Arles, which took about 4 hours by train from Paris☺️ If you walk a few more minutes with the beautiful Rhone River, you will find the Arles Coliseum and the yellow and pretty Van Gogh Cafe and the old, small, pretty city. Since it is an old city, the ground was so bumpy when I arrived that it was hard to drag my suitcase😂 Fortunately, the accommodation was so good that I recovered all my fatigue This is a more expensive tourist destination than I thought, so the prices and accommodation were both expensive But I think I booked a clean and good place at a reasonable price! It's a city that perfectly blends art with its ancient history: you can walk through the spaces where Van Gogh once lived and created, and experience the city walls, theaters, and streets left behind from the Roman era. Van Gogh lived in Arles for only about 14 months, yet this period saw his most prolific creative output, resulting in over 300 works—including approximately 200 oil paintings and over 100 drawings and watercolors—many of which were created here. Transportation🚗: Taking the train from Avignon Centre to Arles is very convenient. A few weeks ago, my friends and I visited Arles in southern France to explore the renowned Arles Amphitheatre (Arènes d’Arles). This ancient arena, built during the Roman era, has stood the test of nearly two millennia and remains majestic to this day. As we stepped into the circular arena, the stone steps, arches, and stands seemed to still echo with the cheers of ancient spectators. Sunlight streamed through the arches, illuminating traces of history and evoking a profound sense of the passage of time. We walked along the elevated pathways, circling the arena and overlooking the entire old town of Arles. That moment was both awe-inspiring and moving, as if we had traveled through time to encounter the grandeur of ancient Roman civilization.

The Arles Market (Le Marché d’Arles) is open on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, usually opening early and closing around noon or a little after. I rushed to the market just before closing time. The rows of shops are lined up one after another, making it easy to just stroll through.  🎛 The variety of goods on display was diverse, with stalls selling LP records, movie posters, vintage clothing, and handmade pottery. So good — the cream on top is sweet but not heavy, very light, and the peanut butter filling slowly melts in your mouth. This is a museum (Museon Arlaten) that tells the overall history of Provence. It has a courtyard that used to be a Roman square. You can climb the stairs as if you were exploring a museum, with a gorgeous staircase mural that tells you about the next exhibition.
