Hello,
I'm Weimei!!
My boyfriend and I decided to have something sweet for our date! 😍 So, we had to go to a dessert cafe!?! But I wanted to go somewhere I'd never been before, so I searched and found this place! It's Cafe Bondong near Gaegeum Station! Now, let's get started with the review! 🥰
Mondays are a limited-time bakery day, so please keep that in mind. The location is about 10 minutes from Exit 2 of Gaegeum Station! The exterior had a very sophisticated feel. The white building had a black door as a focal point, and the cafe name, Bondong, and its logo were also written in black, giving it a sophisticated yet eye-catching look.
As soon as I walked in, the bakery display caught my eye. There were so many desserts on the bakery display. I hesitated for a while about what to eat, but I ended up ordering a brownie, a chocolate cone, and a sweet potato bread. I was so hungry that I put everything I wanted in my bag. Haha.
At Cafe Bondong, you can taste their signature blend and three types of single-origin hand-drip coffee! For Single Origin, they use specialty-grade or higher coffee and roast it to the city to fully capture the unique characteristics of the green beans. You'll notice the right balance of acidity and sweetness, along with a smooth mouthfeel.
Furthermore, Cafe Bondong's signature blend, James Bondong, uses specialty-grade or higher coffee and is finished just before the full city, resulting in a smooth, everyday coffee. They use only the highest quality green beans, roasted directly by an experienced roaster, so I highly recommend Cafe Bondong's drip bag.
Looking at the menu, I saw the Bondong Latte and Milk Tea as signature items, so I ordered them.
They also have a study room. It seems like the perfect place for meetings or studying with friends.
There's plenty of seating. The spacious and quiet atmosphere attracts many study-minded customers. Our drinks and desserts arrived quickly. I'll have to try them to see how they taste!
First up: the Bondong Latte! It's characterized by being drunk without a straw or stirring. The caramel sauce inside the Bondong Latte is homemade, so it has a deep flavor and a pleasant sweetness.
Next is the milk tea! Stir well with a spoon and then drink with a straw. Using homemade Earl Grey and homemade black tea syrup, it has a mild flavor and a nice sweetness.
The brownie has a rich chocolate flavor that fills your mouth with sweetness. I recommend it for when you're stressed!
The chocolate cone looks like a chocolate chip cookie and comes with apple jam. And this apple jam is made right in-house! Wow... this cafe seems to make almost everything in-house 👍👍👍 The chocolate chips were embedded in the crispy crust, giving it a nice sweetness. It was even more delicious with apple jam spread on it.
The sweet potato bread was really soft and tender. It had sweet potato mousse inside, and I absolutely love sweet potato mousse. It was just my style. It paired well with the Bondong Latte and milk tea.
All of the desserts are made the same day, so they're always fresh and made with care.
This concludes my review of Cafe Bondong, which is delicious, fresh, and filled with care.
