Merry Christmas, Strasbourg ❤️
Christmas is not here yet, but I have already gone to enjoy the end of the Christmas atmosphere there first
After the bird's breath in Paris
Still went because I don't like people whose plans are disrupted ~
Next let’s take a look at Strasbourg!
The same photos are arranged in order except for the first cover
The first day❤️
In the evening finally arrived at Strasbourg after all the hard work the first stop was to go to their cathedral
(Because my accommodation is closest to that
It just so happened that the first day was raining, I actually don't recommend you to go when it's raining
Because that place is actually very cold relatively remote and considered a rural town, and then the fog produced is actually very heavy
The weather was 4 degrees when I went there (luckily I bought UNIQLO in Paris).
Then because it was too cold the church was too dark without light, foggy and too heavy
The whole scene was very difficult to shoot, I bought a hot apple juice at the Christmas market and temporarily found restaurant Les chauvins, a restaurant recommended by locals, on Google Maps
Pizza I think I should listen to the clerk's recommendation
It's actually quite delicious, their thin pizza is considered pizza
Then their white wine is super bursting and delicious
Must order when you go over there!
Even though I have gastroenteritis, I still had to eat some must-eats, so I ordered duck liver
Their duck liver is made like slightly solidified peanut butter, but without losing the flavor of duck liver, it’s worth trying
Even people like me, who don't like to eat liver, found it quite smooth
Later I couldn't finish it, so I packed it back
The next day❤️
The next itinerary was to go to that cathedral the next morning, because I really walked super close probably within 10 minutes
Go and see what it looks like during the day without seeing clearly at night
The Christmas market doesn't open until about 10pm
Until then you can take a photo with the church
But I finished shooting probably the Christmas market was also open, so I stopped by
The next day I bought another hot apple juice and soft crepe 😋 delicious!
The apple juice of this family has Chinese herbs such as star anise. I think it tastes better and has a local feel
Lots of cute little things, and then nearby are souvenir shops
Souvenirs buy their child-giving chickadees and the famous local Christmas fairy legend
Then I waited for another colleague of mine to come here to meet me, who was going back and forth that day
I think randomly looking for a restaurant, I later learned this one is Michelin, I highly do not recommend this one restaurant
There was an old bald head with a very bad service attitude, and an Asian-faced girl with a not very good service attitude
Then their photos were everywhere on the internet and I was not allowed to take them
Just the standard 78 French :)
But the owner at least has a good service attitude and has come to inquire about my needs
In other words, the key food part⚠️
A plate is chicken cream pasta
A plate of salmon sauerkraut, if you have never eaten the sauerkraut here must try! Probably to the point where you won’t want to eat again after eating it once
It is very different from Asian sauerkraut, sour, sweet and salty, I really don't know how to describe it. Let's try it yourself!
Mainly too little salmon and then too much sauerkraut, and his main course was salmon on top of a lot of sauerkraut without any noodles or rice beaten underneath as a base
Both main dishes were not delicious 😅
The only delicious thing is the middle one round and round after cooking green grilled clam meat (it feels like clear sauce)
It was really quite delicious, and their white wine was not as good as the restaurant I went to on the first night!
Here comes the point...this restaurant is Michelin! (Kalmezer Mansion)
But the restaurant I went to on my first day wasn’t Michelin! ! ! ! 🙄 Dumbfounded
I also think the second one is really not excellent, looking through Google reviews to find out it is a Michelin restaurant
He divides the new seating area from the old seating area
Because I was heading on a temporary trip, I was placed in the new seating area but their feature was actually in the old seating area and I was stopped when I was shooting the ceiling in the old seating area
He said he was afraid that I would shoot someone. I told him that I was just shooting the ceiling, and then he still didn't allow me to shoot. It was a very unreasonable request, and then I saw other people shooting🙄
One advantage of the new seating area is that his seats are larger because of his newly expanded ones
On the seating area as Google reviews very small very urgent and very narrow
So I think if you have to go you can eat in the new seating area and then go to the old seating area to take pictures
The Google rating is only 4.2, which is not very high, you can decide for yourself
I would go because I read the reviews and there were more than 10,000 people heading to me to go, I did not look at the ratings
(To add the Google rating of the restaurant the first night I went was 4.8
I went entirely because of the features of the ceiling, as a result he told me I couldn't take pictures, and I was speechless at the moment ==
Because the photos here are limited, only 20 can be placed
So we paddled through the Christmas market section quickly
I have to say that Europe really values Christmas home decoration The Christmas decoration atmosphere is very warm, and then looked at the prices selling second-hand stores or clothes are actually quite cheap
I think maybe at about the same price point you can only buy used in Rome, but you can get brand new in Strasbourg
We walked around the Bishop's Seminar and then walked to the nearby Shingdom Church over only less than 5 minutes to get there quickly, and then the Christmas market underneath was really too small, so we strolled there in less than 10 minutes after taking pictures and checking in, we quickly changed places to Gutenberg Square
Key point⚠️ He doesn't have a carousel like what was found on the Internet. There is no carousel this year in 2026 (the Internet is really good at spreading rumors).
