A perfect soulful getaway, even despite the storm! Thank you for the atmosphere, Liberty Guesthouse! My stay at Liberty Guesthouse Maldives left the warmest and brightest impressions! I want to share an honest and detailed review for future guests. Pros and Atmosphere: Friendliness and Care: A wonderfully warm, family-like atmosphere prevails here. All staff, from administrators to chefs, are always smiling and ready to help. You feel it from the very first minute. Excellent Food: The food is a separate delight! Everything is very tasty, fresh, and varied. I especially want to highlight the diverse fish – it was cooked perfectly. It was so delicious that I personally called the chef to express my admiration and gratitude. This is top-notch! Guests from the neighboring guesthouse, who didn't opt for a meal plan, went to cafes, but as they told me, it was all tuna there, and they wanted to try different kinds of fish. My guesthouse served various fish, and it was always very delicious, especially if you squeezed some lime on top – absolutely delightful. Cleanliness and Order: The room and grounds are impeccably clean. It's nice that everything works: outlets, lights, air conditioning, and plumbing. No surprises. Important note: the outlets are non-standard, an adapter is really needed. I bought an adapter at Malé Airport; I didn't check in other shops. Local Island – An Immersive Cultural Experience: Staying on a local island is a unique experience. It's not an isolated resort but an opportunity to see the real life of Maldivians. The island has playgrounds, and domestic animals; I occasionally heard roosters crowing in the mornings. Pros: Authenticity, the opportunity to walk through the streets, visit local cafes and shops near the guesthouse. I really liked that you can book excursions directly at the reception – everything is well-organized. I went snorkeling and swam with nurse sharks. Cons/Features: The island is Muslim, with its own rules. It's important to know and respect this. There's a mosque near the guesthouse, and you'll periodically hear the call to prayer, which is quite loud. For tourists, there's a beautiful separate beach (bikini beach) where you can sunbathe and swim as usual. It's fenced off with a green fence. However, the entrance there is quite coral-y. And in the lagoon next to the hotel (in the area where locals live), you can only swim in a T-shirt that covers your shoulders and shorts/knee-length bottoms. The island is small and not particularly touristy. It's like a small village; you can easily walk around the entire island. Few people were swimming. I was prepared for this, so I didn't feel uncomfortable. It's part of the culture. In the evenings, they go octopus hunting during the low tide. Transfer, of course, is a test of endurance: Yes, it takes about 1.5 hours by boat from the airport. Unfortunately, I was unlucky – I got caught in a strong storm, and the journey was very difficult. Many people got seasick, had to hold onto handrails, and brace themselves with their feet. It was a bit scary and tough. This is a factor you can't control, but you should be mentally prepared for it. In good weather, it's just a regular boat trip. Thank God, the weather was good on the way back, and I was warmly escorted to the port, helped onto the boat, waved goodbye, and reached Malé very calmly and comfortably. The boat has bags and water. Conclusion: I really enjoyed my stay at Liberty Guesthouse! This is a place for those who want to experience local life and cuisine and are looking for a peaceful, heartfelt vacation with excellent service. I definitely want to return in the future and wholeheartedly recommend this guesthouse! Thank you for your hospitality ❤️

It is a very nice resort. We stayed 6 nights in a sunset water villa. The room might be a bit dated, but it is fully equipped, in good condition, and housekeeping is excellent. Definitely recommended! The sunset there is fantastic, and being able to step straight into the sea from your villa is lovely. Many fish swim past, sometimes small sharks and rays, and we even saw turtles right under the villa! An advantage of a water villa is the Southern Star restaurant, which is truly fantastic. A huge selection and very high-quality food. The staff is very welcoming and does their utmost to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Compliments to Neen and Anwar in particular! In general, all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Excursions are well organized, and we saw all the marine animals we were looking for (manta rays, whale sharks, turtles, dolphins); also highly recommended! The only downside to the resort is the reception. Communication is poor, employees contradict each other, and they are not really helpful. We received a message to come and pay a bill; subsequently, they claimed to know nothing about it and sent us away, yet we received another message saying the bill was still outstanding. We had to ask for information about our transfer three times (they said they would inform us, but we are still waiting for their update). You have to chase them up yourself, which is simply not good for a resort like this, and unlike other departments, they just don't radiate any passion. A failing grade in this area. Otherwise, highly recommended!

We would never return to this hotel again. The worst thing is the breakfasts; they're simply edible. They serve incredibly spicy pasta, beans in sauce, sausages made of paper, waffles made of paper, juice made of Yupi powder, toast with only jam and terrible butter, watermelon cut 1 cm by 1 cm, an undercooked omelet, and only black tea bags. And nothing else! It's simply unbearable, and every day we get nothing but this. By the sixth day, I was ready to cry. The rooms are barely cleaned; my face towel was changed once and only before checkout. My foot towel was changed every three days. One beach towel was taken and not returned. Even though we left a tip for cleaning every day. We asked for a discount on a hotel excursion because it was our birthday – we laughed, smiled, and got no discount. Did the hotel congratulate us on our birthday? Of course not. The cleaner knocked on the door, and only he offered verbal greetings. We came for fins and masks—for $10—but they were all gone, and they were all taken on excursions. The only pro and con is that this hotel offers the most expensive excursions, but the boats are new, uncrowded, and very fast. The captains are the best; we were always the first to arrive at the locations. There's a pool on the roof, but no one fills it. Construction starts every day except Friday at 8 a.m.; you won't get any sleep if your windows overlook the city.

