hotel provides a 1000 JPY voucher that can be used at the hotel's convenience store.
I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Izu.
The day I stayed, there were a lot of elementary school groups, and the elevator was slow to come because there was only one, which was inconvenient, but other than that it was comfortable. As a precaution against the large group, I decided not to go to the public bath or have breakfast, so I avoided the crowds, but I wish I could have. The view from the window of my room facing south was nothing special, but that was nice.
The owners of this hotel are a Chinese couple, and the wife is so kind and beautiful. I'm especially grateful for the delicious Chinese dinner she personally cooked for us – it was incredibly tasty! I highly recommend this place. Wishing the owners all the best and an abundance of wealth from all directions. Thank you, thank you, thank you! 🌹🌹🌹❤️❤️❤️
The old gentleman at the front desk gave me detailed directions in Chinese and even drew out each path with a red pen, which was incredibly thoughtful. The hot springs were all fantastic, and the sunrise with the snow view was truly unbeatable – it brought such peace to my soul, definitely worth getting up at 6:30 AM to see, it was just too beautiful.
On the night of my check-in, the Shinkansen was delayed due to heavy snow in Tokyo, and I missed the 11 PM check-in deadline. I called to request a slightly later check-in, and the old gentleman at the front desk readily agreed.
I had a really great stay at Hotel Clad — easily one of the more luxurious experiences compared to the smaller, compact hotels I stayed in around Tokyo and Osaka.
One of the biggest highlights was the view of Mount Fuji. I was lucky enough to catch a clear view around 5am+, which was absolutely beautiful. Even more special was being able to see Mount Fuji at night — I could take night photos right from the comfort of my room. It was such an amazing experience, especially since the weather really cooperated during my stay.
The room itself was spacious (a big plus compared to typical city hotels in Japan), with a very comfortable bed that made it easy to fully relax. Considering it was during sakura peak season, I found the price to be quite reasonable and good value for what you get.
Overall, I’m very happy with my stay — the combination of comfort, space, and those unforgettable Mount Fuji views made it truly memorable.
The newly opened hotel was spotless, and the staff were very friendly.
The surrounding area is full of villas, making it very quiet. The main road in front is a cherry blossom avenue, but unfortunately, the cherry blossom season was mostly over, and there had been rain a few days ago, so there were fewer cherry blossoms. Soaking in the hot spring at night was incredibly relaxing, perfectly washing away the fatigue of a day of sightseeing.
I plan to stay here again next time I visit Izu.
The room was neat and clean, and the breakfast was excellent with a great variety. The service was thoughtful and attentive. It's not far from the station, and nearby attractions are within walking distance. We were there just when the maple leaves were turning red, so we enjoyed beautiful scenery and colorful foliage along the way.
I had a great stay at this hotel! It’s located just a short walk from the beach, which made it super convenient for relaxing seaside moments. The view from my room was absolutely beautiful — I could see the ocean clearly, especially during sunrise and sunset.
The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. For the location and the view, I think the price was very reasonable. It’s a perfect choice for anyone looking to enjoy a beach getaway without breaking the bank.
I would definitely stay here again!
Things i like:
Location super good, just around 5mins walk to the bus terminal for the shuttle to Gotemba Premium Outlet.
Staffs are friendly and helpful
The hot bath is quite nice
Free drinks and udon
If the weather is good sky is clear, Mount Fuji can be viewed right away.
Things i don’t like:
Bathroom is compact and the toilet is so tiny that unless you have a micro D, you are going to manual drive every time you sit on it
The ventilation is weak almost none, so the room is moist and smell
🗻 Location:
The hotel offers a very clear and beautiful view of Mount Fuji. The scenery is truly stunning. However, the hotel is located a bit far from supermarkets and convenience stores, so having a car would make it much more convenient.
🍽️ Food:
On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings, there are complimentary light snacks provided, which is a very nice touch. The chef was very kind and attentive, and the food was delicious. Breakfast options were somewhat limited, but the taste was decent.
🧼 Cleanliness:
The room was very clean, and the bed was soft, warm, and comfortable.
🧴 Amenities:
Guests can freely pick up amenities near the elevator. There is also free hot and cold water available downstairs, which is very convenient.
🧺 Laundry:
The washing machine service was slightly expensive.
