This time, I've compiled a record of my own solo trip to India (New Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur) to help those considering a trip to India in the future. ✈️New Delhi: • Location: India's capital. • Mindset: You'll be approached and solicited a lot, so be sure to have the courage to say "no" or ignore them. • Transportation & Meals: I didn't use tuk-tuks and ate only in the hotel. • Other: Restrooms are hard to find, so it's best to use them before you go out. 🏛️Museums Visited in Delhi In Delhi, I mainly visited museums because I love history. 1. Gandhi Smriti Museum • Impressions: This was Gandhi's final restroom and the site of his assassination. The museum is well-maintained, and there weren't many people there when I visited. • Address: 5, Tees January Marg, New Delhi 110011, India • Directions: Approximately a 12-minute walk from Lok Kalyan Marg Station on the Yellow Line. 2. National Museum, New Delhi • Comments: It's larger than expected, and the museum features a wide range of exhibits on Indian history and culture (Harappan artifacts, Buddhist art, weapons, decorative items, etc.), so it takes time to see everything. I recommend it to anyone interested in Indian history. It truly lives up to its reputation as a "World Heritage Site that everyone should see at least once in their lifetime." • The sight of the white marble lit up by the morning sun was breathtakingly beautiful. 🏯Jaipur: An otherworldly experience in the Pink City! Jaipur was the most enjoyable part of this trip. It's a city filled with history and color, and it was incredibly photogenic. 📍Spots visited and their addresses 1. I was the only Japanese person in the room, so it was a little lonely, but the Indian person sitting next to me was very friendly and taught me a lot about India during the flight. (It's especially reassuring to have a man with experience traveling with you.) However, if you are "perfectly thorough" in your security awareness, it's possible to enjoy your trip safely! To do so, thorough research beforehand is essential. Knowing information about fraud groups will help protect you. ⚠️ Real-Life Crime Stories I heard real-life stories of scams I experienced while traveling in India from people I met on the road. • Example: I was approached in the street, and while chatting at a cafe, I suddenly lost consciousness. • Result: All my money and passport were taken. (Sleeping pills had been put in my bag.) 💁 Precautions and Specific Strategies from a Woman's Perspective My basic travel philosophy is "safety first." I recommend you also refer to my other article, "Real Strategies for Solo Female Travelers Abroad," but this time I'll focus specifically on my trip to India. 1. Don't Trust Anyone Many scammers try to appeal to your emotions, but as a non-local, I can't judge. So I basically didn't trust anyone and responded firmly. 2. Only paid for and booked transportation in advance. I used Uber and hotel-arranged cars, avoiding taxis and tuk-tuks. 3. Eat all your meals at the hotel and avoid going out at night. For hygiene reasons, I avoided food stalls to avoid stomach aches. I also avoided going out after 6 PM. Going out at night is especially dangerous. Be careful of your flight arrival time. Money is priceless. 4. Pay attention to restroom conditions • Restrooms are hard to find in the city, so it's recommended to use them before going out to avoid the risk of stomach aches. [Health Management: Stomach Aches & Dengue Fever Prevention] ☺️ Stomach Aches Prevention (Successful!) • Avoid raw vegetables and fruit (eat cooked food). • Use bottled water even when brushing your teeth. • Don't trust free water at hotels; drink water from unopened bottles. (Always check that the lid is closed before purchasing. Open bottles are sometimes sold.) • Avoid gargling while showering and getting water in your eyes. (Due to the risk of conjunctivitis and dysentery.) 🦟 Dengue Fever Prevention (with some regrets) I was bitten by mosquitoes three times. 😭 • I should have used insect repellent more frequently. (Once a day wasn't enough. 😢) • I should have worn light-colored clothing (especially white). Black and gray clothing attract mosquitoes, so be careful. • If you're prone to mosquito bites, it's best to avoid dengue fever season. 📝Finally: For those considering a trip to India India is an exciting and fascinating country with many historical heritage sites, but my honest opinion is that it's "for experienced travelers." Especially when traveling alone as a woman, thorough security, health, and hygiene measures are extremely important. I explored the Hawa Mahal, its honeycomb windows catching the afternoon sun, and wandered through the Amber Fort, where elephants carried tourists up the sandstone hills. The air smelled of masala and sweets, and shopkeepers called out with friendly smiles. I couldn’t resist buying a handmade scarf in bright Rajasthani colors. Dinner was a feast of dal bati churma and spiced lassi under a sky full of stars. Jaipur is not just a destination — it’s a celebration of color and life itself.

