#February2025 Belgrade, this small town full of retro style, seems to take you back to the 1990s. Walking on the streets, Gothic beauties and leisurely pedestrians can be seen everywhere, forming a beautiful picture. Here, pet dogs are also a beautiful landscape on the streets. They are gentle in nature and add a lot of warmth to the city. We chose the Eden garden suites hotel located on Da Gong Street in the city center. The room was clean and soundproofed, with a small balcony, enough space, and the bathroom was separated into wet and dry areas. There are all kinds of dining and shopping around the hotel, which is very convenient. The hotel staff are also very friendly to tourists, providing thoughtful service and patiently answering customer questions!! The hotel is not expensive, the price/performance ratio is OK, it is worth recommending.

Surrounded by the faint scent of candle wax and the quiet hum of prayer, we felt humbled. From there, we wandered to Knez Mihailova, Belgrade’s vibrant pedestrian street. The air buzzed with life: locals chatting over coffee, street musicians playing lively tunes, and the aroma of fresh pastries drifting from nearby bakeries. We browsed a tiny bookstore overflowing with well-worn volumes and paused to watch a street artist sketch portraits. Every step revealed another layer of Belgrade’s charm. Then came Kalemegdan, and we weren’t prepared for the sheer scale of it. Perched above the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, the fortress felt timeless. We walked along the ancient stone walls, taking in the view of the rivers merging below. The sunset cast the sky in hues of orange and lavender, and for a moment, it felt like the city was at peace. The Nikola Tesla Museum added another layer of awe. Stepping into Tesla’s world, we marveled at his personal belongings, patents, and letters. The interactive exhibits were mesmerizing—watching electricity spark from a Tesla coil was like witnessing magic. It was a reminder of how one man’s brilliance still shapes the world today. Our final stop was the National Museum. Inside, we wandered through centuries of history and art, from delicate Roman artifacts to masterpieces by Serbian and European artists. Each piece told a story, and together, they painted a picture of a city shaped by creativity and resilience. Amidst the impressive collection, we also came face to face with a mummy. Belgrade doesn’t reveal all its beauty at once. It invites you to linger, to notice the small details, and to keep exploring. About Serbia? How much do you know? Serbia is located at the crossroads of central and southern Europe, on the Balkan Peninsula and the Pannonian Plain. Between 41° and 47° north latitude and 18° and 23° east longitude Area is 88,361 square kilometers (including Kosovo), located in the back of the Balkans, 13th in history. Position; With borders of 302 kilometers with Bosnia and Herzegovina, 318 kilometers with Bulgaria, 241 kilometers with Croatia, 151 kilometers with Hungary, 62 kilometers with North Macedonia, 124 kilometers with Montenegro, and 476 kilometers with Romania. The Pannonian Plain covers one-third of the northern part of Serbia, while the easternmost part of Serbia extends to the Wallachian Plain. The central terrain of the country, centered on the Sumadija region, is mainly composed of hills crossed by rivers. Mountains occupy one-third of the southern region of Serbia. The Dinara Alps extend along the flow of the Drina and Ibar rivers to the west and southwest. The Carpathian Mountains ⛰️ and the Balkan Mountains extend in a north-south direction in eastern Serbia. Most of Serbia's terrain is hilly. The eastern and western parts are extensions of the Stara and Dinaric mountain ranges respectively. The Vojvodina Plain in the north is part of the middle Danube River plain, with a dense river network and fertile soil. The southern region is composed of mountains and hills, including the Kosovo Basin and the Metohija Basin. Serbia's highest point is Mount Javor in the border between Albania and Kosovo, with an altitude of 2656 meters. Almost all of Serbia's rivers flow into the Black Sea through the Danube River. The Danube River is the second largest river in Europe, with a total length of 588 kilometers in Serbia (21% of its total length), and is an important source of water for the country. The Great Morava River is the longest river entirely within Serbia, with a length of 493 kilometers.

Zemun is on the south bank of the Danube River. You can take a bus from Belgrade, just search on Google. It takes over 40 minutes to walk from the Moscow Hotel where I stay. I went to the monument of the Chinese Embassy in former Yugoslavia early in the morning. The former embassy has now been converted into the China Cultural Center. It was built by Shandong Expressway Investment and is now mainly a hotel with staff responsible for cultural exchanges sent by the Shandong Provincial Government. During this year's Spring Festival, they organized a team, including lion dance, snacks, handicrafts, and traditional handicraft demonstrations, to tour Serbia like a temple fair. I flew with them on the same plane, and we met in Belgrade and Novi Sad, which was very lively. Zemeng is a small mountain town, it's better when the weather gets warmer~ It's a bit like a mini version of Zadar. In the highest point of the town, there is a café where you can sit inside, keep warm, and enjoy the view.