👩💼 Staff:
Most of the staff appeared a bit serious, but they were still professional and provided good service. However, they did not smile much or proactively give recommendations as much as I expected.

Great
The hotel's staff is pleasant and accommodating. The surroundings are peaceful. The decor is Japanese, allowing foreign guests to feel the ambience.
It was a wonderful place. Quite as I wanted. My room was with lovely details and everything well prepared. Train station was 6 minutes walk and the beach just across the street also 2 minutes walk only. With approx 15 minutes walk you could be in the next bigger area with food shops restaurants and the nice river. I could book a private 50 minute outdoor onsen time and it was awesome. The stuff are absolutely friendly and helpful. I felt so comfortable and had no wishes. I would come back.
I recently stayed at Hotel Clad during my trip to the Fuji area, and it was a wonderful experience. The location is truly unbeatable—perched on a hilltop with breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji, especially at sunrise and sunset. Waking up to that iconic silhouette was absolutely unforgettable. The hotel itself strikes a perfect balance between modern comfort and serene simplicity. My room was clean, well-appointed, and designed with a minimalist aesthetic that made it feel both calming and functional. The large windows made the most of the surrounding nature, and I appreciated the attention to detail in both the amenities and layout. One of the highlights was the onsen. It was such a treat to relax in the hot spring baths while gazing out at Mt. Fuji—an experience that felt both peaceful and luxurious. The onsen facilities were clean, well-maintained, and never overly crowded. The hotel is also conveniently connected to the Gotemba Premium Outlets, making it easy to enjoy a bit of shopping or grab a bite without venturing far. Despite this proximity, the hotel maintains a very tranquil atmosphere, which I really appreciated. Overall, Hotel Clad is a perfect base for anyone looking to explore the Fuji area in comfort. Whether you’re there to hike, shop, or simply take in the views, it delivers a serene, scenic, and satisfying stay.
We had a lovely two days stay in this hotel and on the first morning of our stay, I told my partner that I love this hotel. I had stayed at different hotels all over Japan and so far this is the best for me. The staffs are all hundred percent kind and helpful. The room they gave us is pretty comfortable and with a nice view. The free breakfast food delicious and food staff are all nice and pleasant.
Always wanted to stay here Rooms have a view over the ocean and the hot baths between the two hotels ha e superb views as well The buffet room also is right by the water but feels like a cavern in the ocean Visually stunning Some of the rooms need updating I still think the hotel on the ocean side is the place to stay
The check in experience was smooth. Counter staff were friendly, warm, welcoming and helpful, which left an excellent first impression of the place. The room was comfortable, with a good amount of space for 2 people. Loved the fridge and daily Mt Fuji water top up, and the Shizuoka green tea we can brew to wind down after a long day. Amenities were just as we needed. Makes for light travel for those who don’t want to carry cumbersome amounts of skincare and self-care products. Bonus that the bath tub was clean and perfect for a soak, which they also provided the bath salts for. Breakfast, with slight variety between days, had a good spread of local dishes, and was definitely sufficient for us to have a good start to the day. Overall, we had a great experience with Shizutetsu Prezio, and I’ll definitely come back again next time!
Spacious room for the price, great views. Location would not be convenient if no car. Take note there is no ensuite bathroom. Shower is at the onsen. Abit of a concern for those who do not prefer onsen experience.
Hotel view was lit, especially when you can see Mt Fuji on a very good day. Location is very near to the Mishima station, the lobby is on the second floor of the building next to the Mishima station. You can get your Fuji express bus tickets just outside the station. Bus to the Gotemba outlet is also around the same area. Hotel cleanliness was good. However the reception was so so, as they did not provide further help when I seek for their assistance as I had left my backpack on the Shinkansen. The highest floor has an open bath for both women and male, requires a card to reach there. Hotel room provides the necessary towels in a basket for you to bring up and the toiletries are available as well. Would be a good view to see sunrise or sunset of Mt Fuji from the high level if there’s a chance. The room TV shows you the vacancy of the open bath and washing machine but it was not accurate for the open bath.
Great place to stay. I was lucky with neighbours and with earplugs didn't hear anything. People start moving from 8-9 am, so it's not a place for late birds. Enough toilets, showers, space. I stayed there for a night and then booked another one. I would stay even longer, but they didn't have rooms. Everything is clean and good looking. Very nice place. I will stay there again if I'm in Shizuoka.
