They even serve champagne on the boat (photo 11). ▫️ Castle Hill 🚡 (photos 10, 15) A 20-minute walk will take you to the top of the hill to enjoy the sunset, saving you the cost of the funicular ride, which you can use for a night cruise on the Danube instead. Experience the glory of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. I took the funicular up and walked down—both are worth trying! ▫️ Castle Hill Photo Spot 📍 Navigate to S. MARIAMATER DEI Take the elevator-escalator-elevator route all the way up without climbing. It's recommended to arrive before sunset to enjoy the view from the blue hour to the illuminated night—it's absolutely stunning! ▫️ Liberty Bridge Just a street away from the Central Market, you can watch pedestrians come and go while waiting for a yellow tram to pass by—it's a vibe unique to Budapest! Right next to it is the Central Market, and the retro tram passing by feels like a movie scene (photo 16). ▫️ Central Market Although it's a local farmers' market, you can find Hungarian specialty snacks and delicacies here, including the famous foie gras souvenirs. 📍 New York Cafe Ridanect, personally, I think the food is quite ordinary 😆 but it's worth visiting for photos (photo 12). Compared to other Eastern European cities, this city is safe and budget-friendly, making it perfect for slowing down and enjoying a leisurely travel pace.

Cirkusz is really a carbohydrate control paradise💥 The portions and food quality are absolutely great, no wonder it’s been on the top 25 brunches in the world for 8 consecutive years! 😋 The environment is very warm, however many people like it, often have to queue up, it is recommended that you must go early! Cirkusz, located in Port Elizabeth (1072 Budapest, Dob utca 25), is super popular with a variety of signature dishes, including roast chicken, roast pork tenderloin, sausage omelette, Egg Benedict and ham and egg muffins ~ 🥑 Guacamole Toast The portion is exaggerated! The avocado puree is covered with crispy bacon and sunny-side-up eggs, and there is a crispy French bread underneath! The entrance is super rich in layering, I can't stop eating it 🍞 French Toast Finally got the French toast I dreamed of! Tried several recommended popular restaurants in Budapest, but honestly, the taste was a bit hard to describe for us. However, the apple foie gras mash at Comme Chez Soi is truly worth a try! 🍎 Apple Mash with Foie Gras The foie gras is seared to perfection—crispy on the outside, tender and melt-in-your-mouth on the inside. Paired with apple slices and creamy mashed potatoes, the sweet and tangy apple perfectly balances the richness of the foie gras. This combination is surprisingly harmonious! Definitely a must-order dish in Budapest.✨ 🍝 Seafood Pasta The portion is huge! Enough for 3-4 people to share. Generous servings of seafood like mussels, prawns, and squid rings. The cooking style leans more towards Chinese stir-fried pasta, and their chili powder adds an extra kick—absolutely delicious. 🐌 French Escargot A rather ordinary dish. If there are other options, you might want to skip this one. Overall, this restaurant caters more to Chinese palates. Most of the diners on the day we visited were Chinese. The foie gras is outstanding, while the other dishes are decent but not exceptional. Service is top-notch! They even offer complimentary dessert wine and sorbet after the meal. If you plan to visit, make sure to book in advance, as walk-ins are likely to be turned away due to limited seating.

My first visit to Budapest during university left me with a lingering regret: I missed the thermal spas and Danube River cruise. Returning to the city last year, I vowed to make up for those missed opportunities! Capturing the Magical 7 PM Moment Due to concerns about the unpredictable weather, I didn't book my cruise tickets in advance, deciding to "see what the weather brings." Luckily, the weather in Budapest cleared up those few days, and I immediately booked a 7 PM cruise on KKday. This time slot is hailed online as the "golden hour"—not only can you capture the stunning sunset over the Danube, but you can also witness the magnificent Parliament Building being illuminated. Since it was a dream come true, I opted for the most luxurious option: live music and a buffet dinner. The two-hour cruise was destined to be a romantic and spectacular floating feast! Welcome drinks, aisle seats, just a hair's breadth away from the window seats. Knowing the "first come, first served" seating rule, we arrived at the boarding gate early. However, after receiving our welcome drinks, we were still assigned aisle seats, only one or two groups away from our dream window seats—a slight disappointment 🥲. However, as the ship slowly started moving, the disappointment vanished instantly. Inside the cabin, a sumptuous buffet dinner was immediately available, featuring 12 dishes of decent taste, setting a warm tone for the journey. The Parliament House Lights Up: This is the true face of Budapest. The cruise ship sailed from the orange-red of sunset into the deep night 🌌. For two hours, the Danube became our best viewpoint! We rediscovered Buda and Pest from different perspectives: the gleaming Parliament Building, the shimmering Margaret Bridge, the exquisite Matthias Church, and the Buda Castle and Fisherman's Bastion perched atop the hills. 🌟 My tip: Visit these sites on foot during the day, then enjoy them from the river at night for a completely different experience. This contrasting feeling will definitely make your memories of Budapest more profound and multifaceted. After dinner and a performance, I couldn't wait to head to the deck and enjoy the refreshing river breeze. The buildings were bathed in warm, orange light, and we stood quietly side by side, the only sound the gentle murmur of the water—the atmosphere was serene and enchanting. Just as the journey was nearing its end, several huge flashes of lightning suddenly streaked across the night sky, adding a dramatic climax! If you're looking for a great cafe in Budapest, these two places are a must-visit! 👏 ⸻ 💦 A Budapest must-visit: Szechenyi Baths The highlight of any independent Budapest trip is undoubtedly the Szechenyi Baths. You get a discount if you enter before 9 PM, and I was surprised at how clean they are! From the photos, it looked a bit crowded, but once you step inside, you'll be like, "Wow... a bath like this in Europe?" 😍 The water is warm, and the crowds are spread out more than you'd expect, making it a perfect way to start your day in Budapest leisurely. ⸻ 🍽 If you want traditional Hungarian food, try Menza Restaurant This is a must-visit when searching for delicious Hungarian food! Reservations are required for Menza Restaurant.
