With a short hike of 30-40 minutes from Serpentona where you can park your car. Is a very good place to visit for a day of sun when you do have a car in menorca.
You can pick to stay on Cala Macarella that is slightly bigger and has some restaurant options. Or with another short hike go for the very cozy Cala Macarelleta. Be aware that this one gets very crowded in August and there is a chance that there is no spot to put a towel .#menorca

The Enigmatic Labyrinth of Menorca
Lithica is a fascinating stone quarry and labyrinth located in Menorca, Spain, offering a unique and captivating experience for visitors. The quarry was once a major source of sandstone, used for building structures and monuments across the island. However, after centuries of extraction, the quarry was abandoned, leaving behind a mesmerizing landscape of sunken pits and towering stone walls. Lithica has been transformed into a delightful attraction, where visitors can explore the labyrinthine passages and learn about the history of stone extraction in Menorca. Aside from its historical significance, Lithica is also a botanical garden, home to a diverse collection of Mediterranean plants and flowers.

The Unique Talaiotic Culture of Menorca
Taulas, stone monuments found in Menorca, resemble Stonehenge and were built by the Talaiotic culture between 500 BC and 300 BC. These structures consist of a vertical pillar with a horizontal stone on top, often enclosed by a U-shaped wall. While their exact purpose remains unknown, they likely had religious and/or astronomical significance. Many taulas face south, suggesting an astronomical connection. Some speculate they were part of an ancient healing cult. Examples can be found at various sites, including Torre Trencada, Talatí de Dalt, Torrellissá Nou, Trepucó, and Torralba d'en Salord.