Next... Gutenberg Square is even more boring, you can really ignore it without going :)
We came back to change for afternoon tea, because it was still too cold locally recommended afternoon tea dessert shop I personally do not recommend, because it is really too sweet
(I am an ant person myself, and I find it very sweet
It's called Donatien maître éclair
But I think the service attitude is okay (but I am more disappointed that it is more of a local Internet beauty restaurant feel because it is more modern decoration pink girly style layout)
To add a very important point⚠️
It doesn't get dawn until 8am on this side of Strasbourg
It gets completely dark at 4pm, so you have absolutely nowhere to go after 4pm! ! !
It has a more small-town and rural feel, without decorative lights like ancient buildings in Rome or elsewhere
You can only go to the Christmas market (European life is really boring).
The next night I drank their local hot orange juice ~ I think you can try it because their hot orange juice or any hot drink adds anise or some Chinese herbal ingredients
I don't find it bad because I don't reject the taste of Chinese medicine
Then by the way I bought a local specialty mulled wine glass, which I think is super cute must buy
Europeans will also have people who specialize in collecting hot wine glasses ❤️ really super cute 😍
End of Gutenberg Square After eating a small dessert
We grabbed the last time of the sunset probably 3:30 or so to rush to Little France
Same walk super close about 5 minutes to get there
I find it quite disappointing, I think the Little French Quarter Il Riverside is better to look at and shoot
It was only 2 minutes from Little France to the river very close
Here is a very regrettable point, in fact, there are many shops near the Christmas market specializing in selling Christmas biscuits or small breads, I think we have to take advantage of that time to buy see to buy do not hesitate, because I was hesitant at that time caused me now a little regret their talk of celebrities and biscuits are super cute
The third day❤️
Specially leave for the citrus orchard after seven o'clock
I also highly recommend this place, although the fog is heavy, it is really super beautiful
It's a lot like the kind of park in a manor you have when making movies in Europe
You can see the strange tree in picture 14. After opening it, I rushed to the next place is their St. Paul's church (which is the building with two pointed tops).
The scenery is really beautiful
I later learned that Strasbourg is actually very close to Switzerland...
It has the reputation of Little Switzerland ❤️
Next I headed to Klebel Square
Since it was almost time to have a meal, but I didn’t want to eat at a restaurant anymore, so I planned to eat at the market and see something else
Ahhhh 🔥 I really super recommend this German pork leg (I saw the whole Christmas market in Strasbourg only they sell it) a portion of 20 euros plus potatoes
It was actually really very full, I didn’t even finish half of it
I just happened to meet two other couples who were traveling, they had just come from Germany
They say German pork legs are terrible, but this family's pork legs are really delicious! ! !
I was confused if one person would not be able to finish the meal (others are two people a portion) but he has a packing bag is very 😌
The night of the third day because the intestines were almost recovered
I bought hot red wine to drink the same is added anise super cool recommendation 🔥
Then head to the Covo Bridge, which is best in the afternoon
He just lit the lamp and it was still bright so he could take pictures
End the journey ❤️
The above are all the Christmas markets in the town ~ #FrenchChristmas
(Because of this kind of place I don't want to waste money on a second trip)
The most recommended is the number one Christmas market, Clerbel Square
Next comes the holy under the cathedral
