Mall hopping
Brand new mall in Bintulu. The air-conditioning is very cold!
Bintulu waterfront
#travellerswonderland
Waterfront area which is only about 50 meters behind the hotel where the state authorities had built a most beautiful promenade stretching for at least 2.5 km right up to the old town centre to the left and about 1.7 km to the right where the promenade ends. The promenade is as wide as a car lane and very well-maintained with clean paved tiles and a sea wall all the way to the town centre.
It is a haven for joggers and walkers as well as sunset lovers. A 15 to 20-minute leisurely stroll along this awesome beachfront will bring you to the town centre of Bintulu. Coincidentally, this is the longest waterfront in Sarawak and I’m sure the most beautiful too.
Taman Tumbina Zoo

The only free public Flora & Fauna park to visit. Seen improvement over the time but there's still a lot more in progress. Great for families to enjoy nature in urban areas. Wear good shoes as it takes a lot of walking & a hat to shade from the striking sun when weather is good. Overall it's just a good sweating session among nature, would be nice if there's more to see.
It's free!! And this place have few unique animals such as tiger (you need to be lucky to see it.. haha), bear, flamingo, eagles (many types of eagles).
Tanjung Batu? Speaks and stands for itself for its grand view.
Tanjung batu Beach have been steadily proving itself to have a great sunset view at the centre of Sarawak despite being an industrial place.
Well well, just sit down, relax and order an ABC to enjoy the sunset with a relaxing mind.
Well, the only downpoint is that the air isn't that fresh in Bintulu as it is an industrial zone with so many heavy industries. You may perhaps enjoy the sunset every evening yea?

Uniqueness of Bintulu, Sarawak!
Bintulu, situated on the northern coast of Sarawak, Malaysia, is a dynamic town renowned for its strategic location, industrial significance, and natural attractions. Serving as a major port city, Bintulu plays a vital role in the export of natural resources, particularly liquefied natural gas (LNG), contributing significantly to Malaysia's economy.
The town's economic prowess is largely attributed to its LNG production facility, one of the world's largest. This has spurred growth and development, leading to the establishment of modern infrastructure, including commercial centers, hotels, and educational institutions.
Bintulu's multicultural ambiance is evident in its diverse population, comprising Malay, Chinese, Iban, and other indigenous groups. This mix is reflected in the local cuisine, festivals, and traditions. The Borneo International Kite Festival and Borneo Cultural Festival are annual events that celebrate the region's cultural heritage through vibrant displays of music, dance, and arts.
The natural beauty surrounding Bintulu adds to its allure. Tanjung Batu Beach offers a serene escape for both locals and visitors, with its golden sands and calm waters. Similajau National Park, a short drive from the town, is a haven for nature enthusiasts, boasting lush rainforests, diverse wildlife, and picturesque beaches.
Bintulu's growth as an industrial hub hasn't diminished its commitment to preserving the environment. The town has embraced sustainable practices and green initiatives, balancing economic progress with ecological responsibility.
Despite its industrial focus, Bintulu maintains a relatively laid-back charm. The town's pace of life is more relaxed compared to larger urban centers, creating a comfortable environment for residents and visitors alike.
In conclusion, Bintulu, Sarawak, stands as a testament to the symbiosis of industry and nature. Its strategic economic role, cultural diversity, and natural attractions come together to create a unique destination that caters to both business and leisure interests. Whether exploring the bustling port area, experiencing local festivities, or enjoying the tranquility of its beaches and parks, Bintulu offers a multifaceted experience that captures the essence of modern Malaysia.

There are open space to play kites, open mic (you can sing in public), you can play bubbles, playground for the kids, well maintained jogging track also provided, picnic and mores. The food is good and got variety. Ample parking slots but if you come after 5pm it is hard to find parking.
