Lake District National Park Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Aira force and Gowbarrow park are around 155km away from Manchester United, you can take the train to the penrith station then there is a bus from the station to the destination. It is near Ullswater with a parking facility and etc. Aira force is an 18th century design landscape once owned by the dukes of norfolk, now owned by the National trust. The main force falls 70 feet from below a stone. You can borrow the boots so you can walk along the water. I took the 45 minutes trail because time is limited, i follow a 3 days 2 night tour from rabbies. If you took Gowbarrow fell trail that is around 3 hour walk at beautiful landscape with fencing to prevent the animal coming out, you will be award a beautiful view.
Driving through the lake district in our van was so memorable, but what we loved most was stopping at lakes like this to shoot the autumn colours!

Backyard Lake District National Park
The Lake District, known as the 'backyard' by the British themselves, is located on the northwest coast of England. In addition to the highest mountain range in the UK, Pennines, beautiful canyons Dales, simple small towns, and extensive coastline, there are also 16 sparkling lakes. The unparalleled beauty of the world has inspired many writers and poets. Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter have written beautiful poems and articles here.
The most famous of the Lake District National Park in the UK is Lake Windermere. Here, there are unforgettable lake and mountain views and tranquil and comfortable rural scenery. The scattered lakes and green hills make Windermere a popular tourist destination in England. The tour of the Lake District is mainly centered on the three famous towns in the Lake District, Windermere, Ambleside, and Grasmere.
If you go to the Lake District, you usually have to take a train to the town of Windermere first, and then take a local bus to other towns and attractions. You can also choose a one-day tour of the Lake District National Park, which includes a train journey + Lake Windermere cruise + Hawkshead village and so on. There are also the best hiking and climbing routes in England, and you should also travel in groups.

Hawkshead Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Hawkshead is an ancient township that had flourished since norse times. This tiny village is still in the same collection of white paint houses. The 17th century church of St Michael stands high looking over the village and has a fine view to Esthwaite water which is 2 kilometers 25 minutes away. The old grammar school was found in 1585 by the Archbishop of York. The ground floor classroom retains many old desks including the poet Willam Wordsworth. No cars are allowed inside, outside got a big paid carpark, or you can take 505 buses either from Kendal or Ambleside.
Little Langdale Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Little Langdale 4 km light hiking
Originally planned to walk around Ambleside, but the parking lot was full when we went, so we turned to Little Langdale~ The scenery is really beautiful!
👣Lowfield House (parking point)-Slater's Bridge-Cathedral Caveā-Lowfield House
🤩You will be surprised to see the end of the river
🤩Encountered a group of landscape photographers, followed them to find the best observation point of Slater's Bridge
🚶About 4 kilometers, 1.5 hours
🅿️Indeed, I did not see a public parking lot, we, like many cars, all parked at Lowfield House
Rydal Water Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
🏞️ Rydal Water:Mirror of Lakeside Tranquilit
Embarked on a lakeside journey at Rydal Water, where the reflections of surrounding hills painted a mesmerizing watercolor. "Rippling Elegance" unfolded as I strolled along the peaceful shores, the gentle lapping of waves orchestrating a soothing melody. Ancient trees leaned gracefully over the water, their branches creating a natural canopy. As I reached the western shore, the secluded Rydal Cave added a touch of mystery to the landscape. The lake, cradled in the embrace of the fells, became not just a body of water but a lyrical symphony where nature's quietude played in harmony with the enchanting scenery. #RydalWaterMelody #LakesideTranquility 🚣♂️🍃

Rothay Manor Hotel Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Rothay Manor Hotel
#thingstodo
We had the pleasure of a Xmas break in a Pavilion Garden Suite ( Grisedale ) with some friends in the next door suite. One word - stunning. From the moment we arrived on Xmas Eve until the moment we left on the 27th it was simply superb. Every single member of staff was so very helpful and very, very friendly. There were Xmas presents in our room for both ourselves and our dogs - simply brilliant touch.
We have stayed at many dog friendly establishments throughout the years and I can honestly say that Rothay Manor was head and shoulders above the rest.
They are genuinely dog friendly and dog lovers.
The Pavilion Garden Suites are absolutely ideal for dog owners and dogs are welcome throughout the Hotel (except the Restaurant) and can even dine with you in the Brathay Room.
The food throughout the stay was amazing - from the Xmas Eve tasting menu to the Xmas Day Dinner to the Boxing Day a la carte menu we simply could not fault either food or the service (not forgetting the brilliant breakfasts either ). Chef and the kitchen staff clearly know how to cook and present quality meals.
The bar / lounge area is extremely comfortable with real fires too. We had a very pleasant conversation with the barman as he explained the differences between the various types of cognac on offer.
We were made thoroughly welcome and made to feel at home - we loved it.
I can highly recommend and we will definitely return. Sensational break at a sensational Hotel.
