🏖️ Panak Operated by Sono Hotel Review 🌅 1️⃣ Spacious and comfortable Superior Room - The Superior Room is 48㎡, twice the size of a regular room! It's a great place to travel with family with two beds. 2️⃣ Magnificent sunrise from the room - Every morning, a fantastic sunrise unfolds before your eyes! I was able to start my day comfortably watching the sunrise from my room. It was a truly special experience. 3️⃣ The charm of the rooftop pool - The magnificent view of the East Sea from the hotel's rooftop pool is truly spectacular! It feels really special to swim and watch the ocean. 4️⃣ Private pool villa - It was a great place to heal because there was a private pool villa. I want to visit again with my family in the pool villa next time! 5️⃣ Panoramic view - All rooms have an ocean view, so I was able to enjoy a really great view. It was a comfortable time filled with the blue of the ocean, unforgettable moments! #East Coast #Beach Hotel #Sunrise #Morning Scenery #Rooftop Pool #View Restaurant #Pool Villa #Private Relaxation #Panorama View #Resort #Family Travel

Good experience of staying in a hanok, location was a 20 minute walk to the walking street (public transport not as convenient, maybe more suitable for groups who rented a car) Breakfast provided was self service, e.g. make your own eggs/instant ramen. Apples were provided though not the freshest. First come first serve - no more milk if you arrive late (though could be limited communication skills too) We were told off for staying in the common area after checking out even though it was raining.

I booked this hotel because I liked its proximity to Hwanglidan-gil, just a 10-15 minute walk away, the availability of parking, and the variety of breakfast options. My stay was very pleasant! 🙂 The room was a bit small, but since I spent most of my time outside, it wasn't uncomfortable for sleeping at all, and it was clean and well-organized. The staff were friendly, especially the male owner, whose kindness helped me start my day on a good note. Oh, if I had one complaint, it would be the loud outdoor air conditioning unit noise from another floor, whether it was old or broken, it disturbed my sleep 🥹. Despite that, I gave it 5 stars because everything else was satisfactory besides that noise.

Lahan Hotel had a great view of the East Sea and Pohang Space Walk and was very clean and well furnished. Shower amenities (shampoo, soap and body lotion) have a stronger scent than most hotels (tabacoo scented) and may be a hit or miss for travellers. Location was also convenient, with just a short walk to Yeongildae Beach and eateries along the beach street. Many buses also have routes along the Main Street which made it easy and convenient to explore Pohang. The reception staff were also very helpful and gave us helpful advice for our itinerary and plans based on their local knowledge (:

It was remodeled, so everything was new and tidy. The room and bathroom were spacious and the amenities such as Styler Netflix were good. I misunderstood the check-in time and thank you for assigning it early. It was right in front of Bulguksa Temple and there were many places to enjoy walking around. Parking is spacious and above all, breakfast is also available, so it is good to have a good breakfast and travel with bread, cereal, juice, milk, eggs, etc. I recommend it.

It was great experience to stay at Mungyeong Stay 201 Hotel. Parking place is bit narrow and hard to park my car, however, I’ve enjoyed the facilities and great service provided by reception staffs. Thanks!

I arrived about 30 minutes early, but they helped me check in early. The room was more spacious than I expected, and as a newly built hotel, the interior and bedding were very clean, making for a comfortable stay. The generous supply of towels was also a plus. Some reviews were disappointing about the lake view, but the view of the mountains behind us and the quiet surrounding roads gave us the feeling of being in a quiet rural village. The bakery on the first floor offers a 50% discount after 6 p.m., and the bread was delicious and reasonably priced, making it a satisfying breakfast. The location was also convenient, with a Starbucks nearby and close proximity to Andong Hahoe Folk Village. I would definitely return if I get the chance.

First of all, the room was too dark. Even with the lighting adjusted, it was so dark that I couldn't see well at night. Additionally, the light switches and the placement of items were inconvenient. The shower stall, while aesthetically pleasing, was too difficult and cumbersome for older people to operate. The design seemed a bit flawed. The hotel lobby and public facilities were clean and spacious, which was nice.

SstanloonaAn amazing once-in-a-lifetime hanok experience!! The place was absolutely beautiful, and our host was the kindest person ever. Their service was amazing, even providing us with a bottle of wine, and free breakfast even though it originally didn’t come with our booking. We visited Gyeongju for 3 nights during the windy winter of February, so some of the pros & cons may not be applicable for other seasons: Pros: - Amazing location: right in the heart of Gyeongju’s trendy hanok district, it is a few minutes walk from Hwangnidan-Gil street, Cheonmachong etc. Despite this district being absolutely PACKED in the weekend, our hanok was tucked in a more cozy, quiet corner, above a restaurant. It was then really quiet in our hanok, and we surprisingly didn’t have any problem of smells from the restaurant downstairs coming up into our rooms. - Clean aesthetic that perfectly balances the vibes of a traditional hanok, and a modern hotel. Suitable for those travelling with older families, for example, who may not be able to sleep comfortably on hard floors. The interior designer for this hanok deserves a raise - Floor heating was done well, and we didn’t feel cold at all despite the winds at night during our winter stay - gigantic TV - host was very kind and easy to communicate with via WhatsApp! - appreciated that the toilet and shower were very clean and modern as well! Cons: - there weren’t any wardrobes, and not many hangers were provided to hang your clothes. It’s only a minor issue, since we had more coats for our winter wear. However, since most people are booking this hanok for short stays, it shouldnt be a big issue either - as we came here via car at night, the parking lot assigned to us was a ~2min walk away from the actual hanok, so it was a bit confusing to locate the parking lot and hanok in the dark at first. - at night, the winds in the winter get quite strong, and so like any wooden house - there will naturally be quite a bit of sound like the wooden door shaking, sound of wind etc. Coming from the city, we were a bit scared and thought there were intruders at first LOL. This isn’t a big problem (especially during less windy seasons), but I think it’s just worth keeping in mind, especially if you are very sensitive to sounds when sleeping. If these cons aren’t applicable or big issues for you, then yes I would more than recommend this hanok stay!!! It’s a rare experience, and hence worth the money imho!

