Hello!! I'm Bobusang, a travel enthusiast. This post is about my most recent trip to Australia, where I spent a warm Christmas!!! I spent my first summer Christmas there, and it was such a happy and healing trip, I'm here to share it with you. Every time I talk about my travels, I have so much to say, but I struggle to figure out what to talk about. This time, I'd like to share a unique experience: swimming in the ocean in winter! We visited Clovelly Beach and Bronte Beach, both about 40 minutes away from downtown Sydney by public transportation! There's a coastal path called the Coastal Walk, which stretches from Coogee Beach to Bondi Beach. We visited Clovelly Beach and Bronte Beach. 🙂↕️🙂↕️ The weather was clear and sunny when we left, but the clouds gradually gathered, and a light drizzle finally fell in Bronte. Still, we enjoyed swimming in the ocean to our heart's content, and it was a wonderful experience! Clovelly Beach is unique in that it has a path running along both sides, with a beach in the middle. I was thrilled to see people freely diving into the water from both sides (there were signs saying no diving, haha). However, when I actually went in, the rocks were quite sharp, so I didn't dive because it seemed dangerous!!! Hidden treasures are precious!!! And because the rocks were so sharp, wearing Crocs was a very wise decision. With my snorkeling gear on, I saw quite a few fish. The ocean was so beautiful and satisfying :3 After taking a nap at Clovelly and enjoying my favorite part of the day, I headed to the beach. You can walk to Bronte Beach in 20-30 minutes, or you can rent a shared bike! However, we had to stop by a pizza place to eat, so we had to walk back a bit, which was a bit of a hassle. Haha. After filling our bellies with pizza, we headed off for the second round of ocean swimming. 🏊♀️🏊🏼♂️ With dark clouds gathering and the wind picking up, the waves were the strongest I've ever experienced... ㄷㄷ Thanks to that, we had a blast in the natural wave pool, which was incomparable to the artificial waves at the water park. I fell over a few times in the incredibly strong waves, but that's part of the fun. I got up right away and jumped back into the ocean again... Even thinking about it now, it was so much fun... ㅠ I want to go again... slurp. The pool at Clovellych was covered in algae and didn't look appealing, but the pool at Bronte Beach was clean and deep, so we swam there again! After a day of swimming, I was sad to leave, so I lay down on the beach and sunbathe in the barely glaring sunlight. Then, a few drops of rain fell and we had to leave. ㅜㅜ I should've come even earlier, even if it meant cutting down on my morning sleep. 🥹 Still, I had a blast playing in the ocean. And maybe because it was Christmas, I saw some people wearing Santa hats or headbands. They were so cute, I wanted to bite them. Swimming in the ocean during Christmas in the summer? This place is heaven. ㅠㅠ I can't forget this experience and will go swimming in the ocean again in Australia. It captured my heart from the first step onto the tarmac at Sydney airport through to the breathtaking views during the coastal walk around Clovelly, Brontë and various other beaches. Day 1｜Sydney Opera House & Royal Botanic Garden I kicked off my trip at the Sydney Opera House — joined the guided tour, and wow… hearing the behind-the-scenes stories made me appreciate it so much more. Lunch was at Opera Bar, where you get the Opera House on one side, Harbour Bridge on the other… it felt unreal 💯. Afterwards, I wandered into the Royal Botanic Garden. Lying on the grass with the harbour sparkling in front of me? That was my “I could live here” moment. And yes… I went back at night for a show. Zero regrets! Day 2｜Taronga Zoo The ferry ride from Circular Quay to Taronga Zoo was already a highlight — the city skyline + the water = chef’s kiss 🚢. Inside the zoo, I finally met kangaroos, koalas, and even a wombat (cuter than I expected!). Had a lazy picnic lunch on the grass, just enjoying the sunshine. On the way back, I stopped at The Rocks — love those old cobblestone streets and harbour views. Day 3｜Bondi Beach & Coastal Walk I saved the beach day for last — started at Bondi Beach with a flat white in hand, watching surfers do their thing. Then I did the Bondi to Bronte Coastal Walk, and honestly… every few steps I had to stop for photos. The water was that blue. Spent the afternoon just floating around at Bronte Beach before wrapping up at Bondi Icebergs Club with a drink, watching the sunset sink into the ocean. #summervacay Bronte Beach quickly became one of my favorites. It has that relaxed, local feel—fewer crowds than Bondi but just as beautiful. I spent the morning swimming in the natural rockpool while watching surfers conquer the waves. Later, I found a picnic table under a palm tree and enjoyed fish tacos from a nearby café. The surrounding park was full of families and laughter. It felt like summer the way it should be: easy, breezy, and full of joy. #summervacay

I ordered truffle scrambled eggs and flat white… Wow, the scrambled eggs were really crunchy and had a rich truffle flavor!🍳✨ When I ate it with bread, it felt like brunch. The coffee was fresh and smooth, and the cup size was just right☕ The interior of the store was neat with white and wood tone, and when I sat by the window, it was full of sunlight🌞 The staff were all friendly, so I felt good from the time I ordered to the time I left!