The service is very good. At present, there is a Chinese lady who works here. The food ordered in the restaurant is 30-50 US dollars. Some are cafeterias that are about 200 US dollars per person. The island is not big, but the room facilities are also a bit old, especially those made of wood. The facilities can be generally

It is a nice place, room was really spacious and comfortable. They also have fins for snorkling, breakfast was good and plenty. 2 small things: Checkin Time on Tip.com should be adjusted was for me only 2:30pm but say 12. Besides that also the exchange fee is terrible. For 12 USD I paid 240 which is 50 too much. So basically 3 USD lost. Imagine that on a bigger amount.

A wonderful hotel, a pleasant friendly atmosphere, recommend especially to amateurs of active rest. There are only six rooms, silence, calm and order (no hotels and tourists nearby). Rooms are large and clean, their beach. On the biuini beach 15 minutes a pleasant walk. Menu for any taste, time is unlimited, quality is excellent, cheap and very delicious. Fresh water, coffee, tea 24 hours a day unlimited. Transfer from/to airport. Equipment for snorkeling is provided, the instructor trains and controls. Every day, tours are organized to different locations (isles, reefs, resorts, Shark Point, manta Point), prices are very loyal , especially compared to other hotels as the hotel has its boat. 24-hour attention of staff to your wishes and enthusiasm. I recommend to lovers of quiet and quality rest.

- No one met us at the airport/pier, it turns out the girl was standing at the counter doing nothing, not even suspecting that we would be there, judging by her reaction, they were told the time in advance - They promised that we would fly straight to the hotel, in the end they sent other people, as the employee said, because they have a lot of luggage, and you don’t, wait, shock… - They answer your email once a day, you ask a clear question, they ask again, I have no desire to communicate with them at all - (!) At 17:30 they put up a smoke curtain around the island, this is some kind of ******, against mosquitoes. You can understand everything, but why is this done in the middle of the day? Can't they do it at night or early in the morning? - In an Italian restaurant where fish swim, the waiter said not to throw food for the fish, although they swim there because they are fed. What kind of trash is this? - You need to make a reservation for this Italian restaurant, for this you need to write in the application that is given upon check-in. No one answers there. - One day they called with cleaning at 8:55 in the morning. Their system does not show that the card is inserted and people are inside. Is everything ok? - When the staff rides bikes along the road, it can be heard in the villas on the water - The game area needs repair, it looks old. - Pros. Delicious food: breakfast/dinner buffet and Italian restaurant. Clean water and beaches, no garbage on the territory. - Summary. Reception, communication with clients - this is the worst side, they are somewhere flying in the clouds, and this is the face of the hotel. Thais are different, they are hard workers, they work: the Thai girl who meets people is great, also the Thai at the entrance to the buffet and the Thai cook are great.

Full Board service includes all three meals everyday, which is a buffet at a fixed restaurant, separate for beach and water villas. The food range is quite extensive and definitely not running of options to keep the appetite going. Beautiful sea with some I believe are resident stingrays and sharks as they come by for the feeding show everyday. The two main things I will pick on is 1) most daily activities are for kids 2) the cleaning of the hotel room toilet needs to be improved.

This was my wife and I's first time in the Maldives, and it was also our honeymoon. We chose Centara as our hotel for this trip. From the moment we arrived at Male Airport, we felt the warmth of the staff. I especially commend housekeeper Shifan for his dedication to guest care and professionalism. He also visited our room every day, rain or shine, to make sure we were comfortable. His actions were truly heartwarming. The hotel's facilities were comprehensive, but our favorite was the water sports center. My wife and I both enjoy diving, and the hotel offers a wide variety of snorkeling excursions and water activities. The staff is attentive and helpful in providing recommendations tailored to your needs. For those who enjoy diving, the island's dive center has excellent diving spots and a shipwreck site.

It was my first time in the Maldives but the island was beautiful and Mr. Nashid was also really supportive and helpful with all my requests. He met us at the ferry location in Male and made sure we got on the right boat. He was also very communicative and responsive with WhatsApp. This was very important as they made us feel comfortable and safe. We were greeted by Joe Biden at the dock and he helped us with all the small things that we requested. The room was very clean and we had a small garden/terrace area where they would provide us with a Maldivian breakfast or a continental breakfast. I absolutely loved my time there and will always remember my time here. I highly recommend that you stay here. They also provided us with towels, swimming towels, and a wide variety of excursions. They also provided us water every day. We visited different islands but my partner won’t stop talking about our stay here.

Lovely little hotel on Dhigurah Island, helped us have a fantastic stay on ”Local” Island. Communicated with the hotel via WhatsApp (phone number listed in hotel information) prestay. Helped with the booking of the boat transfer from Male to Dhigurah. Every interaction with the team at Whaleshark Beach was with an engaged, smiling team member. The team made for a very relaxed, carefree holiday. The restaurant meals were delicious and good value. When taking a full day boat excursion, the packed lunches were just as tasty. With the early morning boat transfer back to Male, they proactively offered a takeaway breakfast. Whaleshark Beach is definitely a great choice for visiting the natural beauty that is Dhigurah and the surrounding marine life.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in room 106. Pros: Beautiful room, nice bathroom. Everything you need is included: bath and beach towels, robes, kettle, refrigerator, air conditioning, comfortable bed, and clean linens. Daily cleaning. Breakfast buffet (monotonous, but I didn't go hungry: scrambled eggs, waffles, instant coffee, oranges, and stewed vegetables). Cons: View from room 106 of a construction site. Noisy from 7 AM to 9 PM. The TV turns on, but I couldn't watch anything (channels and YouTube wouldn't load).