JJP_in_SeoulReally convenient to be near lots of restaurants, there is a really good bakery cafe in the same building & coupons for the bar across the road. Breakfast included in the stay is basic with eggs, toast and fried rice. There is juice but no coffee. Rooms are huge as is the bath. Only minor thing was the light switches are meant to be remote controlled but that didn’t work so you have to manually go to the switches on the wall near the door. Would stay again.

GGuest UserExcellent Stay – Highly Recommended! I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel, and I can confidently say that it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive, making me feel right at home. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I truly appreciated the warm hospitality. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed, with all the amenities one could ask for. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep, and the housekeeping team did a fantastic job keeping everything clean and fresh throughout my stay. The view from my room was breathtaking, adding to the overall experience. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel’s facilities. The pool area was well-maintained and perfect for relaxation, while the fitness center had everything needed for a good workout. The on-site restaurant served delicious food with a great variety of options, and the breakfast buffet was simply outstanding – fresh, diverse, and of high quality. The location of the hotel was also a huge plus. It was conveniently situated near major attractions, shops, and public transportation, making it easy to explore the city. Despite being in a central location, the hotel itself was quiet and peaceful, providing a perfect balance between accessibility and relaxation. What truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional service. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure guests had a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail made my stay truly memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious, comfortable, and well-managed place to stay. I will definitely be returning on my next visit! Thank you to the entire team for making my trip so special.

AAnonymous UserIts a pity that the upper floor rooms got occupied so we were assigned to lower floor and the room was facing n pretty close to a construction next to the hotel and so we were worrying abt the dust and noise and a bit disappointed with the ‘seaview’ outside the terrace… luckily the front desk lady offered us another room on the same floor facing the carpark instead so the sea is really just one car away and it feels so much better :] she even offer us to check the rooftop family that comes with jacuzzi but we didnt bring out swimsuits so its out of our consideration. The room is huge and the view is superb, except 1. it d be better if theres a door/curtain for the toilet/bathroom area for privacy and also noise isolation; 2. The fridge and rubbish bin are a bit too small for a family-sized guests; 3. Lacking racks/hooks to hang clothes and towels when u shower, a bit inconvenient… However everything else is awesome, they hv clothing disinfectant machine provided in the room, a giant size tv which is good for family, amenity kits come with most of the things u need including facial cleanser/toner/moisturiser. Theres a coffee machine and ice making machine at the lobby so u can het ur everyday coffee free. Also the public terrace on 10/f is super nice n chill with the sea view, its both nice both day n night, highly recommend! There are tons of restaurants mostly grilled meat/seafood dishes in the neighbourhood as its right next to the famous beach where ppl comes here for the yeonglidae pavillion, which looks nice at night! Space walk is also nearby. The locals all do their morning exercise walk by strolling along the seashore bare feet! Theres a shoe rack storage and feet washing facilities provided so u can come enjoy bare-foot walking in empty hands and leave clean and dry! Its a nice stay and i would recommend to others!

TtoeiiyoiiThe accommodation was great. It was clean and looked new. The lobby was decorated very cutely; I loved it. Inside the room, the bed was a mattress type, but it was comfortable. However, the floor heater seemed a bit too hot. The bathroom had separate wet and dry zones, which was very good.

GGuest UserThe hotel was overall okay for a short stay. The room was reasonably clean and had the basic amenities needed. The staff was polite and the check-in and check-out process was straightforward. While nothing stood out in particular, everything worked as expected. It is a suitable option if you are looking for a simple and practical place to stay.

LlawyerzThis place surpasses expectations. It's location is convenient as it's a direct bus line to/from the ktx station. Bus stop's 30 second away. The rooms are like what I'd expect in a very fancy, 4-5 star hotel wow what an unexpected treat. It's very nice, bright, massive tv (seriously big), huge room and even bigger bathroom with a bathtub. The outlets have international outlets, they provide a rather fancy dyson-like hair dryer too. Laundry is available at 1000krw/2000krw a load, hours apply 9am-9pm, and they will provide you laundry pods at the front desk. There even a 24hrs CU convenience store next door. Really enjoyed my short stay. Very comfy. Walking distance ~15 mins to the main street and tombs.

AAlexisTiaWe had a great time staying here! We had a traditional Korean room with just the futons and no bed. The floor was nicely heated and with the window open for the cool breeze, it really made it comfortable. We were so close to everything and could get anywhere we needed to easily. The staff were very friendly! I’ll definitely stay here again if given the chance!

BBen®Super clean and spacious new villa in Hanok style. It's a bit out of town, but main attractions easily accessible with a car. Check-in was a bit difficult as we had no Korean number and communication was only possible in Korean. In the end a friendly worker helped us by calling the owner. Thanks again for his help.

GGuest UserGreat location, excellent facilities, and incredible value for money! Three of us stayed here and we were genuinely satisfied. The room was spacious, and the bedding and pillows were so comfortable that we slept like babies. Having an E-Mart24 convenience store and Ediya Cafe connected to the hotel lobby was a huge bonus! My friends and I bought some snacks, took some fun four-cut photos, and ended up spending an hour just hanging out there, haha. The owner was super friendly too! There's also a Daiso and SPAO right next door, and we could easily walk to the central market. My friends and I all agreed it was an amazing place to stay! *Ahem*!
