09:30 Arrival and Security Check: The main entrance is currently located on Jefferson Drive. Although the museum officially opens at 10:00, due to its immense popularity, it is strongly recommended to arrive 30 minutes early to queue. Please be sure to reserve your free timed-entry ticket in advance. After security, wait outside for the first wave of entry. Duration: 30 minutes
10:00 Part One: Flight Pioneers and Power Sources: Upon opening, head directly to the Flight Pioneers Gallery on the second floor. Here you will find the original Wright Flyer, the museum’s most prized artifact. In the same area, Amelia Earhart’s red Lockheed Vega is displayed, symbolizing the female aviation pioneer’s challenge to limits. Duration: 50 minutes
10:50 Part Two: Core Exploration of the Moon Landing Exhibit: Proceed to the Moon Landing exhibit on the first floor. The Apollo 11 command module is permanently displayed here, alongside Neil Armstrong’s spacesuit worn during his moonwalk and a lunar rover model used for moon surface training. This is the museum’s most historically significant exhibit, with stunning artifact details, so allow ample time for observation. Duration: 1 hour 20 minutes
12:10 Part Three: Flight Milestones and Reimagined Exhibits: Visit the Flight Milestones Gallery. This area features several heavyweight originals and famous models, including John Glenn’s Friendship 7 capsule, the Gemini manned spacecraft, the massive Skylab orbital station, the gleaming backup Apollo lunar lander, and the iconic X-wing starfighter model suspended from the ceiling from Star Wars. 13:00 Summary and Rest: You can visit the museum shop to purchase space food or souvenirs as mementos of your trip. This time slot is peak visitor flow, so it is recommended to leave the museum orderly after shopping. Duration: 15 minutes

Ticket Reservation: All visitors must hold a free timed-entry ticket for their visit slot. Reservations are usually released in batches 30 days in advance, with a maximum of 9 tickets per person.
Exhibit Hall Status: As of now, 13 exhibit halls have been renovated and reopened. The remaining 7 halls will open gradually throughout 2026, with 5 scheduled for July 1 and the last 2 expected to be completed in the fall. By year-end, the entire museum renovation will be complete.
Post-July 1 Visit Reminder: If your visit is after July 1, the museum displays will be more complete, and a longer visit is recommended for an in-depth experience.
