Crossing the Old Main Bridge, lined with statues, felt like stepping back in time — and grabbing a local Franconian wine from a small stall on the bridge was a must. Next, I traveled to Augsburg, one of Germany’s oldest cities. Its Renaissance architecture and peaceful canals gave the city a unique atmosphere. I explored the historic Fuggerei, the world’s oldest social housing complex still in use, and wandered around the town hall square, admiring the impressive façade and the Perlach Tower nearby. My last stop was Landshut, a smaller but incredibly picturesque city. The colorful old town streets led me to St. Martin’s Church, with its towering brick spire, and the Trausnitz Castle on the hill offered views over the entire city. Landshut felt quieter and more intimate, the perfect way to end my Bavarian adventure.
