Achi Village in Nagano Prefecture is famous for its beautiful starry skies! Did you know that Namiai Park, a park for stargazing, is located in the village? On a clear day at the end of October, I was able to enjoy a star-filled sky. 🌠 And, amazingly, I even saw more than three shooting stars! [How to Enjoy✨] - Join one of the two stargazing events (approximately an hour) held daily to learn about the stars, listen to stories about the constellations, and enjoy the view. Afterward, you're free to spend any time you like in the park until closing time. The park closes at midnight from April to December, and at 10:00 PM from January to March. - If you reserve the viewing deck, you can enjoy the stars in a private, walled space in the reclining seats provided. Have a wonderful time! [Caution⚠️] - Even in October, I needed a winter coat. 🥶 Check the temperature carefully beforehand and make sure you're prepared for the cold! By the way, you can rent down coats for a fee. - In the park areas other than the viewing deck, there are regular benches but no reclining seats. Hirugami Onsen I stayed at the Yutari no Sato Inaka Hotel. Even the Emperor has stayed here, and there were photos of him there in the lobby. The parking lot was a bit tricky, slanted like a service area, and it was pretty full. There's a morning market and a free foot bath nearby, so I recommend strolling around the area. 🦵♨️ The autumn leaves right in front of the hotel entrance were a stunning red, and I think it was the most beautiful foliage I've seen this year. 🍁 The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a wide variety of options!

Achi Village, located on the border between Nagano and Gifu Prefectures, is known for its "best starry sky in Japan," but recently it has become more well-known as "Hanamomo no Sato." (I'm one of those who only recently found out about this...) There are 5,000 flowering peaches of three varieties, red, white, and pink, planted in Hanamomo no Sato. Unlike regular peaches, flowering peaches are not edible, but are for decoration, so local people took the trouble to plant them. I'm very grateful. The flowering peaches that bloom in Hirugami Onsen in early April will increase in altitude over time, and bloom in Hanamomo no Sato in late April. The flowering peaches planted in large numbers on both sides of the river and in the mountains are truly magnificent, and I'm speechless. It really feels like a paradise. To take a photo of the whole of Hanamomo no Sato, you have to go from the top of the cliff on the other side. Before crossing the bridge with the carp streamers, take the road in front of Cafe Yamanaka on the opposite side of the road and walk for about 10 minutes up a steep hill (during this period, cars are not allowed to enter). #FuriTabi The first snowfall on Mt. Okawa! The first snowfall on the mountain. It's difficult to access too far into the mountains, so we entered the mountain at Okawa, which can be accessed directly from the main national highway, Route 153. The national highway was well cleared of snow, so normal tires were fine. As we continued to climb, the snow gradually increased. Since it was new snow, it was fluffy and beautiful. I don't think you often get to climb at a time like this. As we approached the peak, the vegetation changed. We were able to see the frost-covered trees known as "white sheep." As it continued to fall, the snow melted and turned to mud, and unfortunately we returned from another world to reality. I wonder if there will be another time like this to climb... Hirugami Onsen's Achi Village is renowned as Japan's number one starry sky village. From late April to mid-May, it transforms into a veritable paradise of peach blossoms. Near Hirugami Onsen, a 4-kilometer trail is lined with over 5,000 peach trees in shades of red and white. Adjacent to the trail is National Route 256, which connects the Ina Valley and the Kiso Road. Along this 40-kilometer stretch, tens of thousands of peach trees bloom, earning it the nickname 'Peach Blossom Road'.
