Emerald Hotel & Restaurant
3.3/510 Reviews
The location with sea view is very beautiful, provided you have a room on the first floor with balcony. This, of course, always makes a certain wind, while the street is going on before the hotel. The hotel has seen better times and than everything was new or intact, it was definitely a good address. However, since the object does not experience a little maintenance and maintenance, everything is very improvised until it is left to itself and to ruin. That's bad. It's a lot broken, unmanaged and shady. Each furniture is taken with, installations are defect, no longer available or disclosed to the decline. It's misleading and laughing. As a guest, a large portion of humor and tranquility is necessary to meet certain deficiencies. These are so numerous that I do not list them. Breakfast is frugal and short. The staff is absolutely friendly and helpful, an absolute highlight. Will the owner break it and let something different and new emerge? This impression is emerging when many daily guests should land by cruise ship at any time. Until that time the restaurant and the Chinese take-away run as one and guests will still stay here because of the lack of alternatives in time of shock.
Tanoa International Dateline Hotel

The place in Tonga is very small, and there is no good hotel. This is the best hotel in Tonga, and it is not expensive. If the Chinese really want to travel to Tonga, it is recommended to stay here. It is safe and secure. sea.

Seaview Lodge and Restaurant
4.2/537 Reviews
The Seaview Lodge was such a charming little hidden gem with gorgeous view of the blue-green ocean and we loved the authentic, traditional, rustic vibe of the lodge adorned with whale statues! We also loved the service from the staff, who were very hospitable and friendly and the food here was excellent, as were the drinks (especially the pina colada and blue wave cocktail!) and they did not hesitate to arrange for a most wonderful massage at the Island Glow facility. Beach towel services were helpful as we requested one before heading out to explore the beautiful beach of Tonga and they do have a washing and drying service for your wetsuits/swimsuits. We stayed in the regular room, which were equipped with AC and TV and a nice shower facility and the bed were comfy. However, the Ocean View Room which we stayed in later, was the real highlight of the show and we wished we could've stayed in the Ocean View Room longer. The balcony was definitely one of our favorite part, as we loved drinking tea (yes they provide a boiling pot) as we looked over the balcony, with an unobstructed view of the stunning ocean. The location is definitely ideal for exploring Nuku'alofa as it is only merely a 10-15 minutes walk from the city and for walking along the ocean (there is a wonderful little trail outside just across from the Seaview Lodge). If we were to return to Tonga, we would definitely be staying at this resort again, for the convenience and the view and their restaurant are the only one that is open on Sundays, which means everything else is closed on Sunday! There is also parking across and this place checks off every of our needs and we are a very satisfied customer of this facility. Will definitely return again!!

House of Tonga

Honestly I was left pleasantly surprised. Everything about this place was perfect. The breakfast was decent, the room was super clean, they had extra duvets, the staff were proactive and extremely helpful. I have traveled quite a lot for work and there are two hotels that have ever stood out to me, this is one of them. They had fast wi-fi, a nice desk for me to do my work, the view was beautiful and the room was perfectly stocked. The only thing it lacks is a TV but really not the end of the world. Although I do wish they would reconsider their check-out time, 10am is super early, at least 11am would be a bit ideal. Other than that, fantastic stay!