my last trip to Belgrade Serbia is end of 2018. Belgrade Serbia changed a lot in 5 years, especially the waterfront area along the Sava River, which is an urban renewal development project headed by the Government of Serbia aimed at improving Belgrade's cityscape and economy by revitalizing the Sava amphitheater, a neglected stretch of land on the right bank of the Sava river, between the Belgrade Fair and Branko's bridge. It was started in 2014 with the reconstruction of the Belgrade Cooperative building, which was finished in June of the same year. It is the second largest mixed use complex under construction in Europe, just after Minsk Mir, worth 3.5 billion dollars. #celebratewithtrip Welcome to the Fortress of Belgrade. This fortress is strategically located in the center of Belgrade next to the intersection between two rivers in Belgrade. Belgrade is the capital and biggest city in the Nation of Serbia. We spend a couple of days in Belgrade and went to the Belgrade Fortress everyday to watch the breathtaking sunset from the walls of the fortress. The fortress is free of entry and many people come here to take a walk around the area and have a few drinks. Getting there - We decided to use air transportation with Turkish airlines from Istanbul airport to Nikola Tesla airport. Attractions - Great cityscape, museums as a place to understand the history and culture of the Serbian state, Ice scating in the middle of capital city Belgrade. The vibe is very nice because there eis lots of space to sit down and stroll around so you can meet up with other people ir find your own quite place and listen to music. It is very Easy to get there wither by bus tram taxi or subway. Plan some time to walk around the outside walls of the Fortress to imagine how the inhabitants defend the Fortress back in the day. I was googling on what to do in Zemun and came across a blog saying that someone actually spend 1 to 2 hours of their time in a Cemetary. Who goes to a cemetary as a tourist attraction?!!? What!?!? After visiting the cemetary, I finally understood why people come here besides paying respects to the dead. It is the coolest cemetary I have ever seen. What is so special: 1) Normally cemetary are religious based i.e. muslim cemetaries, christian cemetary etc. But this one is multi-religious, with different parts dedicating to different religion which is really cool! 2) The tomb stones are super cool and varied, there are sculptures like a boxer, angels and all kinds of styles of tombstones.

When you visit a place and you see lots of old historical buildings, you know that the place has a lot of history in them. While I am travelling, I learn a lot about these buildings. Have you noticed that some old buildings you go to neither have aircon or fan on the ceiling? And ou wander are these restaurant owners and accomodation owners mad to not put them in their buildings especially summer time? It is not that they don't want to add them in but because they couldn't due to rules governing preservation of old buildings and that the infrastructure of the building does not allow for these additions.

One of my favourite things to do when travelling is to wander aimlessly and getting the feel of the city. Belgrade is kind of special in that aspect. You never know what you discover walking around, whether is it people, arts, places or things. One of my pleasant surprise walking around is finding really beautiful street art. Worda cannot do them justice, they are not grafitti or vendalism but real art work that beautifies the surroundings and add a unique flavour to the place. I hope to discover more of them in time while walking around belgrade. Caution: I was stopped by a military police asking for my passport while accidentally trespassing on a military location to take a photo. In my defence, the sign that says no trespassing is not very visible and the gate is wide open! So be careful.

You know a park is legit when: 1) you see locals all around it on park seats 2) picnic with mats on the ground 3) children running around 4) dogs chasing one another 5) lastly the greenery, fresh air and the vibes of course! Tasmajdan Park is right in the city centre in Belgrade with St Mark Church right beside it. So if you are going to see St Mark Church be sure not to take a stroll in the park. Also, there is a smaller park across the Road called Mali Tasmajdan. Best time to visit is early morning and close to evening before the sunset when it is not too warm (summer time). If you are visiting when the weather is colder, do it in the afternoon!

Belgrade is capital of Serbia. With a very long history and tradition, Belgrade is one of most, famous cities in Europe to visit. His perfect position, between East and West and at delta of two, rivers Danube and Sava, this city is one of must visit place. Ada Ciganlija, colloquially shortened to Ada, is a river island that has artificially been turned into a peninsula, located in the Sava River's course through central Belgrade, Serbia. The name can also refer to the adjoining artificial Lake Sava and its beach. To take advantage of its central location, over the past few decades, it was turned into an immensely popular recreational zone, most notable for its beaches and sports facilities, which, during summer seasons, can have over 100,000 visitors daily and up to 300,000 visitors over the weekend.Owing to this popularity, Ada Ciganlija has been commonly nicknamed "More Beograda" ("Belgrade's Sea"), which was officially accepted as an advertising slogan in 2008. it’s a perfect place to lay down and enjoy the sun as well as swimming at any time of the year, also great walks and running all around the river. Speak about astounding architecture and beauty - this Church is so outstandingly visible from every corner of Belgrade and is marvelous. Every day, its grandiose bell towers with almost 50 bells announce noon and I was lucky enough to hear the bells ring and echo so rhythmically and beautiful to the ears. The interiors are so beautifully done and maintained. A place of peace and serenity. Outside this Church, lots of people were lighting candles and praying.