#SeptemberDestinations2025 Amber Fort, formerly known as Amer Fort, is located on a hill 11 kilometers north of Jaipur in Rajasthan, India. Built in 1592 by King Man Singh I, Amber Fort boasts a commanding position on a steep, impenetrable terrain. Surrounded by winding walls and a moat, the fort is meticulously crafted from red sandstone and white marble, blending Mughal influences with traditional Rajasthani architecture to create a fortress that is both sturdy and magnificent. Before entering Amber Fort, a herd of elephants gathers at the foot of the hill, where visitors are led slowly along the road towards the fort. The Amber Fort has several highlights, including the Suraj Pol (Victory Gate), the Diwan-i-Aam (People's Hall), the Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), the Jai Mandir (Victory Palace), and the Kesar Kyari (Ceylon Garden). The fort's geometrically designed gardens, resembling a maze, once cultivated precious saffron for the royal family. After the tour, jeeps are available to take visitors down the hillside next to the fort, allowing for a complete walk from the ascent to the descent. The only time you'll need to move your legs is during the Amber Fort visit, a truly thoughtful gesture.

#SeptemberGoodPlaces2025 After visiting Amber Fort, we took a jeep to the base of the hill to meet up for the bus. Not far away, we spotted the Panna Meena Kakund, a stepwell that bore a striking resemblance to Chand Baori, the moon well in Abhanali Village east of Jaipur. This stepwell wasn't part of our itinerary, so we took advantage of the short wait for the bus and a restroom break to snap away photos. This stepwell, built in the 16th century, is slightly smaller than Chand Baori and features three crisscrossing steps with small niches along the walls. While both steps share geometric shapes, the designs differ slightly. One must admire the skill of Indian artisans, who manage to create such a seemingly complex pattern with such ingenious and neat arrangement.

Here you can see a timer that is accurate to the minute and second, and it can still accurately measure modern time⏱. 4⃣City Palace⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The palace is located in the Pink City of Jaipur. If you’re heading to #jaipur then you have to stop by the forts there! The Nahargargh, Jaigargh and Amber Fort are all nearby each other and should definitely be visited. (This post is about Jaigargh only, please look at the other posts for the other two forts). How to get there? You can book an ola or uber for each ride but it would be more convenient to rent out a cab for 8 hours for about 2000rs. Doing such, you have enough time to get to all three forts and take enough pictures.

We went to Jaipur (Pink city and capital of Rajasthan, India). The climate was pleasant. Min temp 16C. 3 nights stay in the city is enough to enjoy the place. We stayed at one of the palace hotel, Jai Mahal which is managed by Taj. Ideal time for visit - December month ( Also enjoy Jaipur Marriages) Place of Interest (My recommendations) Day 1 - You will arrive by 1.00 PM so head to Jal Mahal, Hawa Mahal, Birla Temple. Do some shopping and Jauhari Bazar and Baapu Bazar. Day 2 - Head to Rambaug Palace and have your lunch there. In the evening go to Chokhi Dhani. Day 3 - Visit Amber Fort, Jai Fort, Jantar Mantar and City Palace Day4 - Now its time to move on. Don't forget to buy Jaipur sweets. The famous are Narayan for Gajak, LMB for Ghevar, Rawat for Kachori and Kanha for Kalakand. Don't go to places recommended by the taxi or city tour operators. The above places will give you the most and best coverage of the city and will not make your travel hectic.

On this trip to India, one of the places that impressed me at first sight was Amber Fort in Jaipur. Just driving closer, you can see the massive fort perched on a hill. Its orange and gold colors contrast beautifully with the mountains; it exudes grandeur even before you step inside. The day I went was scorching hot, typical Indian weather – the sun was blazing. I was sweating after just a short walk! 😅 But once inside, it was totally worth it. The architectural details are truly magnificent, from the intricate carvings and walls to the dazzling stained-glass windows. Another thing I loved was the view from the top of the fort, seeing the long walls winding along the mountainside. It felt like an ancient city wall still alive. Despite the harsh weather, the atmosphere inside was indescribably charming. It was a blend of grandeur, antiquity, and a deeply ingrained cultural heritage.
