🇱🇰 Named after the sacred mountain Adam's Peak, the 1141-metre Little Adam’s Peak is a pyramidal-shaped hill located in the tea country hill city, Ella, Sri Lanka. It is the most popular hiking spot in Ella due to its relatively easy climb and spectacular 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains from the peak. The trailhead starts next to Ravana Pool Club located about 4 km to the south-east of Ella town centre. It can be easily reached by hiring a tuk-tuk. Our family took about 30 minutes to reach the peak. It is better to set out early in the morning or in the evening to avoid the scorching sun. Nine Arch Bridge was built by the British in 1912, with its nine stunning arches. It is located between Ella & Demodara station. Trains pass the bridge about 6 times a day. The exact times change all the time in Sri Lanka but there should be one every hour. unfortunately when we arrived here, it was quite late in the evening and it was starting to rain heavily that we didnt get to wait for the train.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, though some areas of the hotel are a little worn and could use an update. However that shouldn’t detract from an enjoyable stay. The place has beach access and a playground area which is nice. Few activities were there such as pool table, chess, table tennis and carom. Swimming pool area was good but small in size and 1.2m deep. The sea view from our room was stunning. Service was excellent, with a special mention to Sampath from Concierge who very kindly helped us pack/box some of our oversized fragile souvenirs. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel. #freechinahotelstay #holidays

#hiddengems Kumbalwela Mahamevnawa Temple in Bandarawela is a peaceful retreat nestled in Sri Lanka’s lush hills. The temple offers a serene and spiritual atmosphere, perfect for meditation and reflection. The architecture is beautifully intricate, with statues and carvings that tell stories of Buddha’s teachings. The surrounding nature adds to the tranquil vibe, making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. One will really enjoy the panoramic views and the calming sounds of nature. Visiting the temple is a truly enriching experience that leaves you feeling at peace and connected with the essence of Sri Lankan spirituality. My rating: 3.5 ⭐️ out of 5!

#celebrateit Celebration hiking to Little Adam’s peak was the best decision ever. The views are incredibly beautiful. When hiking you can have a break in the middle of the way, the is a coffee place and some shops. Entrance to the peak itself is free. Emotions you will get being in the top cannot be expressed, although climbing may appear not super easy for some people 😄

My visit to Diyaluma Falls was an amazing and thrilling experience 🌿🌊. The waterfall is one of the most beautiful in Sri Lanka, featuring stunning views and captivating scenery of the surrounding forest and hills 🏞️. I enjoyed walking along the natural trail leading to the falls, which was refreshing and filled with the beauty of nature 🍃. Upon arrival, the view was breathtaking, and I felt rejuvenated under the cool droplets 😊. I took many souvenir photos of this special moment and the magnificent landscape 📸. The local staff were friendly and helpful, making the experience smoother and safer. It was an unforgettable visit, and I look forward to returning to further explore the splendor of Upper Diyaluma Waterfall.

However, the air outside is very fresh and I woke up to the birds singing in the morning. The breakfast was also very luxurious and everything was delicious. Type "Ella Sri Lanka" and I'm sure the majority of the images you see is the iconic Nine Arches Bridge, a viaduct train bridge built entirely of bricks and cement without any steel support. The 91-m bridge was built around 100 years ago to connect two hills during the construction of Kandy-Badulla railway. It has become a popular photo spot in recent years and most tourists will not miss the chance of walking along the bridge. There are also many other viewpoints around the area. We chose to stop by Asanka Cafe which overlooks the bridge from a higher ground. It is a family run cafe which serves simple drinks and snacks. The Nine Arches Bridge was built by the British in the 1930s and is still an active railway line today. Situated close to the main downtown area of Ella, it is a popular tourist attraction. The best way to get there is to hire a tuk tuk as the walk can be quite steep. On the railway, there are people that are selling different type of soft drinks and fruits too. It is a busy attraction but a very picturesque one too

Little Adam’s Peak is a lovely walk situated not far from downtown Ella. The walk has tea plantations on one side and great views of mountains on the other side. The walk is very easy to do with good signage along the route. At the top, there is a shop and cafe as well as other activities to do such as zip-lining and wall climbing. There are some toilets at the top of the walk too

nine arches bridge is just splendid. it's in Ella and it's totally a must see. you start off from the parking lot and walk about 1.5km to their bridge. there you can take many Instagram shots and sit at the terrace cafes while you take in the view. absolutely magnificent
