They offer dozens of games, but there wasn't a single other visitor around while I was there. The staff doesn't speak English, and even with a translation app, they couldn't explain the rules to me. They just pointed to some tokens, which I gathered you have to buy at the entrance to play. 🤔 What felt off: The venue is massive, but it feels somewhat desolate and unlived-in. There’s a hotel that appears to be closed, and most of the shops and cafes are completely empty. The only food I spotted was a lone hot dog stand. There are barely any tourists. It’s honestly hard to figure out who their target audience is. Admission is 80 yuan. I think that's pretty steep for a project that seems so half-baked. The Verdict: If you're bored of lounging on the beach in Beidaihe or the weather turns sour, it's worth dropping by, but don't get your hopes up too high.

Prices for accommodation, food, and entertainment understandably skyrocket. In June and September, the water is around +18...20°C—it's brisk, but if you're tough enough, it's totally fine for short swims (tested it myself!). Plus, June is fresh and breezy, and word has it that September offers the tastiest and meatiest crabs. Off-season prices are significantly lower. I paid less than 150 RMB per night for a spacious room with a balcony just five minutes from the sea. 🪼 Jellyfish. As the sea warms up, they become more common. Warning signs are posted all over the beaches. The Bohai Sea is home to several types of jellyfish, including venomous ones. Their sting causes severe burning, redness, and can trigger an allergic reaction. To protect beachgoers, barrier nets are installed along the shore. Fortunately, the only jellyfish I saw were on my plate. Jellyfish salad is a local specialty, served with fresh cucumber and a sesame dressing. Highly recommended! 🌊 Waves and wind. They can be quite noticeable here, which is why Beidaihe regularly hosts sailing regattas. During the warm season, from April to September, southerly winds prevail in this area. Air masses move from the sea to the land and, encountering no natural obstacles, drive waves toward the shore. On particularly windy days, beaches might be closed for swimming. I caught one of those days. Statistically, May is the windiest month, and August is the calmest. September can bring storms to the sea. Keep this in mind when planning your trip. 🐯 Tiger Stone Beach. This is Beidaihe's first and most famous seaside resort, with a history of over 100 years. It got its name from the huge boulders that, from a distance, look like a group of tigers resting on the sand. During the peak season, there is an entrance fee of 8 RMB. It was free when I visited in June. It's always crowded—tourists love doing photoshoots on the rocks. 🚠 Nandaihe New Resort Area Beach. Its main highlight is China's only over-sea cable car, stretching 1,038 meters. The open chairlift takes you to Xianluo Amusement Island (I have a separate detailed post about it). The one-way trip takes 15 minutes. A round-trip ticket in June 2026 cost 115 RMB. You can return by boat, but it will be pricier. There's nowhere to swim on Xianluo Island—no beach and no water access. So if you want to combine the cable car ride with some beach time, plan to swim near the boarding area; there are swimming zones set up on both sides of the lift. Important tip: there can be long lines for the cable car during peak season, so arriving early in the morning is highly recommended. 🥏 Blue Coast Beach is located in the upscale Seatopia residential area. It's a developer's project that transformed a stretch of the shore into a well-landscaped recreation space. Importantly, it's open to the public and admission is free. There's a boom barrier at the entrance to Seatopia, but taxis from the city are let through without any issues. The beach is famous for its pier that extends far into the sea—a great spot for a stroll and watching the sunset. At the end of the pier sits an art installation: a pagoda with a little blue man meditating in the lotus position. It's very symbolic, as that's exactly the vibe you catch here. Another hallmark of the beach is the conceptual bookstore, Cat’s Fantasy. It has a coffee shop where you can grab an iced latte in the heat and chill in the cozy interior. Other popular photo spots for tourists include the cloud swings and a sculpture of a couple running along the beach. Also, the Blue Coast is home to the training base of the Chinese Yachting Association. During the regatta season from June to August, you can watch athletes competing and training. I am writing my first post today. this is about our recent trip to this lovely small city of Beidaihe , Neat Beijing. we did our two Nights and three days trip during recent october National day holidays. As it was a first long major holiday after COVID-19. So it was special but on the same time it was so called risky. we decided not to go far from Bejing and after doing some research on trip.com decided to visit this place. This city and it's attraction are wonderful. we really enjoyed the beach , Greate wall, fun filled evening , Photos , drinks .. and yes delicious Seafood. it was not a regular turist place hence was very nice crowd.. not too many people though it was National holiday Trip.com has provided very accurate information about this city .
