🚲Cycling from Yasu to Aki
I met up with a friend at the cycling terminal and set off for Aki's Shirasu Donburi. 🚲
It had been a while since I last rode a bike, so I was a little nervous, but
the greenery and ocean views along the way were beautiful, and the ride under the clear skies was incredibly pleasant. ✨
The cool, refreshing breeze through the tunnels along the way was a delight. ☺️
The Shirasu Donburi I had was absolutely delicious, and it completely blew away all my fatigue. 🐟
On the way back, I enjoyed some grilled eggplant ice cream to recharge my slightly tired body.
It was a day that refreshed my soul while surrounded by nature. 🌿

Shikoku's Hidden Pristine Nature, the Scenic Ioki Cave
Located in Aki City, which can be reached by heading east from Kōchi Station, the Ioki Cave offers a glimpse of ancient, untouched nature. After alighting at Shioki Station in Aki and walking a short distance, visitors are greeted with a breathtaking landscape that seems to echo the setting of 'Princess Mononoke.'
Though the journey to get there may be challenging, the view alone makes it worth the effort. If asked to choose the most revisit-worthy spot in Kōchi Prefecture, this place would undoubtedly top the list.

Hirome Market & Dessert! Unexpected Taiwanese sweets🍮
📍 After a look at Hirome Market, I went back to the hotel and met up with my mother 🤗✨
It's been a while since I've been back to Japan, so I'm looking forward to traveling around Japan with her!
And for dessert, it was "douhua"! 😂
Even though I came from Taiwan, I was surprised to get Taiwanese sweets (lol)
But the douhua I ate in Japan was also delicious, so I was a little moved😋
🍡 It's fun to make unexpected discoveries while traveling!
Have you all had any delicious "foreign food" that you ate in Japan?
JR Shikoku Green Travelogue! A trip on a sightseeing train🚃✨

[Kochi] Mysterious sight: Fern colony at Iokido
📍Location: Fern Colony of Iokido
Located in Aki City, Kochi Prefecture, it is not well known, but it is a highly recommended hidden spot!
There is a parking lot, so it is easy to get there by car👌🏻 ̖́-︎
At the information center across the road, you can rent boots for free and there are toilets!
The entrance is a cave and it feels scary, but once you get through the cave, you can see a mysterious sight with more than 40 types of ferns👀
There seems to be a hiking trail, but the place in the photo is just after the cave, so it is a place that you can enjoy even if you just take a quick look when you have time!
The footing is made of stone, so I recommend wearing comfortable shoes that you are used to walking in🌈

[A natural Ghibli world created by nature]
📍Iokido, Kochi Prefecture
Iokido is located on the road just outside the city center, heading east along National Route 55 in Aki City.
Stepping out of the concrete road,
you will see a view that makes you feel as if you have traveled back in time to tens of thousands of years ago.
This cave is a natural sea cave formed by wave erosion when the surrounding area was the sea,
and is about 5m high, 4m wide, and 40m long.
At the back of the cave is a valley, and water that is usually enough to soak your feet flows out.
You can also see shell fossils on the walls of the cave.
*We recommend wearing easy-to-move-in sneakers or hiking boots when walking around (long boots are useful during long periods of rain or the day after heavy rain).
Sandals are not recommended in the summer as there is a possibility of encountering vipers.

A lover's sanctuary in Aki City, Kochi Prefecture, is located next to the Daisendo Station. There are Iogi Port and Daisen Cape here, as well as a natural trail where you can enjoy the sea view. If you go there at sunset, you can take pictures of the setting sun. It's very romantic. However, the shops at the Daisendo Station are closed, so you can't replenish supplies or have a cup of coffee to enjoy the sunset!

Iogi Cave on the Shikoku Pilgrimage
The natural cave "Iogi Cave" next to Iogi Station has an excellent ecology and gurgling streams. It was almost dark on the day I visited, and I was the only one along the road. I walked to the narrowest part and turned back, which was a pity! Kochi Prefecture should attach great importance to this scenic spot. The cave is well preserved, there is no garbage at all, and there is a large free parking lot in addition to free admission!

🇯🇵 [Kochi Prefecture] Let's look for shell fossils! Ioki Cave! (^^)
A sea cave about 5m high, 3m wide, and 40m long. Shell fossils can be seen in the cave where 3 million year old strata remain (^^) After passing through the cave, you will reach the bottom of a valley where a rock wall covered with moss stands on one side and about 40 kinds of native ferns grow thickly. It is rare for several kinds of ferns to coexist in one place, and in 1926, this fern colony was designated a national natural monument. In the sunlight filtering through the trees, you will be soothed by the sounds of nature, such as the babbling of a stream and the gentle breeze! (^^)

[Kochi] Do you know Iokido?
This natural sea cave was formed by wave erosion when the surrounding area was the sea. It is a cave consisting of a fern colony designated as a national natural monument and strata deposited about 3 million years ago.
It reminds me of Antelope Canyon in the United States.
The ferny valley beyond the cave reminds me of Princess Mononoke.
There was little rain and little water at the time, but it still felt tough to walk in normal shoes.
There are two parking lots facing the main road, but there is an information center on the parking lot across the road where you can rent boots for free.
It is definitely more enjoyable to rent them, so be sure to stop by before you go.

📍 Karahama Rest Area/Kochi
Karahama Rest Area, a scenic spot in Kochi Prefecture⛱️
It was about a 50-minute drive from Kochi Airport and about 8 minutes from Iokido, another tourist spot🚘
It is located along National Route 55, where you can see the entire Karahama beach😆
The free parking lot is large enough to park about 4.5 cars, and there are men's and women's restrooms✨
It seems to have been newly built, so it's beautiful😄
The cute benches are great as photo spots, and on sunny days the blue sea and blue sky were very beautiful🕊️
