When I traveled to Breda, a small Dutch city, I stopped by a cafe called yirga, which was filled with locals and had a strong European atmosphere. The cafe's interior was charmingly decorated, and I remember the staff being incredibly friendly. #centraleurope I recommend it to everyone to visit this memorial to learn of Breda's history in an interactive manner. The museum assistants are super friendly and welcoming and they gave us an in-depth introduction of the space and information even though we didn't pay for a guided tour. Of special mention is a half-Polish assistant who proudly shared her heritage with us and had an informal and friendly chat with us. So much work and thought has been put into it and you can sense it in every detail. It's a quiet place, not too busy and invites to learn about the local history. It's at the outskirts of Breda centre but it's worth a walk. #thingstodo #travel #museums

#westerneurope If you like beer, this is a must visit in Breda. You not only walk through a nice collection of stuff related to beer industry and beer pubs, but also can order a drink from a good collection of beers from all over Netherlands, Belgium and other countries. The costs are very reasonable for the type and variety of beer you get. The hosts are really nice and always up for a nice little chat. And the place is very cozy and unique. You can also buy some of this collectables for a small price. #travel #museums

Breda is a city with a full range of restaurants and shopping options. It's quiet, yet packed with tourists, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing day out. The Asian oysters are delicious, and I highly recommend them. They're €5 each.

The carnival is related to Christian traditions and usually celebrate on Sunday until three days later. During this celebration, dutchies will wear colourful costumes (something like halloween version) and the celebration includes a lot of drinking and dancing to silly dutch songs. For families, they seems to be interested more with big parades. This kind of celebration is not celebrated in Amsterdam as it is more practice in the south cities of the country such Breda, Den Bosch, Limburg, Eindhoven and Maastricht. These cities usually will be super packed and crowded and many bars usually requires you to buy entree ticket beforehand.

This is a great and charming little café in. From the moment you step inside, you are captivated by the charm and beauty of the place. It may be a small café with approximately 10 two-person tables, but that doesn't take away from the loveliness of the place. The interior design is just as pleasant as the specialty coffees you can enjoy here. The café's specialty is the pistachio coffee, which is worth trying even if you're not typically a flavored coffee enthusiast. #europetrip For seafood lovers who are currently in The Netherlands, do not miss the chance to try this generous restaurant in Breda. They serve all kind of meats including frogs and kangaroo but the highlights is lobster and snow crab legs. It was super delicious and i cannot wait to be there again. If you decide to go, please make an earlier reservation as the lobster are quite famous among visitors. Staff will replenish the food of course, but it can take some time. Not just cold food, but warm section where you could freshly grill your meat is also available but I personally think it consume a but of time to wait.
