2026 Battersea Travel Guide: must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transport & travel experiences (updated in July)

Great place to explore in and around the power station. Cool cafes and coffee shops. Lovely restaurants. A walk along the river is a must. Made our way to Chelsea Harbour on previous visits. Cut into the beautiful and big Battersea Park with its picturesque lake, flora and forna. There are a couple of bar and restaurants on the edge of the lake, which on a Sunday morning / afternoon seems popular with music playing and pedalos available for hire across the water.

Decided to take a slight detour before the cricket game at the Oval and visit Battersea Power Station. 🏖️Ambiance/Facilities: Lovely chilled vibe, lots of space, many families visiting for the Jurassic World. Plenty of places to eat, shop and grab a coffee. So much more to explore so need to visit again.

This bakery is absolutely stunning, and it was packed with people on Sunday morning. 🍫 I tried a dark chocolate croissant this time, and it was filled to the brim with chocolate! It tasted like high-quality dark chocolate, with an intense and rich aroma. 🍋 I also got a lemon-flavored pastry, which was beautifully made. The cream on top was sweet but not overwhelming, and the little drops of lemon curd added both decoration and a refreshing tangy flavor!
