The Baolos resort boasts breathtaking scenery with an expansive view of the endless sea. The housekeeping staff is incredibly attentive and prompt. Breakfast is tasty with a wide range of options. They even went the extra mile to arrange a special honeymoon meal and room.

We had a delightful 3-night stay at the Baros water villa with a pool. The island is beautiful and incredibly peaceful! While the food is on the pricier side, the quality is truly excellent. Our butler, Rau, was extremely accommodating during our stay. She even arranged a late check-out for us, allowing us the chance to enjoy the Baros Garden villa with a pool as well.

I had a delightful holiday at Baros. My butler, Shinta Febrina, is such a lovely person. She was always cheerful and ready to assist me whenever I faced any issues or needed help. My English isn’t very fluent, but she patiently spoke to me slowly, which I really appreciated. Every staff member on the island was incredibly warm and greeted me each time we crossed paths. I’m truly grateful for their wonderful hospitality.

Our butler, Anas, was exceptional—he handled every detail with ease, from arranging our activities to surprising us with a complimentary beach dinner, beautifully served by the amazing Abdula. His cheerful and caring attitude stood out, and on our final night, he even upgraded us to an overwater bungalow as a special treat. The meals were absolutely incredible—fresh and flavorful dishes that we already miss dearly. And the dolphin cruise was magical: groups of spinner dolphins playfully chasing the sunset. It was the perfect place to begin our life together.

We spent 5 nights at Baros and were greeted at Male airport, where we were guided to the speedboat that whisked us to the resort. On arrival, we were welcomed at the jetty with champagne and introduced to our Butler, Mika, who was always available via WhatsApp to assist with anything we needed. Mika updated us daily on the available activities, which was very helpful. The Lime restaurant was excellent, with breakfast being a standout—simply spectacular. Shimla consistently ensured we were comfortable. Cayenne was a real treat for dining, though we didn’t have the chance to try the Lighthouse. Staying in the overwater villa was incredible; enjoying tea on the deck each morning, surrounded by sharks, rays, and other stunning marine life, was unforgettable. Sai did a fantastic job keeping our room immaculate and was very friendly throughout our stay. The Sails bar was a lovely spot with welcoming staff, and the snorkeling experience was some of the best we've ever had. The Dive Centre team was always ready with guidance and support. I highly recommend Baros as a perfect destination for an adult getaway filled with unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime moments.

Food: Our Half Board included breakfast and dinner at Lime. The food selection was unbeatable with incredible quality, richness, and variety. The diverse cuisines were simply irresistible. Services: The staff were outstanding in their service. I was well attended to by two butlers, Aziza and Sujaya (Suzy), who were both highly professional and extremely helpful. Room attendants Aniul and Arvind, along with Manager Naseem, were also fantastic. Baros is a must-visit!

Visiting Baros was my first time in the Maldives, and the island's location just a 25-minute boat ride from Male made it an ideal destination. It was great avoiding longer plane rides to other islands. Although July brings a mix of rain and cloudy skies, the sun can still sneak up on you—beware of possible sunburns! The villas are spacious and provide plenty of privacy. My deluxe villa featured a private garden with an outdoor bath, cleaned meticulously twice a day. The bathing experience under the evening sky was exceptional. Food here is truly fantastic, with breakfast offering an extensive variety. Beyond the à la carte options, the food bar boasts fresh juice, freshly baked bread, sushi, fish, exotic fruits, bacon, sausages, and so much more. Dinner is just as impressive at one of the three restaurants. While prices are on the higher end, the food is excellent—especially the Angus beef tenderloin, perfectly prepared to order, which other places sometimes struggle with. The staff stands out, offering exceptional service. They are attentive, friendly, and even remember your name, adding a personal touch to the experience. The snorkeling around Baros is outstanding; stunning coral reefs and vibrant fish species lie just meters from the shore. If you plan to snorkel, I recommend wearing protective skin gear—like gloves and booties—to guard against sunburns and coral cuts. Overall, my stay was delightful, and I can't wait to return. Anas handled everything immediately—any request or concern was addressed within seconds. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing. The diving course was another standout experience. Ambra was incredibly patient and understanding with all of us. The house reef is indescribable. From the water villa, you step directly into the ocean, and as soon as you start swimming, you’re surrounded by vibrant fish, corals, sharks, and turtles. The food was outstanding, and the breakfasts were truly dreamy. I can wholeheartedly recommend ending your vacation here—be it watersports, diving, snorkeling, spa treatments, or the variety of daily activities, this place truly leaves nothing to be desired. Fortunately, the hotel staff greeted us warmly, all smiles. After a 30-minute boat ride, we reached the island, where the staff was waiting at the jetty. There was no drawn-out check-in process; our butler, Mr. Saeed, escorted us straight to our room. This thoughtful gesture immediately helped us relax. During our four-day, three-night stay at Baros, snorkeling and in-villa dining were our highlights. The meals were delicious, and the service was top-notch. Mr. Saeed was especially attentive, meticulously explaining the daily activities and ensuring that every need was taken care of. Overall, our experience was outstanding, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

He suggested I try the waffle, which turned out to be surprisingly delicious. He also treated us to some tasty ice cream and always checked on us in such a warm, friendly manner. Shimla, the hostess at the restaurant entrance, was equally lovely. One evening, she took us to see the baby sharks, which really delighted my mom. Our butler Saeed surprised me on our last day with a beautiful flower bubble bath. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and I truly appreciated it. During our snorkeling trip, the guide—who also leads the nature walk (apologies, I forgot his name)—was very patient and answered all of my questions about the weather and the eagle rays. He even took some great pictures for us. All in all, the island itself is peaceful and relaxing, but it was the warm and attentive staff who made this stay unforgettable.

The breakfast is fantastic, so much so that skipping lunch is easy, and the dinner menu is equally delightful, with delicious and beautifully presented food. We extend gratitude to Mika for her personal care, ensuring we made the most of our stay. It was a pleasure meeting her and having her organize our excursions. Baros is quaint and stunning with an admirable conservation focus. Select a room that doesn't face Mali. Bring American dollars for tipping (though service can be added to your bills), as the staff are outstanding and the resort warmly welcoming. If you enjoy a drink, be prepared for an expensive bar tab, but paradise comes at a price, doesn't it? A small island, a tiny resort—for good things come in small packages! We'll definitely return.

What a fantastic holiday! Every aspect, from the warm welcome at the airport to our departure, was truly outstanding. Baros as an island and resort is stunning—it feels like a mini haven offering exclusivity and luxury at every turn. The island is small enough to stroll around in roughly ten minutes. The staff were extremely attentive and gracious; special appreciation to our favorite, Sujata :) Our butler, Sujata, welcomed us upon arrival and she was exceptional—such a delightful lady who ensured our experience was memorable and unique. We stayed on a half-board plan; the breakfast was stellar with a remarkable variety of fresh selections including cooked breakfast, fruits, yogurt, pastries, meats, cheese, and fish. Among the three evening restaurants, the complimentary one was very nice. We dined at the French restaurant and tried the teppanyaki—both were great, though a bit pricey. For my partner's birthday, I arranged a private beach dinner, and the staff made it particularly memorable (see pics). We snorkeled a lot, spotted numerous fish, turtles, and even some reef sharks! I’d definitely recommend the dolphin sunset trip. Sujata joined us for this and once again made the afternoon special with champagne and snacks, and took some fabulous photos and videos to capture our shared memories.
