If you prefer peace and quiet then head to this place, this is Dicasalarin Cove. You can actually just come here for a quick day trip, basically just one of your stops while you travel around Baler. The views are spectacular, it is unlike the usual Philippine mountain views and terrains. PS. It has very steep road and it is a bit challenging. Baler, Aurora is known for there beach. One of the best surfing beach is in Dingalan the beach is white sand this is a must see tourist destination they have an entrance fee that you need to pay once you enter the establishment and you can also have a camp because there is a tent were you can stay over night. Baler is undoubtedly the best surfing spot in the Philippines. Sabang Beach within the Baler Bay is located at the Pacific side of the archipelago has long pebbled sand beaches and big waves perfect to create big waves suitable for surfing. We packed our bags and drove eastward to Baler for my nephew's birthday. After trying surfing once, the kids wanted to take it up a notch higher by trying out Baler. While most of us are beginner surfer, that didn't stop us. The resort we stayed at, Nalu Surf Camp partnered with locals get naives like us make the most of the experience. We rented surfboards and had instructors give us lessons and patiently guided us through as we try to conquer and ride the waves. It was not all pretty through. We had to fall countless times and had to patiently wait for that perfect wave only to get that perfect moment to stay up and maintain balance on the surf boards. It was definitely an experience worth trying and doing over and over again. It is something that grows into you. So what else are you waiting for? #falladventures #travel #familytravel Baler is known for it's surfing. If this is the main reason to go to Baler, then Sabang will be your best destination. If, on the other hand, you prefer some peace and quiet, Dicasalarin Cove will be your best bet. Tucked on the other side of a hill, one has to climb up which actually gives a wonderful view of the water. Then as you descend, you are greeted with lush greeneries. It's quiet, it's peaceful. You can come here for a day trip. But I heard recently that you can actually stay here by reserving one of the cottages. Being that we are already billeted in Sabang, we came here for a spur of the moment day trip. With no preparations, we were thankful that there was a restaurant that actually serves good food. You can order as you go in and just let them know where you will be situated in the resort and they will go and deliver your food once it's ready. Just a little word of caution, their servings are big. We were 5 and we ordered several dishes thinking we had 3 guys. But even with them, we were unable to finish our food. We had grilled squid, tokwa't baboy, kilawin na tanigue, ensaladang talong and an order each of sinigang na tanigue and hipon. And boy, we were already turning blue in our faces and still couldn't manage to finish it. Back to the cove, you do have to pay for an entrance fee. But if you're a guest at Costa Pacifica, you get a discount. I think that's such a good idea for maintenance of the property. We did notice that the resort was well maintained. The grounds were clean, as well as the beach. The only thing I didn't like about it was tour boats can access the property from the beach. And with that, these tour boats bring litter and even crude oil to the beach. Hopefully, they would be able to do something about that. I would say early in the morning would be the best time to go there to avoid the tour boats and stay until lunch. If you enjoy the pictures, please like them! Sabang is truly authentic, humble living, kknd and generous people who are very happy that you visited. Very simple structures, if you are seeking sophistication outside the hotels you might be disappointed.. this was a great lesson for my 7 year old to see how people live with limited resources; but they are kind, generous and always wear a smile . UNESCO heritage site … so stunning … only downfall is the roads, they are not many so journey from one end to the other can be long. If you enjoy the pictures, please like them! Take a van from Manila, go to Batangas for about 1 hour and 30 minutes, then take a speedboat and go to Sabang Beach for about 30 minutes. ㅋ The ride is tiring, but once you arrive, time flies by. They say that Mindoro Island is a popular place for scuba diving. It's a great place to heal, and the underwater viewing is also fun. If you meet a good scuba instructor, they'll take you around and take pictures for you, but it's hit or miss. ㅋ If you have a good conversation, it'll be even better. I've been there a total of 3 times and only did one experience dive, but I'm planning to stay for 13 nights and 14 days this May to get my scuba license. Happiness is when you can enjoy it~^^
