As someone, who grew up in a small town just a 30-minute car ride away from Burgas, this was often an exciting day trip to take. To enjoy shopping and trying all the new brands being introduced in my country - still remember my first Happy Meal from McDonalds when I was a child; then my first coconut frappuccinno in Starbucks when I was in school - and think this is the best thing ever. But, most importantly, to spend a day away from grown up responsibilities with my best friend; or to get a glimpse into adulthood with my mother while having fun together in between business tasks. Yes, Burgas will always bring back memories of a content life surrounded by loved ones and full of adventure.

In Burgas, everyone I met (even the bus ticket seller and the grocery shop owner) put on a white red wool bracelet - Martenitsa.
