Amazing experience in the scottish Highlands. Visited Beauly, Dingwall and Ullapool. The chilling climate was cherishing. One must visit the Highlands anytime of his life. It was really amazing . We travelled from Edinburgh to Inverness and the trip was worth the hype. The breakfast we had from a local cafe was extraordinary. Visited Scottish museums and Distilleries.

Moreover, the hotel is named after Jamie Fraser’s grandfather. The guest rooms are slightly more senior in style, with a lot of Scottish check fabric and a deer head decoration. Comfortable style, but spacious and practical. Equipped with quality bedding, TV, fully equipped bathroom. A night stay is possible though, as the mattress is average. The restaurant is quite famous locally, the breakfast is Scottish with more black pudding than traditional English. Black pudding is a British and Irish blood sausage made from pig blood with lard, oats (or other grains). A little like Taiwanese blood sausage, but without glutinous rice.
